If I Voted For McCain…
Mar 19, 2011 Political
…I was told I would be getting a third term of George W. Bush.
I voted for Sarah Palin, same result though as Barack Obama has now used military force in Libya to help topple a dictator who is slaughtering his people. That is what George Bush did in Iraq and the left was vehemently opposed. We were told that it was a quagmire and that we were nation building, all things the left opposes. Barack Obama was not in the Senate at the time as he was busy voting present in Illinois but he did assure us he would have voted against military action in Iraq.
I guess the people of Iraq who were being murdered by a brutal dictator do not carry the same weight as those in Libya. Oh I know, Bush talked about weapons of mass destruction but that was only about three of the twenty or so items in the authorization for force but why let the others get in the way of lefties screaming and hollering over military action.
Despite what Obama claimed and how superior he was supposed to be, it looks like he is a lot like George Bush in certain areas and this is not sitting well with his base. Drudge has this on his front page:
MARCH 19, 2011
OBAMA: ‘Today we are part of a broad coalition. We are answering the calls of a threatened people. And we are acting in the interests of the United States and the world’…MARCH 19, 2003
BUSH: ‘American and coalition forces are in the early stages of military operations to disarm Iraq, to free its people and to defend the world from grave danger’…
Let us see how the left handles Mr. Obama and his blatant aggression against another nation. I mean, who is he to tell the leader of another country what to do? Isn’t that what he and everyone like him screamed about with regard to Bush?
I doubt that we will send troops into Libya but we have launched missiles into that country and that is an act of aggression.
So where is Code Pink? Where are the left wing loonies and their cries over this aggression?
My guess is they are oblivious to it because their messiah Obama is the one doing it. They did not mind when Clinton launched missiles and they do not mind Obama doing it.
The D after their names allows them to do such things.
Cave Canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

And So It Begins
Oct 15, 2009 Political
As I have said before, our Idiot in Chief has no clue as to what is going on in the real world- he plays in his little marxist sandbox, because here in the US, you can play make- believe with few real consequences. Truthfully, the real world, the one outside of Hussein’s narcissistic head, has real consequences for real actions, and Hussein (and the rest of us, unfortunately) are about to be spanked good by the Soviets Russia.
Nikolai Patrushev, the head of Russia’s Security Council, said in an interview with the Izvestia newspaper that Russia would consider an opportunity of using nuclear arms depending on circumstances and intentions of a potential enemy.
“In situations critical for national security, a preventive nuclear strike against the aggressor is not ruled out,” he said.
The section of Russia’s military doctrine about the opportunity to use nuclear weapons was formulated to preserve the status of a nuclear power for the Russian Federation. The document states that Russia can apply nuclear deterrence against potential enemies to prevent aggression against Russia and its allies.
dailykos.com
A “preemptive” strike capability– all the Soviets Russia has to do is believe you might be “aggressive”, and away go the missiles. It really looks now like Hussein’s decision to take the missile shield out of Poland and the Czech Republic was the boneheaded move I said it was all along.
I’ll bet the Poles and Czechs are feeling a little naked- and not at all sure that we have their back. I am pretty sure they miss George Bush.
Funny but I don’t remember the Bush/Cheney Evil Twins threatening to preemptively nuke someone. Yet they were the dangers to the world and the Russians are the ones we need to reengage with in a kinder and gentler way.
So, we throw eastern Europe under the bus by scrapping missile defense and we get no help on Iran. We practically beg for a new nuclear arms reduction treaty and we get this kind of rhetoric out of the Soviets, er, Russians (sorry, don’t know how I could have made that mistake).
It’s almost as if the weaker we appear, the more belligerent the Soviets, damn, the Russians become.
This won’t get much play in the US because no one really thinks the Russians are going to nuke anyone, especially us, but you can be the Poles, Ukrainians and Georgians are taking this very seriously.
Once again, it’s getting to be down right dangerous to be a friend of the US.

Well, it sure is dangerous to be a “friend” of Hussein’s- he will stab you in the back in a heartbeat, and his mantra is along the lines of “What have you done for me lately”- a position that doesn’t exactly engender loyalty. He treats his “friends” and “allies” like Dixie cups, to be tossed aside after being used.
Nikolai Patrushev, the secretary of the Kremlin’s security council, said the new doctrine offers “different options to allow the use of nuclear weapons, depending on a certain situation and intentions of a would-be enemy. In critical national security situations, one should also not exclude a preventive nuclear strike against the aggressor.”
What’s more, Patrushev said, Russia is revising the rules for the employment of nukes to repel conventionally armed attackers, “not only in large-scale, but also in a regional and even a local war.”
Gulp. If I were in Georgia — or in any other country Russia considers part of its sphere of influence — that formulation would make me pretty anxious.
The Russian Federation is considering the “first strike” option as part of a larger overhaul of military doctrine. The new doctrine, which is supposed to be presented to President Dmitry Medvedev later this year, is supposed to provide “flexible and timely” responses to national security threats.
wired.com
Yeah- did you catch the change in language here? The Soviets Russians will consider using nukes on countries who use only conventional weapons. For all those still confused out there, that would be countries like Estonia, Ukraine, Poland, Latvia, The Czech Republic- all the countries that had been conquered before by Russia, and Russia feels still belong to them.
This is chilling, not only because it represents a step backwards in time, but we are crippled by a leader who is so narcissistic that he probably still, despite all evidence, believes that his golden throat can still pull our chestnuts out of the fire.
Sorry Charlie- Ivan don’t play dat game. The Soviets Russians play for keeps- something Reagan knew back then, and we have forgotten since. Do you think it was just a Chamber of Commerce moment, the Soviets Russians buddying up to Hugo Chavez? Or do you think perhaps they want another “Cuban Missile” moment, with Venezuela as the staging area? That is what I am thinking, and the CIA is probably thinking the same thing (in between talking to lawyers about our AG Holder’s “investigation” into how we didn’t offer some terrorists any Perrier or hot stone massages).
Anyone, either in or out of government who believes that the Soviets Russians are all about peace, knows nothing about the history of Russia, going back to the 1700s- even during the reign of the Tsars (No, ours are spelled differently), the Soviets Russians had world domination on their minds and in their hearts. They had a plan in the 1800s to “push” Siberian peoples out across the Bering Strait, to populate Alaska, and strengthen their hold on it.
The only reason they sold us Alaska, was that they did not believe we could hold onto it, and they might have been right if it wasn’t for the discovery of Gold in the Yukon Territory. In the 1700- 1800s period, there were more Russian trading posts down the West Coast of the US, than any other nationality- San Francisco began that way.
So you can see, this is a pattern that will not go away, and if Hussein had studied history in his University dorm, instead of doing cocaine and pot, he might have had a realistic background in foreign policy, or at least a realistic place to begin.
Now we are crippled with an intelligently challenged Resident, at a time of great danger.
Oh boy- don’t you just love the smell of fissile material in the morning?

