Paul Newman Forgot How Democrats Acted

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has a new spokesperson and that person is none other than the has been actor and current food aficionado, Paul Newman. In the recent beg for money email, Newman discusses how he was proud to be involved with Democrats standing against Nixon and now he is happy to be with them as they go after George Bush. But, as Paul laments, his wonderful Democrats can not do what they want because they only have the slimmest margin in the Senate and can not stop the nasty Republicans:
“That’s why, when I was asked to send this message on behalf of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC), I quickly agreed. A Democratic Senate is the best defense against this administration. I am as frustrated as all of you that Congress hasn’t made more progress on issues we care about here in 2007. But I also know that Democrats only have a 51-49 majority in the Senate — and that Republicans, with threats of filibusters and vetoes, have tried to block just about everything. [emphasis mine] Politico
How soon these limp wristed pukes forget! During the Republican Majority, the Democrats blocked nearly everything Republicans tried to get done. A great number of George Bush’s judicial nominees never got the up or down vote to which they are entitled. Democrats failed to fulfill their Constitutional duty. How many filibusters did the Democrats engage in or threaten to engage in? It was so bad that there was discussion of the “Nuclear Option” which was thwarted when the gang of 14 came to a so called consensus. The Democrats are now getting a taste of their own medicine and while I was not happy with Democrats who obstructed government, (and am not happy when government is obstructed in general) I am happy that the Republicans are using these methods to stop shady back room deals and usurpation of the legislative process by the Democrats.
Speaking of the Nuclear option, I remember writing that one should NEVER trust a Democrat. I warned they would screw you the first chance they got. Anyone want to bet that the Democrats, who so opposed the “Nuclear Option” will try to enact that very thing in order to push their agenda? You watch, they are going to get around to that. Harry Reid is already using a ploy known as a Clay Pigeon to silence Republicans opposed to the Immigration Amnesty bill and prevent a filibuster. This is how Democrats play hardball and I warned, no i urged, Republicans to get that mean and ugly when they were in charge. They refused to play tough and now they are the minority. They might as well grab their ankles and smile.
As for Paul “I am insignificant” Newman, if he wants the Democrats to have the $114,000 or so they need then he should write them a check. He won’t do that because he is a typical liberal twit. He will tell you what to do with your money because he knows better how you should spend it. Of course, he might have already given the max but I am sure he has a few Hollywood friends who could cover this without sending an email pandering for cash. Oh wait, by doing that they assume they will get much more than what they need because people will not know what has already been given. This is how Democrats always do business.
One more thing. The Democrats always say the Republicans use scare tactics. In fact, Newman indicates in the email that this is all they do. It would seem to me that the statements made by Newman in this missive are nothing more than scare tactics themselves. Typical Liberal, do as I say, not as I do…

Taliban’s Bomb Plan Bombs, Thwarted by Little Boy

A little boy of about 6 reported to an Afghan Army checkpoint to inform them he needed help. He told them he had something on that he thought might be bad. Turned out he had a bomb vest on that the Taliban put on him. Juma Gul reports that Taliban fighters told him that the vest would spray flowers when he pushed a button and that he should wait until he sees American troops and then throw himself at them.
The boy recounted his story to Tribal Elders and American Soldiers as they sat there with tears in their eyes. The boy appears to have been a bit too savvy for the Taliban. He said that he felt the bomb in the vest and knew it was bad. He also said he was afraid being in the middle of all those bad guys. The Taliban claim the boy is lying and that this story is propaganda from the US. They also claim that it is against Islam to do such a thing. Of course, according to these animals it is also against Islam to kill innocent people but they routinely bomb innocent civilians and cut the heads off those they do not agree with. The Taliban also claims it does not use children in such a fashion but a video released earlier this year shows the Taliban instructing a 12 year old as he beheads someone. Nice guys.
I am happy that this kid did not get suckered into killing himself for a group of cowards who have no regard for human life. These cowards are losing and they have to come up with horrific ways to continue the fight. In a real society where real men live, women and children are protected (as in women and children first when leaving a sinking vessel). In the culture of the followers of the child molester prophet Mohammad, people are not worth anything and women and children are used as shields or as bombers. This is why the people who insist on violence in the name of Islam need to be killed. They are willing to die for their cause and we should assist them in that endeavour.
It was also good to read that the tribal leaders, who are Muslims, were upset at the actions of the Taliban. It was good to see that some of them are finally understanding the way decent people live in a society. Though I am sure they are still pretty harsh in how they live, it is good to see they have some concern about the life of children and that they realize the Taliban are the bad guys in this mess.
We can only hope that one day we will have killed all of the Muslims who live life as animals who follow the misguided ramblings of a deranged, child molesting, war monger and can then live in peace with the balance who just want to be left alone. From what I’ve seen, we have a long way to go.

