Tokyo Rose et al
Jan 16, 2007 Political
Tokyo Rose had the best music on her station and most people just laughed. The ship I was on was sunk no less than five times but each time Davey Jones threw her back up. Through Tokyo Rose during World War II the Japanese attempted to develop a way to demoralize American forces. It was intended that Japanese psychological warfare experts could formulate a message that would work against the best interests of the United States and its military personnel. And they gave their script to the famous broadcaster “Tokyo Rose,” and every day she would broadcast this same message packaged in different ways, hoping it would have a negative impact on the morale and fighting spirit of American GI’s.
What was the message? It had three main points:
1. Your President is lying to you.
2. This war is illegal.
3. You cannot win the war.
Does this sound familiar?
Is it because Tokyo Hillary, Tokyo Harry, Tokyo John, Tokyo Teddy, Tokyo Nancy, and Tokyo Murtha have picked up the same message and are broadcasting it on Tokyo CNN, Tokyo ABC, Tokyo CBS, and Tokyo NBC to our troops. The only difference is that they claim to support our troops before they demoralize them. Come to think of it, Tokyo Rose told the troops she was on their side, too!
I wonder why the American people are letting them get away with it?

The Funeral Dirge Begins for Maryland
Jan 15, 2007 Political
On Wednesday the state of Maryland will swear in his royal highness Martin O’Malley O’Money who will serve as the chief liberal and whiner in charge. The idiots, and I do mean idiots, in Baltimore City, Prince Georges County, and Montgomery County (as well as portions of Baltimore Country) elected this jackass to be Governor of this state. O’Money will bring to the state what he brought to the city, high crime, budget deficits, and a poor school system. Yep, O’Money’s city has averaged a murder a day so far this year. There have been more murders there than in my county all of last year. But O’Money has the solutions.
His solutions used to be whining and blaming all his woes on someone else, usually Governor Ehrlich. O’Money’s school system lost millions of dollars, no problem, his police force has been arresting blacks in disproportionate numbers and for no reason, he gave orders to fudge crime numbers, and his school system is in danger of losing money because of poor performance (under NCLB). This stellar performance is why the teacher’s union endorsed him. If they were too stupid to see how terrible his record is it is no wonder the school children are failing.
Well, his highness is talking now about increasing homeland security and keeping us safe from terrorists. The man who once said he was more afraid of George Bush than Osama bin Laden now wants us to think he cares about homeland security. He only cares that the federal government will give him money to spend and that is all he cares about. For years his people in the Maryland Transportation Authority made O’Money aware of security problems. Fences with holes, camera boxes with no cameras, and lights not functioning. The reports went unanswered for so long that one of those guys went higher. His reward was that he was placed on a detail away from the area, sat through several administrative hearings dealing with his performance and he eventually lost his job. When Godfather Martin wants you to be quiet you had better do so or a horse’s head will end up in your bed.
So his majesty will take the reigns on Wednesday and the black clouds will roll in. The state has raised the Emergency Status to level 3 so the emergency operations center will be partially activated. What could possibly warrant such overkill? This guy is not the Pope. He is not anyone even remotely important. In the overall scheme of things he is a piss ant not worth the time of day. Unfortunately, a bunch of really stupid people, many of whom live on government hand outs, decided to put him in office so they can get their gubmint checks. He might be insignificant but since he is a Democrat and has control of our money, he is dangerous.
Mark my words, this jackass will tax the hell out of us. So to all you folks from the Sheriff’s Association, the State Police, Santa Claus Anonymous and all the other agencies who call and ask for my money. Forget it. I will be looking for tax exempt places to invest it so that the dumb ass Governor can not get his hands on it.
I do hear Pennsylvania and Delaware are better places to live….

Pelosi Abuses Power with Regard to Military
Jan 15, 2007 Political
Nancy Pelosi had a stern warning for President Bush. She said he should not abuse his power with regard to troop levels and that Congress had an oversight authority. Sorry Ms. Pelosi, it is you and the Congress who are abusing power. You have not let Republicans be involved in any of the early legislation and several of the idiots in your party are trying to pass illegal legislation to limit the President’s role as Commander in Chief. It would do Nancy and her gang a bit of good to review the Constitution and to speak with a few lawyers. The President has command authority over the military, not the Congress. The Congress controls the budget for and laws governing the military but the President exercises command authority over the armed forces.
