Your Patriotic Duty?

The Chief Medical Editor for NBC says she made (read forced) her children to sign up for Obamacare because it is their patriotic duty. This is an interesting twist on a law that mandates people purchase a product and violates their Constitutional rights. I should not be surprised because liberals will scream about patriotism when they want to force something on people or need to shame people into following along.
There are a lot of people who do not like Obamacare and have voiced their opposition. Hillary Clinton once told us that dissent is patriotic (warning screeching voice) so now we have two opposites. How can it be patriotic to sign up and patriotic to disagree?
Patriotism is cultural attachment to one’s homeland and devotion to one’s country. Signing up for healthcare is not patriotic. Being forced to do so is definitely not patriotic.
One form of patriotism involves serving in the armed forces of one’s home nation. We have an all volunteer military but men are required to sign up in case a draft is ever needed. We have had drafts in the past (most recently during the Vietnam War) and there were a huge number of people opposed to it. People burned their draft cards and dodged the draft and were hailed as heroes by liberals like this Chief Medical Editor.

If signing up for an unpopular (and unconstitutional despite the SCOTUS) law is patriotic then signing up for and being part of the draft (were one to be instituted) must also be patriotic.
So, if the country held a draft right now do you think this Medical Editor would make sure her kids signed up or do you think she would encourage them not to?
Hell, it is patriotic to enlist in the military and that is not a popular choice (based on the small number of people who do so) so if Dr. Nancy Snyderman of NBC really wants her children to do something patriotic she should MAKE them join the military.
I won’t hold my breath.
I will also set her straight. It is patriotic to NOT sign up for Obamacare and to oppose this overreach of government. The first patriots of this nation opposed an overreaching and oppressive government and we got a great nation.
Unfortunately, idiots like Snyderman, Obama, liberals and RINOs are destroying this nation.
But hey, because of their actions they will see lots of patriotism…
One last note. If Obamacare is so great why would she need to MAKE her children sign up?

Live From NBC Its…Irony

Remember when Saturday Night Live used to be relevant? Remember when the “Not ready for prime time players” took shots at anyone regardless of who they were or their political affiliation? Remember when they took issue with Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, and GW. Bush?
SNL used to be funny and it used to parody all regardless of who they were. Make no mistake, it has always been filled with left wing liberal types (with a few exceptions) who worship at the altar of liberal orthodoxy but at least they had fun at the expense of everyone regardless of political affiliation.
Those days seem to be well behind us as NBC bows down to the messiah Obama.
This past weekend SNL scrapped a skit that poked fun at Obama for his politicizing the one year anniversary of the death of Bin Laden. The skit parodied Obama as taking credit for the kill (in reality he did little and certainly not as much as he takes credit for) and elaborated the recent trip Obama took to Afghanistan to use our troops as a photo op while marking the anniversary.
But NBC decided to scrap the skit and instead use a skit that mocked FOX News. Yes, SNL had a skit that mocked the show “Fox and Friends” personalities as clueless partisans.
Isn’t it ironic that SNL would air a skit mocking a FOX show as containing clueless partisans in order to replace a skit that mocked Obama?
In other words, by replacing the skit on Obama SNL and NBC demonstrated that it is the show with clueless partisans.
I wonder if they were even bright enough to note the irony…

Brokaw Did It To Obama As Well

NBC and Tom Brokaw have expressed displeasure with Mitt Romney for using footage from the 1990s, featuring Brokaw, in ads attacking Newt Gingrich. I read comments posted and people say NBC is imposing on the right to free speech. People are upset that Brokaw and NBC would request Romney to cease and desist.
The most important thing about this is that it is not a free speech issue.
However, Barack Obama used Brokaw in an ad when he was running in 2008 and NBC sent him a cease and desist order as well. In this particular case Brokaw is acting no differently toward the Republican than he did the Democrat. It is easy to see how folks would not see this since the MSM is overwhelmingly liberal and has protected Democrats (particularly Obama) from day one.
What should bother people is Brokaw’s stated reason for not wanting Romney using the clip:
I am extremely uncomfortable with the extended use of my personal image in this political ad. I do no want my role as a journalist compromised for political gain by any campaign. Politico
Who in their right mind thinks of Brokaw as a journalist? That would require objective reporting and proper vetting of political candidates. It would require an allegiance to the public and upholding the tradition of the media being a watchdog for the people of this country.
Brokaw is another member of the media wing of the Democrat party and he has failed to act as a journalist.
A commentator, sure, but in no way a journalist…