Feinstein Believes Only Liberals Provide Correct Reporting

Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), war profiteer, was on Fox News Sunday discussing the fairness doctrine. In case you are unfamiliar, the Fairness Doctrine is a bit of legislation that required equal points of view in broadcast. So for every hour Rush Limbaugh discusses Conservative ideas the Liberals get time to present opposing views. Basically, this is legislation that forces Liberal views on people who do not want to hear them. It is only logical to conclude that if people who listened to talk radio wanted to listen to Liberal points of view, the market for Liberal talk radio would be big. Instead, Liberal talk radio performs miserably in nearly every market ala Err Amerika.
Feinstein said she was looking into reviving the Fairness Doctrine (which is really an unfair doctrine when you think about it) to provide balance. She said she believes in fairness (especially when she is doling out defense contracts to her husband) and that people should be allowed to hear varied points of view. I will agree that is the case but I think it is up to the people, not the government, to decide what they want to listen to. If they want equal time from Liberals then Liberals can start radio programs that give those points of view. The reality is, no one wants to listen to that stuff. It is also interesting to note that when Liberals are getting the advantage, Feinstein does not ask for fairness. Witness the major television news outlets who are overwhelmingly Liberal friendly. There has been no call for them to be “fair” and Conservatives started Fox News to counter the other networks which is how a market is supposed to work.
Anyway, Feinstein does not really believe in fairness as much as she believes that only liberals can report accurately. In the Interview she said; “I remember when there was a Fairness Doctrine. I think there was much more serious, correct reporting to people.” What she is saying is that the way it is now is not as serious and not correct, compared to what happened when Liberals were given equal time under the fairness Doctrine. In other words, only Liberals can report things to us seriously and correctly.
If that is the case, why is there not a market for Liberal talk? Perhaps is is because most of America, all through the Heartland, is not thrilled with Liberalism and people do not believe Liberals. One only needs to look at the Electoral map to see that the Northeast and the Left Coast are Liberal enclaves while the rest of America is Conservative.
Perhaps Dianne is just unhappy that talk radio discussed her war profiteering and there were no outlets for her to rationalize her illegal behavior. She just wants a Fairness Doctrine so she has a fair shot at lying about gaining millions of dollars in wealth because of her position and off the hard work of our military.
I have my own version of the Fairness Doctrine and it goes like this. For every Republican that goes to jail for corruption a corrupt Democrat has to go to jail as well. We can start by putting Feinstein in a cell next to Randy Cunningham.

Tough Times for Immigration Bill?

Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas will vote against resurrecting the immigration amnesty bill along with fellow Texan, John Cornyn. Perhaps the folks living in an area affected greatly by all the ILLEGALS sneaking in actually understand the problem. Hutchison has been under a great deal of pressure from the White house to jump on board the band wagon and help ruin the country. Looks like she has decided not to drink the Kool Aid. [Source]
Senator Mitch McConnell, the Senate Minority Leader who was pushing for the immigration amnesty bill, now appears to be wavering in his support and states he has not decided how to vote on the issue. Perhaps McConnell sees the writing on the wall and realizes that most people do not want this and will show their dissatisfaction at the polls in 2008. I believe that anyone who votes for this will be very vulnerable. [Source]
We have been working hard to get this thing off the table and give it the burial it deserves. The Senate and the President are working just as hard to shove this bad idea down our throats. We can not give up now! We need to send a clear message that we do not want this and that we will show our displeasure in November 2008.
I intend to wrap up the on line petition and send it electronically to as many members of the Senate as i can and i am going to mail it to the leaders and my state Senators. Thanks to those who signed and if you didn’t, what are you waiting for?

ILLEGAL Aliens Commit Additional Felonies

It isn’t bad enough that the ILLEGALS aliens entering this country break the law in getting here and continue to be law breakers throughout their stay, they are now committing arson in order to get in. According to the Washington Times, ILLEGALS are targeting border patrol agents by starting forest fires near outposts in order to smoke them out and gain entry:
U.S. Border Patrol agents seeking to secure the nation’s border in some of the country’s most pristine national forests are being targeted by illegal aliens, who are using intentionally set fires to burn agents out of observation posts and patrol routes.

While prosecutors look for way to put border patrol agents in jail for protecting our borders, ILLEGALS are starting fires that damage our forests, place people and property in danger, and hurt the environment by filling the air with smoke. Not to mention the wildlife displaced or killed by these dangerous acts. Where are the environmentalists?
Arson is a felony. Are we now allowed to arrest these cretins and place them in jail for a very long time? We keep hearing about how they only want to fit in and work to support their families but the reality is, they are dangerous and do not give a damn about who they hurt or what they damage. It is time to arrest those entering and/or committing other crimes and to shoot those who try to flee. I believe we should shoot anyone observed trying to start a fire. More Minutemen on the border is a good thing. We also need to get rid of idiot prosecutors who put border patrol agents in jail while letting criminals run things. Perhaps we should see if they are receiving pay from other sources?
I believe the only way to get a handle on this invasion, given the current environment in Congress, is to move the entire Congress to the border between Mexico and the US. Make them work there and they will be singing a different tune.
Is this how people who only want to make a better life really act? How involved in this is the Mexican government? We need real answers and we need to put an end to this invasion.
Gitmo needs grass cutters and landscapers as well as people to do the laundry. Let’s start by sending them there.