For years we have heard the Democrats cry and whine about Mr. Bush’s abuse of power. He spied, he listened, he did this and he did that. Yet, the first opportunity the Democrats got, they moved in to usurp the Constitutional authority of the President. Several, including Teddy the Boozer, have introduced legislation designed to make the President have to run everything past them and get approval. This is illegal. The President has the sole authority and does not need the permission of the Congress to move troops. The Congress has authority to declare war on other nations but the President is in charge of running the military. He, in concert with military experts, decide when and how to use the military.
The Congress has legislative and appropriations authority over the military. The Congress shall have the power to:
- Declare War, grant letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make rules concerning Captures on Land and Water
- To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of money to that use shall be for a longer term than two years
- To provide and maintain a Navy
- To make rules for the Government and Regulation of the land and naval forces
- To provide for calling forth the militia to execute the laws of the Union, suppress insurrection, and repel invasions
- To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining the militia, and for governing such part of them as may be employed in the service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the appointment of officers, and the authority of training the militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress
The militia are the National Guard so the portion on the militia describes how they are handled when called into active service. The militia is not the active military. Each of these items deals with either providing money or legislative authority. The rules governing the military are nothing more than the Uniform Code of Military Justice. It has been written by Congress and is the law that governs the military. The founders designed coequal branches of government. The President can not make laws governing the military and the Congress can not infringe on the President’s command authority. This system helps keep one branch of government from taking over through a military coup and it ensures that at least two branches have oversight. They must work together to make things happen. Congress voted to authorize the use of force so now the use of that force is governed by the President.
I am getting sick of Pelosi and her thugs trying to hamstring the President with illegal tactics and toothless warnings. They need to stay in their own lane and stop trying to exercise control they do not have. If they really think they can solve the problems by cutting the money for the military then let them do so. That will really play well the next time they want to be elected. If they give up that misguided idea that the election was a referendum on the war they might find it a bit easier to stick to what the Constitution says they are supposed to do. They should also consider the stupidity of trying to pass legislation that restricts the President. Besides being unconstitutional, the President can veto it and they do not have enough votes to override such a veto. It is a waste of time and a show to the people in this country who actually think we would be better off by leaving Iraq.
She said that in the last election, “the American people spoke out for change,” and “nowhere was that voice more clear than in the war in Iraq.” Today, “Democrats oppose the escalation of the war,” she said to cheers. “Let me repeat that: Democrats oppose the escalation of the war.
“We have said to the president … we want you to have a plan, and this is what we suggest,” said Pelosi, “a redeployment of our troops out of Iraq” to help “make the region more stable and make America safer.” SFGate
As stated, the last election had little to do with the war and we are not going to rehash that. As for Pelosi and their plan? Retreat is not a plan. You can not win by running away from a fight. There is no way the President is going to consider retreat. We will not cut and run so Pelosi should get it through her thick skull. We will not cut and run! This, America is what you elected to Congress. People who believe that surrender is a plan. I have an idea. Why don’t the Democrats surrender control of the Congress to people who actually know what they are doing. I would love to have a discussion with Pelosi. I would love to have this discussion with Pelosi. I would have grandma moonbat so flustered she would not know what to do.
The Democrats are doing nothing but laying the groundwork for the next election. Part of that plan involves America losing the war, because without defeat, it is likely they will not win the White House in 2008.
To Nancy and her fellow moonbats, see Article I, Section 8 and Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution.
Of course, I am no Constitutional scholar and I am not an attorney but it seems clear when I read it. That does not mean some activist judge will see it the same way. We allow abortions in this country and that word [abortion] does not appear in the Constitution and somehow, the act of Flag burning became speech so anything is possible. I only hope that if we are overrun by the enemy the first place they seize is the Capital. Congress would get what it deserves and those of us who KNOW what the Second Amendment says can take it from there.

When They Said Heads Would Roll…
Jan 15, 2007 Political
When the US took the decision to invade Iraq it was a foregone conclusion that heads would roll, especially those of the people who were responsible for the deaths of so many people under the repressive regime of the now dead Saddam Hussein. It is now reported that Barzan Ibrahim, Saddam’s half brother, and Awad Hamed al-Bandar were hanged for their crimes against humanity. As with the Hussein execution, the more “civilized” countries are expected to condemn the executions. Many countries do not have the death penalty. Regardless, it appears that Ibrahim is now really Hussein’s Half Brother…
During the execution the head of Ibrahim was torn from his body a rare event which will no doubt fuel the condemnations. These men were animals who never gave a second thought when they tortured and executed untold numbers of people for crimes as benign as saying something bad about Hussein. Why should anyone be concerned if they were put to death for their crimes and why should anyone be concerned if one of their heads became detached? Where were these countries when savages were sawing off the heads of people and showing the films all over the Internet?
