Wayne Gilchrest Usurps President’s Authority
Apr 26, 2007 Political
I expect the Democrats to do stupid things. As I stated before, this is a group of people who cried that President Bush was encroaching upon their turf and involving himself in Legislative issues when they were in the minority. Now that they are the majority party they have decided to get involved in Executive Branch business. We have had Screecher of the House Bella Pelosi attempting to be the Secretary of State and thus screwing up diplomacy and making the US look like idiots and we now have the members of Congress trying to determine how the war should be run. They have passed a bill that sets out a timetable for troops withdraw. Basically, they have taken this function from the Commander in Chief and given it to themselves. The Constitution is clear in that the President is the Commander in Chief. As such, he sets the timetables and decides how a war is prosecuted. The Congress has specific authority with regard to regulating the law of the military and funding it.
As I stated, I expect Democrats to do this but when Republicans do it I am a bit upset. The Republicans are supposed to support the troops and setting timetables that allow the enemy to wait us out and declare victory is not support. Telling the enemy that the war is lost and that if they blow up more troops we will tuck tail and run is not a method that supports the troops, it is one that gets more of them killed. By agreeing with the latest bill, any member who voted yea is basically agreeing with Dingy Harry Reid that the war is lost and is providing aid and comfort to the enemy. Wayne Gilchrest is one such Republican.
He voted for a withdraw earlier and I wrote him about it. He sent me back a double talk letter that told me how he supports the troops and why he voted in favor of the enemy. He indicated that when he was in Vietnam he wondered every day when politicians were going to get him home. Perhaps if he had been fighting instead of crying like a coward about going home we could have won the war before the cut and run Democrats led by protester John Kerry and his bimbo buddy Jane Fonda were able to cut off funding for the troops and thereby snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Wayne Gilchrest is a coward who can not stand up for good Republican principles. He does not support the troops and he voted for a bill that not only makes life more dangerous for our them, it also usurps the President’s authority and spends MILLIONS of dollars on pork projects. This man is not fiscally responsible and should not be in office. The only reason he is there is because he ran unopposed and because most Republicans don’t stand a chance in Maryland. Gilchrest does well here because he is just like them.
I have no doubt in my military mind I could do his job much better than he does. Unfortunately, the way they have set things up I could never afford to run for the office, which is good news for you Wayne. Additionally, I am a bit too smart to be in Congress and I refuse to have the frontal lobotomy required to serve in that house of prostitution.
Shame on you Congressman. Shame on you for being a coward and not supporting our troops. I don’t know if you were worried that Pelosi might smack you or something but whatever the reason you lacked the testicular fortitude to do the right thing by our troops. I hope you enjoyed this little shot at trying to do the Executive branch’s job because this is as close as you will ever get to higher office.
If I have my say you will not survive the next election. When that time rolls around I will be actively working to get you beaten even if it means supporting a Democrat to take your place. At least with the Democrat I expect the stupidity. I also told you in my last letter, Mr. Gilchrest, that I would ensure that my social network did not support of vote for you. There are a couple hundred of my family and friends that will no longer vote for you no matter what. You better hope that you run unopposed in the primary and in the general election or you will be out of a job. Then maybe you will remember that you work for us, not the other way around.
I will be informing the Gathering of Eagles and Rolling Thunder about your betrayal of our troops. They should give you a nice reception next time you show your weaselly little face around a gathering of real veterans.

Harry Reid Must Resign
Apr 26, 2007 Political
Duncan Hunter is calling for the resignation of Harry Reid as the Senate Majority Leader:
WASHINGTON (CNN) — Rep. Duncan Hunter called Wednesday for Sen. Harry Reid to resign his post as Senate majority leader over remarks that the senator made last week that the war in Iraq “is lost” if the United States continues on its current policy.
Hunter, a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, is the ranking member of the House Armed Services Committee.
“In my opinion Sen. Reid, having made that statement, which can only have a demoralizing effect on our troops and an effect of encouragement of the adversary, I think it would be appropriate for Sen. Reid to resign his position as the leader of the United States Senate,” he said.
Reid made his remarks Thursday, prompting an angry backlash from Republicans. CNN
I have been pushing for his resignation from the Senate because of his unethical and illegal activities. I would also like to see Feinstein be ousted for funneling money to her husband. She is a war profiteer.
While the Democratically controlled Congress conducts witch hunts and issues subpoenas for no good reason they overlook the illegal behavior of their own members. It is nice to know they have such moral authority.

Democrats Court Jewish Vote
Apr 26, 2007 Political
Some of the Democratic contenders for the Presidency courted Jewish votes this week by attending the National Jewish Democratic Council. This is typical for campaign season and is much in line with how Democrats treat blacks. Every election cycle the Democrats go to the black community and make tons of promises and then the day after the election those promises are forgotten or ignored. The Jews are treated the same way and, with regard to both groups, I can not figure out why they continue to support Democrats.
