Will The Jews Riot And Burn Down Buildings?

Most people remember that the Religion of Peace rioted and burned down buildings because cartoons of Mohammad were published in newspapers. There were riots and calls for death, jihad and mayhem, you know, the usual stuff one normally associates with a religion of peace. Well, now a cartoon has been published that compares Prime Minster Ehud Olmert to a Nazi. The cartoon depicts him as the commander of a Nazi death camp. The caricature shows Olmert with a rifle atop a tower so that he can shoot and kill Jews.

I somehow doubt we will have Jews rioting in the streets, burning down buildings and threatening jihad (or whatever is equal in Israel) because the Jews only engage in violence when they are attacked as demonstrated by their response to the terrorist group Hezbollah.

Misbehave And Call It Racism

We all saw it with Cynthia “Cop Socker” McKinney. She misbehaved (and broke the law) when she struck a police officer. She claimed racism and the DC Grand Jury eventually declined to indict her. Members of Congress like us to believe they expect no special treatment but their response to the search of William Jefferson’s office coupled with the non-indictment of Cop Socker shows that the laws that govern the rest of us do not apply to the people who work for us.

Members of Hollywood are of the same mind. Actress Mo’Nique was on a United flight to New York when she got into a disagreement with a flight attendant. Evidently, one of Mo’Nique’s people who was flying in coach put a hair dryer she was carrying for the actress in the First Class overhead bin. Mo’Nique was in First Class at the time but the flight attendant questioned the act and did not believe the hair dryer belonged to the actress. It really does not matter. I fly a lot and I always hear “Federal law requires you to follow the instruction of the flight crew.” If the lady was told to take the hair dryer out, she should have.

Instead, Mo’Nique got into an argument with the flight attendant and the flight was delayed. Mo’Nique was escorted out of the aircraft and the police were called. She was delayed because of it and eventually caught a later flight. Mo’Nique is calling this a racist act and is urging all black people to boycott United. She even said that black people are treated like this all the time. Last year I flew nearly 70,000 miles and I never once saw a black person treated this way. One would think that if it happened all the time I would have seen it at least once. Combined mileage of my co-workers in more than half a million a year and none of them have witnessed black people being treated like this all the time.

It is the same old song and dance. A black person does something that causes a problem and the immediate response is to scream racism. Maybe Mo’Nique was upset that The View chose a fat white chick to replace Starr Jones instead of the fat black chick. In any event, she caused the problem and if it had been any non-famous person they might have been arrested and placed in jail.

It might seem like a little thing but no matter, she caused a disturbance on an airplane and she was called out for it. Cop Socker and Mo’Nique will probably write a book about racism in America. Here is an idea. Maybe United can get the last laugh. Mo’Nique calls for the boycott and says she will fly another airline from now on. United, in turn, places her name on the Federal No-Fly list. Now that will be funny.

Careful What You Ask For

During the debate on gay marriage I heard someone say that homosexuals should be allowed to marry so they can be as miserable as the heterosexual couples. The two women who sued to marry in Massachusetts, a lawsuit that sparked the debate, have decided that they don’t really like being married to each other and have split up. They obviously suffered the misery that the pundit described in his observation.

I imagine it was a terribly hard thing to do, I mean having two wives in the family. It is bad enough being henpecked by one wife but two of them henpecking each other must have been the definition of hell on Earth. They probably would have been much happier without all the attention that was garnered on them. Perhaps they should have just been happy living together. At least then they would not have to worry about a messy divorce.

And speaking of divorce, this should be a doozy. Usually a husband gets screwed in a divorce and the wife gets the goods (though that has been becoming more equal as time goes on) or as Jerry Reed put it, “She got the gold mine and I got the shaft. They split everything right down the middle and gave her the better half.” Imagine the poor lawyer who would have to deal with this mess. How would you determine what wife gets the woman’s portion of the property. This is the hell lawyers have to pay for fighting to allow this kind of behavior.

How Smart Is Lou Dobbs?

Lou Dobbs has a piece where he asks how smart we are here in America because of our policies in the Middle East. From the piece, I gather that Dobbs does not think it was wise to establish the Israeli state in 1948. One of the things that Dobbs bases his question on is the amount of money America spends in aid to Israel compared to places like Lebanon.

While the United States provides about $2.5 billion in military and economic aid to Israel each year, U.S. aid to Lebanon amounts to no more than $40 million. This despite the fact that the per capita GDP of Israel is among the highest in the world at $24,600, nearly four times as high as Lebanon’s GDP per capita of $6,200.

