First Muslim in Congress Swears to Jihad
Jan 4, 2007 Political
Keith Ellison, the first Muslim to infiltrate Congress, swore in today as the 110th Congress began this year’s trek into further ineptitude. Ellison swore in on a Koran that belonged to Thomas Jefferson. The historic piece was used at the request of Ellison probably as a way of saying that it must be OK because the book was Jefferson’s. Back then our founders were pretty smart and even that long ago they recognized the evil enemy. Jefferson was undoubtedly reading up on them so he would know what to expect. Jefferson was probably trying to ensure these savages did not enter the newly founded country. In any event, the MSM is salivating over the fact that this book of hatred belonged to Jefferson, as if it makes it all OK. Funny how when they discuss Jefferson owning a Koran he is a good guy but when we discuss the fact he owned slaves he is a bad guy. I guess the next time Robert Byrd swears in he can borrow a few slaves from the Jefferson estate because, well if ole’ Thomas did it, it must be right.
I was not there but we can imagine how the swearing in went:
“I
AbdulMohammadal AbrihimKeith Ellison do solemnly swear that I will uphold the parts of the Constitution that will help advance the spread of Islam and use those parts against the infidel Americans and that I will protect radical Muslim groups like CAIR and other terrorist front agencies to advance the spread of Islam by waging jihad against all infidels. I swear to make all women, even the newly installed Speaker, cover their bodies and serve men who will have converted. I take this oath freely so help me Allah. Ah lalalalalalala Akkbarrrr. Death to all infidels!”
This will be fun. I wonder how long it will be before he sponsors legislation to sell weapons to Hamas and Hezbollah. His death to Israel package is already in the works.
Stop the ACLU Blogburst 1-4-07
Jan 4, 2007 Political
Judge Roy Moore makes a New Years Resolution that I’m definitely on board with.
Each year the American Civil Liberties Union and other liberal organizations continue their efforts to destroy traditional values that we once assumed were self-evident and beyond question. And each year we sit quietly by doing nothing to stop their relentless assault on our culture and our religious heritage. As our resolution for the New Year, let us join together to defeat the ACLU’s anti-Christian agenda and restore our civil and religious freedom.
Most definitely the ACLU’s attack on religious freedom is one of many good reasons we should resolve to join together and fight back. We have a whole list of other good reasons. The damage the ACLU has done to our National Security, the War on Terror, and our National Soverignty are at the top of my personal list.
There are many reasons to stop the ACLU’s agenda, but what people need to know is how. Everyone needs to get involved. There is a lot that can be done.
One thing to do is to get active. Email, write, or call your elected officials and let them know that National Security is of primary concern. This time last year the ACLU were running full page ad propaganda war against the NSA and the Patriot Act. Even though the Democrats made a show of not clapping for the Patriot Act, in the end they lost that battle. They are still beating the dead horse over the NSA program.
Another thing is to elect people who will appoint Constitutionalist judges. We’ve made progress in this area over the past year. Last year around this time the ACLU announced their official opposition to the confirmation of Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court. Many of the ACLU’s biggest fans in the Senate fought hard to paint him as a woman hater and bigot, to the point of bringing his wife to tears, but in the end they all lost that battle.
When it comes to religious freedom, the ACLU is America’s number one censor. They have compared Christians to terrorists, and even called for jailing people over prayer. The most outrageous thing about this is that when these cases their attorney’s fees are paid for by the taxpayer. We have made progress against this in the past year. Currently there is legislation to put a stop to this and we got it passed in the House of Representatives. The bill is still pending before the Senate, and just because we lost the majority is no reason for us to let up.
Support groups that are fighting the ACLU. There are many out there including the Alliance Defense Fund, ACLJ, Liberty Council, and Thomas More Law Center. Join one of them, donate to them, and tell others about them.
Educate the public about the ACLU’s agenda. This last one is the New Year’s resolution we are making…to continue our fight against the ACLU by educating the public. Join us and over 200 other blogs in helping to expose the ACLU’s agenda to the people.

The Democrat’s Own Frankenstein
Jan 4, 2007 Political
Cindy Sheehan was the darling of the left back when the Democrats were the majority. She pranced around the country in her crusade that started as a quest to get the President to speak to her (again) about her son’s death. This crusade turned into a full blown obsession with Cindy and a band of gypsies parading around demanding an end to the war on terror in Iraq. Cindy camped out near the President’s ranch in Texas in order to harass him but only ended up harassing the locals who quickly tired of her lunacy.
