Andy Harris for Congress in Maryland’s First District

I have written a number of times about my problem with Maryland First Congressional District Congressman Wayne Gilchrest and it is no secret to my readers that I am extremely dissatisfied with Gilchrest’s positions on many topics but particularly on the war and immigration. Wayne Gilchrest has sided with the cut and run Democrats and voted with them to bring our troops home in defeat and to weaken America. In a letter to me he said that when he was in Vietnam he hoped every day that Congress would bring him home. Wayne, I thank you for your service but hope is not proper mission planning. Perhaps if you were executing your mission instead of obsessing with Congress bringing you home we might have won the war.
As for immigration, once again Gilchrest shows that he is a RINO. He supports amnesty for those who have broken our laws and entered this country ILLEGALLY. As an aside, immigration arrested about 1500 gang members today and 1000 of them were ILLEGALS. These are the people Wayne wants to grant amnesty. Wayne Gilchrest has an R after his name but he is in fact a Democrat in every sense of the word. He continually votes with the Democrats on issues that run contrary to what real Republicans want. Wayne voted in favor of the S-CHIP bill which is nothing more than the gateway to socialized medicine. Sure we have it now but Wayne voted for the new and improved version that would provide health care to children in families making over 80,000 dollars a year. I have written a number of times that if Gilchrest had a primary opponent I would work for that person and if Gilchrest made it to the general election I would vote for the Democrat opposing him. This is how strongly I feel about getting him out of office. I understand he started out as a good guy but DC, as it does with so many, changed Wayne.
I am happy to announce that Maryland State Senator Andy Harris is running against Wayne Gilchrest and I am equally happy to fully support his candidacy. I like Andy Harris and I like his views and Conservative values. Andy Harris is a physician who serves in the Naval Reserve and holds the rank of Commander. Senator Harris is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm and instead of hoping Congress would bring him home, he pressed on with his mission. Most importantly, with regard to the war, Senator Harris understands what is at stake and he knows that our enemy seeks to convert people to Islam or to kill them. In Andy’s own words; “In this war, surrender is not an option.”
Senator Harris I am happy to throw my support behind you and your campaign to bring Conservatism back to the First District. It is refreshing to have a candidate who does not distort his record to appease the masses. I look forward to supporting you and being there when you raise your hand in victory in the primary election and again in the general. I believe that the large number of family and friends in the First will be behind you and I will work on those who are not yet decided.
I urge all Marylanders in the First Congressional District to vote for Andy Harris for Congress.

Clinton Adds to Den of Thieves

They say you can tell a lot about people by the company they keep. Hillary Clinton has told us a lot about herself with the newest addition to her advisory staff. Clinton has hired on Sandy Berger as an adviser. Berger was convicted of stealing and then destroying classified documents from the National Archives.
It seems not to bother Clinton that a man who violated the trust of this country and who should be in jail works for her. It must not bother her because she allowed the guy to be hired. If this is an indication of how a Hillary White House will operate then it should give people pause with regard to putting her in there. It was bad enough to go through eight years of her husband and his den of thieves but to go through it again would be insane.
This is Washington business as usual. Hire the people who have screwed the place up so they can continue to give us more of the same. It is beyond me how there are so few qualified people in this country that we must continue to recycle has beens and thieves through the DC machine.
Of course, this job could be payback for Berger’s deeds at the Archives. It is believed that he stole documents that were harmful to former President Clinton. The documents might have implicated Clinton in the apathy that led to 9/11.
Hillary is some piece of work. She has a husband who can’t keep things in his pants and an adviser who can’t keep things out.

Those Religious Nut Politicians

Since George Bush was elected president his religious views have been ridiculed and scorned, especially by those on the left and in the media (but I repeat myself). When George Bush says that he seeks the guidance of the Almighty people act as if he has three heads. When he talks about prayer the left goes nuts and there are those who believe that religion has no place in government. The religious contingent of voters has been referred to as the religious right as if there is something inherently wrong with being a religious person because, after all, they are on the right.
Of course, when the Democrats are out trying to win an election they find religion. Part of the Democratic platform is to speak more of religion and to court the religious vote. The left does not care about the people it just wants their votes. Look at how many Democrats speak from churches when they are running for office. After they are elected they seem to run from the church and anything religious. One might say that religion should not play in the political arena and that is certainly a view to which people are entitled. What I find interesting is the hypocrisy.
Those who think that George Bush is pushing Christianity across the Middle East as part of his personal crusade get their panties in a wad whenever they talk about the president and his agenda. But along comes B. Hussein Obama with his talk about religion and building a Kingdom on Earth and he is hailed as the second coming of John the Baptist.
Obama was in a church this weekend where he said:
“Sometimes this is a difficult road being in politics,” Obama said. “Sometimes you can become fearful, sometimes you can become vain, sometimes you can seek power just for power’s sake instead of because you want to do service to God. I just want all of you to pray that I can be an instrument of God in the same way that Pastor Ron and all of you are instruments of God.” CNN
If George Bush siad that he was an instrument of God the left in America would be melting down in a pile of babbling goo. They would be very upset that this president invoked God and discussed his religion in the decisions he has made. How dare him be an instrument of God? In fact, there are those who believe that Bush thinks he is an instrument of God and acts accordingly, much to the distaste of the Godless liberals.
Let Obama show up and speak in such a fashion and all the sudden he is revered as a religious man who will do God’s work in America. I will admit though, when he said the part about being vain and seeking power for power’s sake, I though of Hillary…
Religion plays a large part in American politics and there is no escaping that regardless of what the ACLU and the atheists want. However, Democrats only seem to care about religion when it is time to be elected. Any other time their moral compass points to Hell.
The problem, of course, is that some people fall for this. The Jews vote overwhelmingly Democrat though the Democrats screw the Jews and abandon Israel every time they get the chance. The black community, which is strongly conservative in its religious views, votes Democratic in every election despite the fact that 40 years of Democratic policies and programs has put them in a worse position.
I only hope the religious right can see through this mindless prattle and realize that no matter how much the Democrats claim to be people of God, when the votes are counted and they have won, they go right back to their Godless ways.
Forty million murdered babies are evidence of that.