While it is true that Lebanon is a fledging democracy and we are supportive of its efforts to become a thriving nation, one needs to remember that very few countries in the Middle East have been our allies. Israel has maintained a steadfast alliance with us even through the Clinton years where he courted terrorists as if they were legitimate leaders.

I agree with Dobbs in one area and that is the area of questioning our intelligence. How smart can we be to continually provide any support to nations that turn on us and have half-hearted allegiance? We continually send taxpayer money all around the world (not just the Middle East) and what do we get for our money, nothing but heartaches from the people we help. This is particularly true in the Middle East where the Arab world will stick us in the back any time it gets the chance. Israel has not stabbed us in the back and there is no other country in the region that can make that claim.

Dobbs seems to think that America is the world’s great welfare provider and that we should be giving our money away at will. This does not wash with me at home so you know it is never going to wash with me outside our borders. Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran and God knows how many other countries sponsor and support terrorism that is directed against the US and its assets around the world. Some of these countries openly talk about fighting terrorism but their lack of action shows support for the animals who commit the terrible crimes in the name of Allah.

There are many wealthy countries in the Middle East. I know a lot of people live in poverty but that is not my problem. They live in poverty because their wealthy leaders take all the money and build gold palaces while people starve. If the problem is the be addressed then it should be done so from within. Here is an idea for Dobbs, how about you ask Saudi Arabia to give billions of dollars to Lebanon and the other less fortunate countries. Have Iran give away some of its wealth. These countries are oil rich and make billions of dollars off our oil use. Tell them to spend that money on their neighbors because those neighbors will ultimately side with them in any conflict.

I am aware that a few of the Arab nations have not gotten involved in the current conflict between Israel and its two neighbors. That does not mean they do not want the “Zionist” regime to be toppled. They would be very happy if Hezbollah and Hamas were able to crush Israel and they would all be marching in the streets shooting off rifles if Israel were to be defeated. That will not happen and most of the Arab world knows this because none of them are a match for Israel. They also know that if they get involved with Israel they would suffer at our hands. No one in that area welcomes the idea of US warplanes flying overhead. That is why the cowards in Iran and Syria are denying any involvement in the current conflict even though their fingerprints are all over the place. It does not take a crack team from CSI to see that they are both heavily involved. These two miscalculated and are now trying to put some distance between them and their underhanded work.

Dobbs should look at this from a realistic view instead of the view that American money is disproportionately spent. If we gave more money to terrorist sponsoring countries that would just give them more money to spend fighting against us. So, how smart is Lou Dobbs?

John Kerry’s Big Dig Road Kill

Part of the roof of the Big Dig, a huge tunnel in Boston, fell and crushed a woman in a car to death. The Big Dig is more like a black hole for money because millions of taxpayer dollars have been spent on this project. John Kerry was instrumental in securing money for the bloated project as well as protecting it.

  • This morning, the Associated Press is reporting that Kerry worked to protect a $150 million loophole for a major insurance company working on The Big Dig – a $15 billion dollar construction boondoggle in Boston – which has been rife with corruption and political scandal, coming in 500 percent over budget. (News Center)
  • WASHINGTON — A Senate colleague was trying to close a loophole that allowed a major insurer to divert millions of federal dollars from the Big Dig. Senator John F. Kerry stepped in and blocked the legislation.

Over the next two years, the insurer, American International Group, paid Kerry’s way on a trip to Vermont and donated at least $30,000 to a tax-exempt group Kerry used to set up his presidential campaign. Company executives donated $18,000 to his Senate and presidential campaigns. (insomnomaniac)

  • In 1987, teemed up with Teddy to get an override of presidential veto of Boston’s Big Dig Boondoggle — one of the most larded distributions of taxpayer largess in U.S. history. (Prosecute Kerry)
  • John Kerry said Thursday his intervention on a legislative matter that affected the nation’s most expensive highway project had nothing to do with an insurer who benefited from his action and later gave him tens of thousands of dollars in donations. (USA Today)

If it is fair to blame George Bush for the deaths of soldiers then it is surely fair to blame Kerry for the death of this woman who had just gotten married. John Kerry was involved in shady business with regard to this huge boondoggle that was rife with corruption and where there is corruption in construction there is shoddy work. Did that shoddy work lead to the crushing death of Milena Delvalle? Will the Drive By Media demand a complete investigation into this and John Kerry’s involvement? Did John Kerry sacrifice this woman’s (and everyone’s) safety for political gain?

Only time will tell if these questions will be appropriately answered but one thing is certain, a woman is dead and the Big Dig that John Kerry, and Ted Kennedy for that matter, supported is responsible for her death.