Defense Cuts Will Lead To Disaster
Apr 1, 2009 Political
A Senate Democrat is warning of painful cuts in the Defense budget which should come as no surprise because Democrats love to cut Defense in order to funnel more money to social programs. We are fighting a war on two fronts (even if Democrats call it something else) and we are being threatened by scoundrels from around the world so now is definitely NOT the time to cut the Defense budget but cut they will.
This comes at a time when news reports indicate that China has developed a missile that is capable of destroying US Aircraft Carriers. The Chinese have not wasted time ramping up their military capabilities and they are certainly more of a threat now than they were in the past.
Now is not the time to cut Defense. There are wolves at the door and the guardians of freedom come from the people who depend on the Defense budget. In all reality, who else will defend us from the threats we face?
If you expect it to be Obama and his minions you are out of your mind.
It also won’t be those who benefit from increased spending on social programs. Unless, of course, we could make them serve in the military. That would allow them to earn money and actually give something back to this country.

Obama Failure Leads To Iranian Missile Launch
Mar 8, 2009 Political
Iranian media are reporting that Iran has test fired an air to surface missile that is designed to be shot from aircraft at naval vessels. I guess Iran believes that it would have aircraft left to shoot anything if it provokes confrontation with the US.
The test fire of the missile coupled with Obama’s capitulation to Russia regarding an anti missile defense system in Poland (for the purpose of defending against Iran) means that the Obama administration has failed in its diplomatic endeavor. While Obama was busy trying to build a Socialist US and giving cutesy buttons to Russia (are we not trying to keep them from PUSHING a button) he took his eyes off Iran and now that country is flexing its muscle, all with the backing of Russia.
I know that those on the left will not see it this way and somehow they will find a way to blame this on George Bush but that is not how they looked at the North Korean nuclear tests. The left said that the tests were a result of failed diplomacy on the part of the then president.
If that is the case then one can only conclude that missile tests by Iran and rebukes by Russia are a failure of Obama’s attempts at diplomacy.
The North Korean nuclear tests are discussed at The Friends Committee on National Legislation, The Talking Points Memo, and The Democratic Underground.
Remember, it was John Kerry who said that Bush had ignored the nuclear nightmare happening in North Korea but said the US should offer nuclear fuel to Iran in exchange for it abandoning its fissile material production complex.
So, Clinton gave the North Koreans the heavy water reactor, Kerry wanted to give Iran nuclear fuel, North Korea used the equipment to develop a nuke and test it, the Iranians enrich their own fuel and are now testing missiles that could be used to deliver nukes and to shoot at naval vessels and I am willing to bet that somehow this will all be Bush’s fault.
How long will it take these organizations, the Drive By Media and Obama supporters like Kerry to conclude that Obama has failed in his diplomatic efforts?
Don’t hold your breath…

Would This Be A Preemptive Strike?
Feb 26, 2009 Political
The left went nuts over our attack on Iraq claiming that we should not engage in preemptive strikes. They went along with it all until public sentiment started to change and then they all claimed they were tricked into voting for the war by a guy they all think is stupid. Iraq was not the first time we attacked a country that did not attack us. Japan attacked us in 1941 and we went to war with them and Germany. Germany did not attack us.
In any event, the left was dead set against the idea, at least when it was politically helpful to do so. But now they are in control and occupy the seat at the top. Things might be a little different now. The Navy is prepared to shoot down any missile that North Korea launches if Obama gives the go ahead.
The North Koreans claim they are going to send a satellite into space and the Navy says that if it is a satellite it will be left alone but if the missile is determined not to be one they will shoot it down if Obama gives the order.
This puts Obama in a tough spot. He and his ilk opposed the Bush Doctrine of preemptive strikes so if Obama decides to shoot down a missile he will basically be doing the same thing. In reality, unless that missile is heading for us or our interests we need to leave it alone. If we shoot it down then we are taking a preemptive posture.
Now I am not opposed to preemption and I think there would be no problem shooting down any missile launched just to assert our power and make the NOKs think before doing something stupid. If Obama and the Democrats had not opposed preemption I would not care what they do but since they did oppose it, they need to be held accountable for any act of preemption.
You can bet that if he shoots it down all the libtards who chastised Bush will be rationalizing The Evil Won’s actions. It will also show the value of missile defense, a program the Democrats want to scale down or eliminate.
It would not surprise me if Obama gives the order to shoot it down. Preemption was something Bush believed in.
And so far, Obama has kept a lot of Bush’s policies and practices in place.