Ann Coulter wrote about the victims of the left. People paraded around because they have some personal tragedy and therefore are unassailable. Any person who would dare attack the motives or actions of such a victim was cruel and mean. Cindy Sheehan was such a victim because her son was killed in Iraq. He volunteered for service and he volunteered for the mission he was killed on and I understand he performed his duties honorably. Somehow, to the demented aggrieved mother, this meant that George Bush killed her son. Cindy is always referred to as the mother who lost a son in Iraq. I imagine that this is so even when she is introduced in a social setting. “Reverend Jones, this is Mrs. Cindy Sheehan, she lost a son in Iraq.”
People who said anything about Sheehan were regarded as mean and vile. I was attacked on a number of occasions by people who thought I had no compassion and was attacking a poor grieving mother. In reality, I feel sorry for her because she lost her son and also because she has allowed herself to be manipulated so much that she now believes she has some importance. She is the Jane Fonda of this war and, like Fonda, a traitor to this nation.
Now that the Democrats have won the election and the Majority, they have no more use for her. They do not need her to run around blasting the President because they were able to fool a lot of America into voting for them. The problem is, no one told Sheehan that she was no longer needed. Cindy has now turned her attentions to the Democrats because when they campaigned they promised to cut and run. They are not doing it fast enough for momma moonbat and she is having a fit. Today, the Democrat’s Frankenstein attacked them and they were the ones embarrassed by their creation.
The Democrats were out to announce their agenda and how they were working on ethics reform (the Congress is the only government agency that needs to continually look at this because they are the ones always violating the ethical standards of government service). Cindy Frankenstein showed up with her pitchfork bearing mob and shouted down the Democrats. She and her mob wanted the Democrats to stop everything until they had cut off funds for the war. No matter how hard the Democrats tried they were unable to get their word out and they did what they do best, they cut and ran for cover in a room until it was over and then they slithered away. During the time they were hiding under the desks Frankenstein had the nerve to walk up to the microphones that were set up and she began to preach to everyone about the cause (I am Cindy Sheehan and I lost a son in the war). If that had been a Republican activist the police would have carted him off but Cindy is the monster created by the left so they can not treat her badly or they will be guilty of that which they pinned on everyone else, the sin of attacking a victim.
The left is now in a quandary. They promised America they would cut and run but they promised the Iraqis (in secret meetings) that they would stay in Iraq. They have an agenda for the first 100 hours and they want to push through legislation very quickly to give the appearance that they are the party of action. Their plan includes ignoring Republicans and passing certain social give away items and of course ethics reform. They want that to pass so it looks like they fixed the mess of the Republicans while ignoring people like John Conyers. The Democrats can ill afford to get stuck in a “quagmire” fighting over Iraq because that will blow their agenda and it will keep them from passing some quickies so they look good. The problem is, Frankenstein is looming large on the horizon and she wants, no demands action. She told them today that these are her DEMANDS. The Democrats have indeed created a monster and, as usual, they do not know how to handle things when they get tough so running seems like a good idea. The problem is, until they kill off Frankenstein, she will continue to haunt them.
My friend Ms. Underestimated has a video clip of Frankenstein at the conference today. Go take a look at it. Pay attention to how Frankenstein goes up to the microphones and makes demands. Yes folks, it will be real fun and for a change it is actually a pleasure to watch Sheehan because she is biting the hands that fed her. It does make me worry for my country though. If the Democrats can not handle one wacky moonbat, how on Earth are they going to handle the bad people in this world? I think they demonstrated that at the conference, cut and run anyone?

So Much for Bipartisanship, Democrats Lie Again
Jan 2, 2007 Political
For years the Democratic Party and its minions were up in arms about the lack of cooperation from Republicans. This is one of the reasons they so willingly supported the number of threatened filibusters and other obstructive measures thrown by the Democrats. The Democrats vowed that if they regained control this would change and they continued that assertion after the election. Like so many of their other campaign promises, this one will go by the wayside right from the start. Democrats have devised a plan to exclude the Republicans from their [Democrats] early agenda in order to quickly push through legislation and give the appearance of accomplishment. This is their prerogative as the majority but it starkly contrasts their stated position of cooperation and bipartisanship.
