Joe Wilson Was OK with Naming Wife

Robert Novak writes that he discussed his article with Joe Wilson before it was published and Wilson did not object to his wife being mentioned. Joe’s concerns were egotistical in that he did not want the article’s focus to be that he was simply an opponent of the war and he wanted Novak to know his wife used his last name.
The whole time that the Plame game was going on Wilson acted like the world had come to an end because his wife had been outed. He pinned all this on the Vice President and he said it was a concerted effort to get him for his opposition to the war (but don’t focus on that). It seems to me that if this half baked jackass was so concerned about his wife’s status he would have told Novak his concerns so that the information would not have been printed. Since Wilson failed to say anything and since he allowed his wife’s identity to be published we can conclude that she was not covert (as we have said all along) and that Joe Wilson knew she was not covert. If we go on the assumption that she was covert then he [Wilson] is the one responsible for outing her and he should get to be frog marched to court.
As for Fitzgerald, he knew the identity of the leak when he spoke with Novak a few days into the investigation. The fact that he continued for months on end shows he was engaged in a witch hunt and that he wasted a bunch of taxpayer dollars. If Fitzgerald had ended when he found the “leak” (what he was empowered to do) we could have saved a fortune and a lot of people would not have been inconvenienced, especially Scooter Libby. Fitzgerald was helping someone on the left and he did not care who got hurt in the process. There are those who praised the guy but I think he was grossly incompetent.
There was something fishy about Mr. Plame and his wife right from the start. The nepotism and the incompetence coupled with the partisan view taken by the third rate diplomat caused a lot of problems. One can only hope they send him on another assignment real soon.
But with a one way ticket.

Does John Edwards Wear a Skirt?

Elizabeth Edwards has made her views known regarding Rush Limbaugh only she took a different approach than attacking him for what he did not say about our soldiers. Instead, she attacked Limbaugh’s draft status, which was 1-Y (changed to 4-F when 1-Y was done away with) in order to indirectly say that Limbaugh should not call anyone a phony soldier when he had what Edwards views as a phony deferment. I will not discuss what Limbaugh said because everyone with a brain knows exactly what he said and what was meant by it. The Democrats are using this non issue to make something out of nothing. The old saying goes that if you tell a lie long enough it is accepted as true. That is why Global Warming is a “settled” issue.
Rush Limbaugh had a legitimate deferment from military service. Regardless of what people think about it or what he could have done to make himself eligible, he was legitimately deferred by the military for a legitimate medical problem. It is amazing to me that Edwards would take issue with Limbaugh’s words considering the phony soldier her husband teamed up with during the last Presidential election. Let us look at her husband, who has been less than honest about his draft status. From what I can tell he registered and had a draft number but according to one site he should have been drafted and was not. I have to wonder why that is and why Ms. Edwards would bring up something that could end up in a backlash. The last thing Edwards needs is a group of people discussing his military record…
What I really don’t understand is why Elizabeth Edwards keeps injecting herself into issues. She is not running for office and her constant babble is not helpful. John Edwards already has a reputation as a girly man and having his wife speak out, many times to defend him, does not help with that image. Edwards gives the impression that he is a pampered little wuss who cannot fight his own battles. While I realize that in the Limbaugh remarks Elizabeth was not taking up for John I also realize that real men do not send their wives out to take up for them. I can just imagine John Edwards getting into an argument that leads to fisticuffs and before the first punch is thrown he runs in to get Elizabeth to fight for him.
This is America and the Edwards are free to say what they want but before they attack Limbaugh for what he said and before they twist his words, they should be prepared to demonstrate how much they have done for the troops. How much money has John Edwards raised for the military? What veteran organizations or causes has he helped out? I am willing to bet that Limbaugh has raised more money for the military than Edwards has raised for his campaign.
After watching this iteration of the John Edwards ego stroking campaign, I am convinced that he wears skirts at home while Elizabeth wears the pants.

Congress Should Worry About Its Own Punctuality

A terrorism drill will be conducted as Congress has required since 2000 and this drill is raising questions about our preparedness especially since the after action report (AAR) from the 2005 drill has not been made public. The lawmakers are concerned because the AAR has not been released and yet we are going forward with the next exercise. How on Earth can we tell if we have improved? Perhaps Congress should think about the ramifications of making an AAR from this kind of exercise public.
Suppose that during the last exercise it was discovered that a major portion of our infrastructure was extremely vulnerable and that it was particularly vulnerable in one area. Now suppose that an event targeting this area would cost a huge number of lives and cause untold millions in damage. Is it really wise to make that information public before corrections can be made to mitigate the deficiency? Having participated in a number of exercises I can state that there is always something wrong and it is not just one something. It is usually a number of things and they all need to be addressed. A drill of that size had to bring out a number of vulnerabilities, none of which should be made public. If we make them public we are basically telling our enemies where they should attack us and how they should go about doing it.
I would think that all the geniuses in Congress would have a grasp of this. They all tout their national security “creds” and yet in this one basic area of operational security (OPSEC) they are unable to see how dangerous releasing the information could be. Either they are dense or they know the ramifications and are trying to score political points. If this is the case they are unworthy of office and should be jailed. Actually, they are unworthy regardless.
Imagine another exercise where the Capitol was breached and the members inside were all killed as part of the extent of play. Imagine that this exercise showed a glaring security problem at the Capitol and one that will take time to correct. How willing do you think members of Congress would be to release that information to the world? That would be the tightest kept secret in America. The New York Times could not pry that one out. Congress would be silent because the consequences of their actions would directly affect them and maybe in a very dangerous fashion. The rest of the citizens in America deserve the same consideration. When it is time, the AAR will be released. Those who have a need to know are aware of its contents. Why don’t we let them do their jobs and Congress can get back to its job.
If Congress is truly worried about timeliness perhaps they should be working harder to pass the budget that is now overdue (as it has been every year for who knows how long). We run on continuing resolutions every year because they can never get the thing done on time so perhaps it is time to reevaluate all the time they take off. It is hard to get anything done when one is never at work. Maybe if they spent less time playing games with radio hosts and worrying about who broke wind down the hall, they could accomplish something.
There is an AAR on the job Congress does and it is called the election. Let us use that time to vote them all out of office and replace them with people who know what they are doing.

