Obamacare Becomes A Liability, Again

We already know that a number of Democrats lost their seats in the last election because of their support for Obamacare. This has been well documented and accounts for over a dozen seats that were lost. But Democrats like to say that was not an issue and that it is a wonderful thing even though we had to pass it to see what was in it.
One thing Obama did in his Socialist takeover of health care was to cut Medicare funds (and double count them) and there was a lot of bluster about Medicare Advantage. The DHHS rated many of the plans as “average” and a number of seniors would likely be forced into regular Medicare. A lot of them were not very happy about that and the support among seniors is the lowest with regard to Obamacare.
We are approaching an election season and Democrats are again worried that Obamacare will cause them problems so now Obama wants to give some Medicare Advantage plans bonus points to make them above average and infuse about $6 billion into the system. The regime claims this is to ease a problem and that politics is not involved but the reality is that they are trying to delay some of the more painful parts of Obamacare until after the next election.
They are trying to use taxpayer money for political purposes to the tune of $6 BILLION dollars. We are in a crisis and they are still piddling around spending billions of dollars.
AARP endorsed Obamacare and a lot of seniors left that organization because of it. The plan was rammed through and there was little regard for how it would affect people because the elitist pigs in DC know better how to run our lives than we do. Remember, this was supposed to be a great, pie in the sky plan that everyone would love once they understood what was in it and how great it would be. Now that the uncomfortable parts might hurt Democrats they want to change things.
Screw that. They need to keep it the way it is. People need to feel lots and lots of pain for supporting this and they need to know how bad it is so that they will stop supporting the Democrats who are bound and determined to hurt them.
There are two options, keep it like it was passed or repeal it all together. No Republican should support any change unless that change is repeal. They said it was wonderful and now it is showing to be anything but so we need to hang it around their necks.
Do not allow these weasels to change anything and avoid the wrath of the public. Make them stand on their votes and on their forceful imposition of an unconstitutional law on the American public.
Make them fall on their swords and die for supporting it.
Period.
Repeal is the only option. In fact, repeal should be a part of any plan to raise the debt ceiling and that plan should include a provision that any signing statement makes the entire thing null and void. Obama has already lied about his use of signing statements and he will do so again.
Hang him and his Democrats with their Socialist law.

Pelosi; Elections Should Only Matter When Democrats Win

Nancy Pelosi is a dyed in the wool liberal who is very rich and believes it is her duty to take the money from others and give it to those who are less well off. It is in her blood as it is in the blood of all liberals. They never met a tax they didn’t hike.
When her party won control of Congress and she was made Speaker of the House we were told that the American people had spoken and that this was a rejection of the Bush policies and mismanagement by Republicans. She and her Democrats had a mandate because elections matter.
Obama won in 2008 and one of his first retorts was that things are being done his way because he won. He made that clear to John McCain as well at a meeting when he told McCain, the election is over. Obama believed he had a mandate and that the election mattered.
Now that the Democrats took a historic beating Pelosi has a different tune. She told an audience that elections should not matter as much as they do.
…Because there are so many things at risk right now — perhaps in another question I’ll go into them, if you want. But the fact is that elections shouldn’t matter as much as they do…But when it comes to a place where there doesn’t seem to be shared values then that can be problematic for the country, as I think you can see right now. Sorry to say that elections do matter as many liberals reminded us on a daily basis as we complained more and more about the Socialist agenda of Obama and the Democrats. They matter and he won, we were told.
So why the change of heart? It is because Pelosi and her cohorts see our Constitution and form of government as an impediment to what they want to do to our country. These roadblocks prevent them from doing things that most folks do not want or appreciate. One needs only look at Obamacare to see how the Democrats rammed it down our throats despite overwhelming opposition.
The idea that the will of the people (which after all, is what elections express) should not matter as much as it does is a scary thing to hear from an American politician. When the will of the people is ignored or trivialized countries end up with people like Chavez, Hitler and Il in charge.
These are the kinds of words one expects to hear from dictators.
Then again, they are also the kinds of words one hears before getting one…