Hillary Clinton told the assembly that Iran might need to be confronted militarily. Hillary does not, for one moment, have intentions of using the military against Iran but this makes for good relations with Jews who have heard Iranian President Ahmadinejad say that Israel should be wiped off the map. The way Hillary and the rest of the Democrats treat the Jews and Israel leaves one to wonder why any Jew would believe what they have to say. The minute Israel defends itself from the Islamic animals who constantly attack her, the Democrats are talking about disproportionate responses and the need for peace. How many times do we need to have a peace process in that part of the world that is interrupted by Muslims launching rockets into Israel before we realize that the Muslims do not want peace? How many times do Democrats need to appear and make unfilled promises to Jews before they realize that the Democrats do not give a damn about Israel?
The other thing that I want to know is how Hillary expects the military establishment to get behind any war plan when the Democrats refuse to get behind the current war. The Democrats want to bring our troops home in defeat just as they did in Vietnam. This will certainly give us another period of low morale and declining enlistments and will cause those who serve and who would serve to question the value of doing so. If we cut and run from Iraq I would suggest that every member of the military serve out his time and leave the service. There are plenty of jobs in the civilian world and the war Hillary says we might need in Iran can be fought by the children of her supporters. No member of the military in his right mind would willingly go to war in Iran if they will receive the same support from Democrats, the MSM, and the selfish portion of the American population as it is getting now.
Democrats trot out in front of special interest groups every election cycle and tell wonderful stories about all the good they will do. Jewish groups, the NAACP, other black organizations and now, of course, ILLEGAL immigration advocates are all wooed by Democrats who will forget these groups exist after the votes are counted.
My question to these groups is; the Democrats count on your votes but can you count on the Democrats? History tells us the answer is no but like mindless drones these groups continue to gather at the trough every election cycle to lap up the Kool-Aid. It is time they started looking past the rhetoric and see what is really happening.
As an aside, I wonder if Hillary spoke with a Jewish accent. “Oy, I want you to vote, ya neva cawll. I like the chicken soup ya sent, woulda vote be too much to aask fowr.” She played that with the “rubes” in the south when she became Hillary of Sunnybrook Farm. Perhaps she figures it would be insulting to those who she considers sophisticated.

Harry Reid is a Disgrace
Apr 24, 2007 Political
Harry Reid is not one of my favorite people. It is not that he is a Democrat, I like plenty of them and some I admire even though I don’t agree with them. My admiration comes from the fact that they stick to their beliefs no matter how misguided or wrong I might think they are. People like Reid though are opportunists who only look out for their political careers. Kick in the fact that Reid consistently ignores Senate ethics rules and always seems to be involved in some shady deal and you can understand why Rush Limbaugh refers to him as dingy Harry Reid.
Reid recently stated that the war in Iraq was lost. I have already taken this weak man to task for those comments and today Vice President Dick Cheney (who I like) had a few words to say about Reid and his statements:
I usually avoid press comment when I’m up here, but I felt so strongly about what Senator Reid said in the last couple of days, that I thought it was appropriate that I come out today and make a statement that I think needs to be made.
I thought his speech yesterday was unfortunate, that his comments were uninformed and misleading. Senator Reid has taken many positions on Iraq. He has threatened that if the President vetoes the current pending supplemental legislation, that he will send up Senator Russ Feingold’s bill to de-fund Iraq operations altogether.
Yet only last November, Senator Reid said there would be no cutoff of funds for the military in Iraq. So in less than six months’ time, Senator Reid has gone from pledging full funding for the military, then full funding but with conditions, and then a cutoff of funding — three positions in five months on the most important foreign policy question facing the nation and our troops.
Yesterday, Senator Reid said the troop surge was against the recommendations of the Iraq Study Group. That is plainly false. The Iraq Study Group report was explicitly favorable toward a troop surge to secure Baghdad. Senator Reid said there should be a regional conference on Iraq. Apparently, he doesn’t know that there is going to be one next week. Senator Reid said he doesn’t have real substantive meetings with the President. Yet immediately following last week’s meeting at the White House, he said, “It was a good exchange; everyone voiced their considered opinion about the war in Iraq.”
What’s most troubling about Senator Reid’s comments yesterday is his defeatism. Indeed, last week, he said the war is already lost. And the timetable legislation that he is now pursuing would guarantee defeat.
Maybe it’s a political calculation. Some Democratic leaders seem to believe that blind opposition to the new strategy in Iraq is good politics. Senator Reid himself has said that the war in Iraq will bring his party more seats in the next election. It is cynical to declare that the war is lost because you believe it gives you political advantage. Leaders should make decisions based on the security interests of our country, not on the interests of their political party. The Corner
VP Cheney is correct. Reid vowed that the Democrats would not cut funding for the troops and now he is threatening to do just that if the President does not sign the bill that Congress sent him for funding the war. The President has indicated he will veto it because it contains a timetable. He should veto it! It is not the place of Congress to determine the manner or time with regard to how a war is executed. The President is responsible for how a war is run and Congress is trying to remove his Constitutional power by using the money for the war as a method to blackmail the President into acquiescing his authority. This should not occur and the veto pen is a way to ensure it does not.