These Are My People; Americans

The talk about the TEA Party movement is that it is filled with racists, those opposed to Barack Obama’s agenda because he is a black man. The thought never crosses the minds of the MSM that perhaps the people are opposed to his policies and his agenda.
During TEA Party gatherings the MSM looks long and hard for the one person who says something wrong or has an inappropriate sign. Those folks might belong to the gathering or not but are always used to broad brush the entire movement as racist haters. Blacks who attend the TEA Parties are looked at as sell outs or misguided people and they are asked about feeling out of place.
One such interview took place yesterday by an NBC reporter who asked a black man if he felt uncomfortable. His answer is priceless and is an example of the TEA Party members.
The answer was; “No, no, these are my people, Americans.”
And that is the rest of the story.

Ann Coulter Banned From NBC

Ann Coulter is a feisty conservative who believes in no holds barred politics and she is spot on in her analysis nearly every time she speaks. She understands the liberal mind and she knows what makes it tick as well as how to pluck its last string. She has more testicular fortitude than some of the so called men in the Republican party and she is fearless. I admire her intelligence and her talent to tweak the left. The fact that she is nice looking is a plus as well.
Coulter was supposed to go on the NBC Today show tomorrow to discuss her new book; Guilty: Liberal “Victims” and Their Assault on America. She was unceremoniously dropped from the show with the cowardly claim that it was overbooked (though they booked her months ago). The overbooked show then went out and got Perez Hilton who will appear and hawk his new book. Hilton is openly homosexual and true to his pansy ways, he once offered $1000 to anyone who would throw a pie at Ann Coulter (according to Drudge). A real man would have thrown the pie himself but I guess it is hard to keep from dropping the pie when one has a limp wrist.
Insiders at NBC say that Coulter has been banned from the network permanently because:
“We are just not interested in anyone so highly critical of President-elect Obama, right now,” a TODAY insider reveals. “It’s such a downer. It’s just not the time, and it’s not what our audience wants, either.”
They are not interested in someone critical of Obama? This makes sense since none of the MSM has been critical of him since he walked across a pond to become the messiah. God forbid anyone should be critical of Obama.
This is, of course, the same network that had no problem in bringing people on who were critical of George Bush. For the past eight years NBC has had one Bush basher after another on to be “highly critical” of him. This is the network that employs tingly leg Chris Matthews who I don’t believe has ever had a kind word about President Bush and Keith Olberman who is nothing more than a rabid idiot who spews vile from his mouth every time he opens it. He has insulted President Bush every time he has been on the air and he makes no bones about his hatred for the president. So NBC has no moral high ground when it comes to talking critical of a president (or in this case the president elect).
Now NBC did say that it is not what its audience wants. I imagine that is correct. The people who watch NBC are a bunch of losers who sit around all day eating bon bons. The only exercise they get is walking to the mailbox to see if their welfare check has arrived. The people who watch Matthews or Olberman are mental midgets who could not empty a bucket if the directions were written on the bottom. These are the kind of people who are so slow it would take them an hour and a half to watch 60 minutes. Anyone who gives Olberman any credibility is not mentally capable of being out in public alone. He is a moonbat on acid and should be thrown in a room with Perez Hilton on a Viagra overdose.
Ann Coulter has six New York Times best sellers. If NBC wants to exclude her from appearing it will not affect sales. In fact, the publicity will probably help them.
However, NBC has demonstrated why most people (except the morons who drool while watching NBC) do not trust the MSM.
I don’t watch much, if anything on NBC. I will continue to avoid that network. If we are fortunate it will go bankrupt and disappear. Just say no to NBC.
I will, however, be buying Coulter’s new book.