Dismantling Obamacare

Republicans were sent to Congress in record numbers last November and one big thing on the agenda was to repeal Obamacare which remains on the books even though it has been declared unconstitutional. It is a tall order because the Senate is still controlled by Democrats and Obama wields the might veto pen. However, all is not lost. Republicans are working on defunding the Democrat’s signature law and the FY 2012 budget does not provide one cent for the law. In addition, the 800 billion dollars in tax increases and other funding measures will be repealed with passage of the budget.
This is still a tall order because Democrats control the Senate and the White House but it is not insurmountable. The Democrats are already fighting a battle over a budget for this year and that fight is self inflicted. The same folks who are out screaming about how it is irresponsible not to have a budget or that Republicans are delaying one from being passed are the same ones who punted the ball on passing a budget when they were in charge. Democrats (and the country) only have one group to blame for the lack of a budget and the potential shut down of the government and that is the Democrats. They were in charge and decided not to pass a budget with an election on the horizon.
This left it up to Republicans to clean up the mess (once again) before they could get down to business.
Despite having to deal with the neglect of the Democrats the Republicans have pushed forward with a blueprint for the 2012 fiscal year. It is not pretty and will cause some pain but it is what we need to get our fiscal house in order. There will be trillions of dollars cut over the next decade and programs will be restructured to ensure solvency. Along with that Obamacare will not be funded.
A symbolic gesture was made today when part of Obamacare was repealed. The part that deals with filing 1099s passed both chambers of Congress and now Obama will be tested. There is a provision in the bill that he does not like so he will have to decide whether to veto the entire thing or swallow hard and bite the bullet.
It is not much in the over all scheme of things but it is an appetizer to the main meal of the FY 2012 budget.
Republicans are holding the feet of the Democrats to the fire and need to keep working on getting our fiscal house in order. They need to keep working to get rid of Obamacare.
And if Democrats continue to resist then they need to be replaced in the next election.
We need to get back to our heritage of paying our bills. We need to stop deficit spending and we need to do it now.
As an aside, ever notice how members of political parties are against deficit spending until they are in charge? Let us hope that the Republicans have learned their lesson and return us to fiscal sanity.
If not, they know that they too can be replaced.

Obama’s Secret Stash

After Barack Obama was elected there was some event where people were lined up to receive taxpayer money because of their dire economic situations. A woman who was interviewed said she was there for the money. When asked where the money was coming from she said Obama. Then when asked where he was getting it she said she did not know, maybe from his stash.
Typical welfare queen who thinks there is some stash of money that is available for those who “need” it.
Perhaps though, she was on to something. Obamacare seems to have Obama’s secret stash contained in it. The Heritage Foundation reports that Obamacare contains appropriations of $105 BILLION to implement the law. These appropriations were inserted to bypass the appropriations procedure and were designed to prevent a future Congress from defunding the program.
This was a blatant move to circumvent the Constitutional method for appropriating funds and nothing more. Democrats probably had a feeling that Obamacare would end their reign as the majority and did this to allow the unconstitutional law to proceed.
Nancy Pelosi said we had to pass the bill to see what was in it and that looks to be the case as we have now discovered an underhanded method to fund an unpopular and unconstitutional law.
Republicans can defund this but it will take extra work and diligence to get it right. The article at Heritage points out:
Conservatives can still save the nation from Obamacare’s bureaucratic kudzu, but they must act proactively. They must go beyond simply not providing funds for the implementation of Obamacare. CRS explains: “Precedents require that the language be phrased in the negative, for example, that ‘none of the funds provided in this paragraph (typically an account) shall be used for’ a specified activity.”
The Democrats leave messes and others have to clean them up. They are underhanded and sneaky and should never be trusted.
They made it difficult but not impossible to clean up the mess of Obamacare but the question is, why did they do it?
If it is so wonderful and everyone will love it then why did the Democrats in Congress do this?
They did it because they knew people opposed it and they wanted to ram it down our throats. In order to control the population they must control health care and they are well on their way. They are a third of the way to having everyone dependent on a government handout and if they can nail down health care they will have us all by the gonads.
We need to put an end to this now and we need to keep Democrats from ever having power.

Obamacare Adds Employees To The IRS

Obamacare will cost a lot of money instead of saving money like we were told (lied to) when it was introduced. We are already seeing this as the IRS will need thousands of new agents to implement the law. The IRS will effectively become an enforcer of a health care law that has been ruled unconstitutional.
The IRS will need 81 new agents just to keep track of the new tax on tanning salons and 76 will keep track on those who make and import drugs to make sure they pay the new fees imposed on them. Does anyone with a brain actually think these taxes and fees will NOT be passed on to the consumer?
This increase on consumers will add to the misery being felt by consumers who are paying a lot more for things since Obama took office. Dick Morris has a very sobering chart posted at his website. This chart shows how bad things have gotten under Obama.
The law will not create private sector jobs but it will certainly add to an already inflated federal payroll.
And it will add more costs to consumers.