Joe Wilson Was OK with Naming Wife

Robert Novak writes that he discussed his article with Joe Wilson before it was published and Wilson did not object to his wife being mentioned. Joe’s concerns were egotistical in that he did not want the article’s focus to be that he was simply an opponent of the war and he wanted Novak to know his wife used his last name.
The whole time that the Plame game was going on Wilson acted like the world had come to an end because his wife had been outed. He pinned all this on the Vice President and he said it was a concerted effort to get him for his opposition to the war (but don’t focus on that). It seems to me that if this half baked jackass was so concerned about his wife’s status he would have told Novak his concerns so that the information would not have been printed. Since Wilson failed to say anything and since he allowed his wife’s identity to be published we can conclude that she was not covert (as we have said all along) and that Joe Wilson knew she was not covert. If we go on the assumption that she was covert then he [Wilson] is the one responsible for outing her and he should get to be frog marched to court.
As for Fitzgerald, he knew the identity of the leak when he spoke with Novak a few days into the investigation. The fact that he continued for months on end shows he was engaged in a witch hunt and that he wasted a bunch of taxpayer dollars. If Fitzgerald had ended when he found the “leak” (what he was empowered to do) we could have saved a fortune and a lot of people would not have been inconvenienced, especially Scooter Libby. Fitzgerald was helping someone on the left and he did not care who got hurt in the process. There are those who praised the guy but I think he was grossly incompetent.
There was something fishy about Mr. Plame and his wife right from the start. The nepotism and the incompetence coupled with the partisan view taken by the third rate diplomat caused a lot of problems. One can only hope they send him on another assignment real soon.
But with a one way ticket.

Kerry Criticizes Limbaugh Over Troop Remark, Is This a Joke?

Rush Limbaugh has been the talk of news this week because he called a phony soldier a phony. The left, in an attempt to have its own MoveOn moment, pounced on Limbaugh’s words and have been distorting the truth all week. There are many people who have an opinion about this and most are certainly entitled but it strikes me as odd that those who claim to support the troops but don’t hurl mud at a guy who actually does support the troops. People are entitled to think as they wish but one man who is not allowed to chime in on this is Senator John Kerry. Before I get to him though, let me address Wesley Clark’s demand that Limbaugh be taken off Armed Forces Radio. Listen up general, the troops asked for Limbaugh. When surveyed he is chosen overwhelmingly so let us let them decide. AFR can ask the troops and if they want him gone then fine and if they want him to stay that is fine too. Since you were a politician and not an officer, let me explain it. As leaders we are supposed to look out for our soldiers. It is not up to you to decide who they get to listen to based on your political agenda. The troops are not politicians and you should be ashamed of yourself trying to use them as pawns in your political game. Leave them alone and let them listen to real leaders.
On to Kerry. John Kerry was indignant. He was beside himself over the remarks that Limbaugh made. Of course, Kerry is sticking to the erred Democratic take on Limbaugh but that is what drones are supposed to do. John Kerry said this:
“This disgusting attack from Rush Limbaugh, cheerleader for the chicken-hawk wing of the far Right, is an insult to American troops. In a single moment on his show, Limbaugh managed to question the patriotism of men and women in uniform who have put their lives on the line and many who died for his right to sit safely in his air conditioned studio peddling hate.†—Sen. John “phony soldier†Kerry, on Rush’s comments condemning another phony soldier for lying about serving in Iraq Federalist Patriot
I want to clear a few things up with you John. I like Limbaugh and so do many of our fighting men and women so when you refer to Limbaugh as a cheerleader for the chicken-hawk wing you are really calling those of us serving and who have served chicken-hawks if we happen to like Limbaugh. I would also point out that the military voted overwhelmingly for George Bush in the last election and they have asked that Limbaugh’s program be on Armed Forces Radio. This means that they preferred Bush and Limbaugh to you so perhaps you should stop with the attacks.
Not to mention that you are the dumb ass who said that our troops terrorized Iraqi women and children. You are the dumb ass who said that our soldiers were not educated. You excused this as a botched joke and I conceded at the time that you might have meant it differently. How dare you deliberately distort what Limbaugh said for political gain after your history of disrespect to members of the armed forces. You, Senator Jack Ass, were the one who came home from Vietnam and called our troops murderers and rapists. You were the one who dishonored them by lying about them in order to launch your political career. You Senator Dip Stick have no standing with regard to the Limbaugh issue. You are nothing more than a worthless POS who wastes perfectly good oxygen every time you inspire (that is breathe in because you are certainly not an inspiring person). I commend you for your service but it is too bad you did not receive those Purple Hearts posthumously. America would be a better place.
I remember the week long media blitz just prior to the last election with every person excusing your comments and telling us all it was a botched joke. I saw how the troops in Iraq responded to your deliberate smear and I saw how you have not lost your hate of the military. You can claim you support them but actions speak louder than words and your actions have nothing to do with support. You are a sleazy, self centered, egotistical, sorry excuse for a human being and you are an even sorrier excuse for a Senator.
You sir, are a hypocrite.