The Left Will Hate This News, Fewer Soldiers Killed

The left in America will not be happy about the news out of Iraq where it was reported that the number of US deaths in the month of September was the lowest in 14 months and marked the fourth month of decrease. Seems to me that this coincides with the time line of the surge:
US military losses in Iraq for September stood at 70 on Sunday, the lowest monthly figure since July last year, according to an AFP tally based on Pentagon figures.
The figure also marks the fourth consecutive drop in the monthly death toll following a high of 121 in May. June saw 93 deaths, July 82 and August 79. The monthly toll in July 2006 was 53.
Two US soldiers were killed on Saturday in separate incidents, pushing the overall toll of American losses since the March 2003 invasion to 3,801. Breitbart
The anti war left is hell bent on using the names and faces of our war dead to force a surrender. They love to count the number of dead and use that information as a reason to stop and surrender immediately. Since they insist on using the number of dead as a benchmark to bring them home, will they now say it is OK to stay?
We are winning the war and the surge is working. Anything good for America is bad for the Democrats and the rest of the liberals. I wonder how this will change what the Democratic candidates have to say?
This also cannot be good news for those in Congress who want to surrender. Now they have to think of another reason…

No Muslim Should Ever Be President

I Finally Agree with McCain — Almost.
John McCain was interviewed by the website Beliefnet and in that interview he said that America was founded on Christian principles and that he did not want to see a Muslim in the White House and that Christians should be elected to office, though he said a Mormon would be OK. I believe that those country was founded on Christian principles but I think people some other faiths would make good Presidents. Jews could certainly hold that office without a problem and a Mormon would not bother me. I do agree that a Muslim should never hold that office and neither should a Satanic Worshiper (or Satan aka Hillary).
Some of the Muslims apologists, namely CAIR, complained about McCain’s statement and he had to clarify it by saying that a Muslim would be OK if it was the right person. This is the kind of back peddling that politicians do that infuriate me. State you belief and be done with it. Changing positions makes you look like a Clinton (who have no beliefs except the belief that they belong in power).
Now, I am not suggesting that any Christian would be a good candidate because McCain would not. He abandoned our POWs in Vietnam, he backs amnesty for the ILLEGALS and he called me and people like me racists for not agreeing with the amnesty bill. He is not fit to run this country and neither is Kennedy, Pelosi, or Murtha, all whom I believe profess to be Christians or members of a Christian religion.
Let me make this clear so that idiots like Ibrahim Hooper and the rest of the terrorists at CAIR and other Muslim apology groups can understand it. Do not demand that I clarify my statements because they are clear and to the point.
No Muslim should ever be the president of the United States. Muslims are intolerant and are forcing their way of life into our country with no regard for the beliefs and feeling of others. Muslims complain when we eat at our desks, when we serve pork products in school or work cafeterias, they complain because they do not have a place to wash their feet, they complain about Christmas and Halloween not being inclusive and concern about their feelings is causing at least one school system to stop acknowledging those days but there is no mention of ignoring Ramadan. Let that happen and we are a bunch of bigots. I would also note that Muslims are not tolerant of Jews and one idiot Muslim wants to eliminate them from the Earth.
Muslims have primitive beliefs imposed by a child molester named Mohammad who waged war on neighbors and killed those who would not submit and convert to the religion of maniac killers known as Islam. Mohammad is a false prophet who pretended to speak with Allah in order to do what he wanted without punishment. Allah’s will and all that. The truth is, Mohammad was a degenerate who killed for fun and had sex with a nine year old girl. He has spawned a religion of people who beat women to death for failing to cover up or for being the victims of rape. Islam is a religion of bigots who murder homosexuals and oppress women. They strap bombs to their kids and have them kill themselves in the name of Allah or Mohammad (pig be under him). They have also expressed a desire to replace our Constitution with Sharia Law (a law of morons).
Let me restate in case Hooper or any other idiot did not get it.
NO MUSLIM SHOULD EVER BE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.
We will never allow our people to come under the rule of Muslims or Sharia Law. There are a few dhimmis in this country but the real patriots will not let the Muslims take over. They are one of the enemies within.
The other enemy is the Democratic Party.