I am happy that these guys have been executed. There are some people who deserve to die and these two, along with Hussein, certainly meet the criteria to be among them. It is high time that all the animals who served under Hussein and carried out crimes against humanity were rounded up and received the same fate. As for those who oppose this, worry about running your own countries and let the Iraqis handle their own problems. Most of you were not willing to help with the original problems so you have no right to discuss the solutions.
Unfortunately, many of the animals who committed crimes escaped to surrounding countries, countries that will condemn the atrocities committed by them but then allow them to live in exile while condemning the deaths of those who were captured. It is time for us to get more than serious about the problems in the Middle East. Their oppressive anti-Christian and anti-Semite rules and attitudes run contrary to those expected of civilized societies. The games they play with regard to how Muslims are treated are nothing more than elaborate smokescreens designed to allow them to silently increase their populations in other countries where they hope to take over and convert people to their twisted religion.
We should not remain silent as CAIR and any number of other Islamic Rights organizations encourage violence against non-Muslims. Silence and inaction on our part will only embolden them to continue their quest for world domination.
Let it be known that we prefer to live in peace but are willing to fight and kill for our freedom. Those who oppose us will certainly meet a fate at least as bad as Hussein and his henchmen.

Hillary Thinks Being Protected is a Shame
Jan 13, 2007 Political
Senator Hillary Clinton, a woman who is running for the presidency, took a break from her busy campaigning schedule to visit with the troops in Iraq. She is there to tell us how bad things are in that objective, nonjudgmental way for which the Democrats are famous. I imagine there will be few photo ops because the last time she was there at least one soldier was forced to pose with her as if they liked it when most would rather have avoided her and do not agree with her.
On this brief visit Senator Clinton was required to wear protective gear:
Clinton traveled wearing body armor and surrounded by a phalanx of soldiers and security guards. The level of security, she noted, was much higher than her first visit to Iraq back in 2004.
Our troops required her to wear body armor and a helmet for her own safety. Before the moonbats suggest that it was to protect her from OUR soldiers, keep in mind that if that were the case they would not have offered her the gear. In any event, Clinton seems to think that because she was not required to wear the gear last time she was there it is some indication of a “heartbreaking” problem in Iraq. Our soldiers wear that stuff all the time. Just because she did not have to wear it before is not necessarily any indication that things are any better or worse than before. Interestingly, while our military was making sure that Clinton was protected she indicated that we should not do the same for the Iraqi leaders:
“We are not going to be here providing protection for their leaders, which we do. We are not going to be here standing by and trying to be called in from time to time as they see fit. That is not in the cards.”
I guess if you are a leader in Iraq you are not worth the protection a carpetbagger from Illinois Arkansas New York is entitled to.
The most telling part of the story is Hillary’s swing back to the left with regard to the war:
“I don’t know that the American people or the Congress at this point believe this mission can work,” she said. “And in the absence of a commitment that is backed up by actions from the Iraqi government, why should we believe it?”
~snip~
Instead of sending more U.S. troops to Iraq, as President Bush plan, Clinton said it is time to start re-deploying U.S. troops out of Iraq.
Originally a fake hawk on the war and proponent for more troops to get the job done, she is now swinging back toward the cut and run liberal side of the aisle in time to make her official bid for the White House. I wonder if she will say she made a mistake or try to get people to forget her original position. It will be a bit hard for her to cover up all her assertions that Hussein had WMD and was a bad man that were made prior to Bush being elected but there are a lot of less than intelligent people out there. Witness the last election for which people who believed in the Democrats are beginning to pay a price.
Hillary is a power seeking self centered person who does not care for the military and believes that she and her ilk are intended, as a matter of birthright, to lead the American people. Her views change depending upon who she needs to fool at any given time and she is unethical and immoral. She will be a perfect candidate to represent the left side of the aisle.
Hillary thinks it is a shame she needs to be protected in Iraq and that we should not protect Iraqi leaders. Given her statements in this article it is evident that she does not think America should be protected either.