As they prepare to take control of Congress this week and face up to campaign pledges to restore bipartisanship and openness, Democrats are planning to largely sideline Republicans from the first burst of lawmaking.
House Democrats intend to pass a raft of popular measures as part of their well-publicized plan for the first 100 hours. They include tightening ethics rules for lawmakers, raising the minimum wage, allowing more research on stem cells and cutting interest rates on student loans.
But instead of allowing Republicans to fully participate in deliberations, as promised after the Democratic victory in the Nov. 7 midterm elections, Democrats now say they will use House rules to prevent the opposition from offering alternative measures, assuring speedy passage of the bills and allowing their party to trumpet early victories. Washington Post [emphasis mine]
This is one in a series of lies the Democrats have told. They promised to fully implement the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission (though I do not agree with all the recommendations) and after winning they backtracked and said they would not be able to do that. They will not be able to implement that which they promised and that which they lambasted President Bush and the Republicans for failing to do. They promised to have full work weeks and now it looks like that idea will be revisited. They met with Iraqi leaders prior to the elections ans assured them we would not leave while telling America they would redeploy (cut and run). I don’t agree with cutting and running but I did not promise America I would do so while promising Iraq I would not.
The Democrats are demonstrating the traits that they portrayed as bad in Republicans and they are flaunting their victory as a mandate to do as they wish regardless of their promises. America, you got what you deserve and the Democrats will stick it to you with one broken promise after another. In two years the economy will be in the tank and we will be the laughing stock of the world. Couple that with millions of ILLEGALS given amnesty and the burden that will place on our economy and national security and we will be in dire straights. One can only hope Bush wields the mighty veto pen and puts constraint on the Democrats.
Fear not though Liberals, George Bush is still President and you will still have him to blame. Wake up America. The time has come to demand term limits for Congress.

Pelosi to Violate Constitution
Jan 2, 2007 Political
Incoming Speaker Nancy Pelosi is proposing legislation that will violate the First Amendment of the Constitution by limiting or restricting the free speech of American Citizens. According to NewsMax:
Leading Capitol Hill watchdogs are sounding alarms by plans of the soon-to-be Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and her majority of House Democrats to ram through a new law that would seriously undermine free speech and put restrictions on conservative groups and others who encourage ordinary citizens to directly deal with Congress.
~snip~
At the top of the list is seemingly good legislation intended to curb the power of lobbyists. But the Pelosi law goes far beyond bridling Washington influence peddlers. Under her proposed legislation, Pelosi will seek to control and limit any organization in America from encouraging citizens to communicate and influence Congress.
~snip!
“The reporting requirements and more severe penalties being written in response to recent congressional corruption scandals would apply to those who have no Washington lobbyists, who make no political contributions, and who do not provide gifts, travel or anything of value to politicians,” Viguerie continues. [emphasis mine]
The First Amendment to the Constitution clearly states that Congress shall make “no law abridging the freedom of speech.” This is a particularly troubling item in that any web site owner or mass mailer that encourages people to contact Congress will be required by law to report to Congress. This is a violation of the Constitution because it is a law designed to stymie free speech. No private citizen should have to report to Congress for its grass roots efforts. The whole idea behind representative government is the involvement of the people.
Given that the Democrats beat Bush to death over his alleged abuse of the Constitution it is alarming that they would so blatantly violate it. What will happen if Rosie is on the view and encourages people to write their Congressman? What will happen if Kos, LGF or Michelle Malkin encourage that people who read their sites contact Congress about some legislation? I might not agree with some of the web sites or organizations but I will die defending their right to say what they want. This legislation is a serious problem for the American people and it will be advanced under the guise of curbing lobbyists. Once again, the average citizen is forced to pay for the inability of Congress to follow rules and work ethically.
I will never comply with a rule like this. Unlike the big web sites, I do not influence 500 people (an arbitrary limit in the law) but I might reach that many over time. I refuse to report to Congress about anything I write or encourage. They can see me in the Supreme Court and we can discuss it there. I will go further right now. I encourage all the people who read this to contact their elected representatives and tell them that this idea is wrong and violates the Constitution. I also encourage the big web sites to have their readers do the same.
We founded a great country by fighting for it and if necessary we will fight for it again. The oath is against all enemies foreign and domestic and those who would take away our freedom of speech are definitely domestic enemies.