Reid responded to the VP’s remarks by indicating that this bill is generous and provides more than what the President asked for. It does because it is loaded with pork. The bill includes pork for farmers and other groups. This money has nothing to do with the war and should be stricken though I believe the President would sign the bill, pork and all, if it did not contain timetables. Reid is full of crap and the only thing he has in mind is how his party can pick up more seats in the next election and how he can keep his job, a job that he is pathetically inept at performing.
I believe that Reid took too many shots to the head when he boxed and that the stroke he suffered caused brain damage (of course this assumes he has a brain). He must be brain damaged to say that he will not resort to name calling and then in the next breath call the VP a name. Our soldiers deserve better than this guy and they have expressed their dissatisfaction with both Reid and Bella Pelosi. One troop called Reid a douche and I can not argue that point. Reid is a low life scum sucking maggot who does not deserve to be in the Senate much less a leadership position.
I thank God every day that these idiots were not in charge during WW II or we would be speaking German or Japanese and be relegated to serving the leaders of those countries. I am also thankful that these idiots were not in charge when we were fighting for independence or we might still be under the Crown. Reid and his ilk are pathetic losers who are cowards and do not have the stomach to fight when it is necessary. The only thing they know how to fight for is the power they have obtained.
We need to get rid of these jackasses in the next election. Harry Reid needs to go back to private life where he can work on bogus land deals. He needs to be gone and at this point I really don’t care how that is accomplished. I would just as soon take him to Iraq and drop him off on the middle of the desert and tell him to start walking. Maybe we could see if he would like to box with one of our soldiers who has “lost the war.”
Listen up Reid. We have not lost anything and we can not allow pathetic losers like you to do to our troops what you did during Vietnam. We can not allow this. If you allow this to happen we might just have to show up in force in DC and straighten you pathetic people out. Sheehan and her hag patrol are not the only ones who can protest and get on the news.
I agree with Gribbit who said that President Bush should start shutting own departments in the government that have nothing to do with the war until it is fully funded and without restrictions. Start with the Department of Education and work down from there. Nothing will get done in government until the war is funded. If I were President this is the kind of hardball I would play and I would make sure that the Democrats suffered dearly for their lack of support for our troops.
Harry Reid is a dweeby little idiot who needs his ass kicked. I can think of about 140,000 people who would stand in line to do just that.
UPDATE: The Democrats are not with him and Reid is backpedaling. It is all because they do not want to appear soft on national security. Too late!

Hillary Plays the Bill Card Early
Apr 23, 2007 Political
There was a time when folks were wondering when Hillary was going to involve her husband in the race. She was trying, I suppose, to be her own independent self and he was (or appeared to be) happy with a position in the background. Bill sat in the back while Hillary made her speeches and he spoke when she was unable to be in two places at once or when the audience called for his special gift of gab. The pundits often asked if Bill would be a help or a hindrance and there was worry within her campaign that his reputation and sullied past might cast an unfavorable light on her own egotistical ambitions. So it was strange to me that she trotted the old man out.
She did this by indicating that when she is President she will appoint Bill as a roving ambassador to make peace throughout the world (and no doubt sell our secrets to our enemies along the way). She indicated that he was good with foreign relations (and apparently domestic ones as evidenced by his sexcapades) and that he would be an asset. Why the big switch? When I read this I wondered why it is that she would be trotting him out now, using his name and the fact that he is well liked in many circles, to her advantage. Why now? I figured that since considered herself the obvious choice for the Democratic nomination that she would save the Bill card to perhaps woo swing voters in the general election. She might just be able to pull off a coup with another ‘two for the price of one” remark and give false hope to those who would like to see Bill as President once again.
Then came the news today that Barack Obama had pulled even with the queen in the latest Rasmussen poll and it became obvious to me why she is playing the Bill card early and in the Democratic Primary. She has been losing ground to Obama for quite some time and even being married to the “first black president” is not taking away the 16% advantage Obama has among blacks. Hillary played the Bill card because she is losing ground and is now dead even with the opponent she once led by 16 points. Her people had to know about this based on their internal polling and that would explain the timing of the bill remark.
This is a Hail Mary play for Hillary. She is using an act of desperation early in the campaign in order to stave off a surge by Obama. She has played this card way too early in that polls change all the time and this could be an up and down ride the entire way. By playing this card early she has shown that she is not as strong and not as confident as people were led to believe. This started when she moved 10 million dollars into her coffers in order to look like the big campaign fund raiser. This all happened when her people saw that Obama would raise nearly as much money as Madame Hill.
Hillary has been forced to play cards early, once with moving funds and once with invoking Bill. This can not bode well for the person who thinks she has experience that her rival lacks and that she is the one to lead this country. It would appear that she is being outplayed by the one without the experience.
Hillary will explode very soon and that will be fun to watch!
