France is Playing a Dangerous Game of Terrorist Support
Dec 12, 2006 Political
After Israel kicked the snot our of Hezbollah in their recent conflict, the United Nations got involved and drew up resolutions. Those resolutions required Israel to cease hostilities and for Hezbollah to return the soldier they kidnapped. Hezbollah was also supposed to stop moving arms into the border region. Hezbollah has not complied with the resolution. This should come as no surprise because the Muslims never comply with UN resolutions and their transgressions are over looked by the hapless UN, a UN that allows Hezbollah to rearm right under its nose.
Last month an Israeli aircraft was nearly engaged by French military members who are on the border to “enforce” the resolution and ensure the cease fire remains intact. The French are ignoring the actions of Hezbollah just as the previous UN observers did (they were all killed when Hezbollah, in violation of the law, used their post to fire at the Israelis). Now, the French are flying drones in order to collect information for the Israeli Air Force. Israel said thanks but no thanks, they want to see for themselves what is going on. They make a good point and that is, until Hezbollah is forced to comply, they [the Israelis] are under no obligation to do so.
This is the scenario that has played out time and again. The Israelis and the Muslims get in a battle. The Arabs get their butts kicked and the UN makes resolutions (many of which are more restrictive to Israel) and then the Muslims ignore the resolutions and continue to wage war on Israel. France is now in the mix and they have indicated their troops have the right to fire on Israeli jets if they [the French] feel threatened by their actions. This would be a bad move on the part of the French because the Israelis have no objections to shooting back. A lot of French soldiers would be killed if they were stupid enough to shoot at the Israelis.
Israel is like the Lone Ranger in that part of the world. Every one of its neighbors wants to wipe the country out of existence and Iran is making that known more often and much louder than in the past. Israel can take any of those countries but when they start using nuclear weapons and other WMD, it will be up to the US, Israels Tonto, to ensure they win.
Will we finally have the nerve to use all out ruthless force to kill the cancer on this Earth known as Islam?

Cynthia McKinney Throws A Parting Shot (and not at a cop)
Dec 9, 2006 Political
Cynthia McKinney, the ousted Congresswoman from Georgia, has fired a parting shot at the President and at the new Democratic leadership by introducing a bill to impeach the President. The bill has no chance of passing but the moonbat racist, anti-Semite from Georgia had to try and stir up more controversy and make it tough for the incoming leaders.
McKinney maintains that Bush is not the legitimately elected President (she still can not get over the fact that he won) because she suffers from Bush Derangement Syndrome. She believes that Bush knew about the 9/11 attacks prior to the event and kept quiet so his business buddies could profit from the event. Of course, this is all mindless prattle from an idiot who thinks the world owes her because she is black. She is a thug, a criminal, and probably a gang banger (as in the street gang). She is absolutely enthralled with Tupac Shakur, the idiot rapper who was gunned down by rival gang members. McKinney has tried to establish a collection of the trash he sold as music in the National Archives and she tried to get a federal investigation into the death of Shakur.
I can clear this up for McKinney. Tupac was a gang member, thug, dope smoking, law breaking, thieving, murdering, waste of human flesh and he was killed because those were his good qualities. Obviously, McKinney likes that lifestyle and that is why she felt it was OK to punch a cop. She, of course, played the race card and charges were never filed and one has to wonder why. She is lucky that I was not he cop she punched. She would have found herself face down on the concrete with cuffs on having her rights read to her.
But what can anyone expect from a race baiter? McKinney uses the thugs from the Nation of Islam as body guards. These are a bunch of Islamic thugs who hate Jews and white people. When McKinney lost they spewed anti-Semitic and anti white words in front of the cameras and they threatened a Jewish news worker. McKinney is an idiot and she is a racist idiot at that. She hates white people and Jews and everything that happens, to her, is an act of oppression by whitey.
The article indicates that McKinney’s post Congress plans have not been revealed. I have an idea, she can join the circus and be a clown. With that hair of hers and that goofy look on her face she would not even need make-up. She could even get a role as Buckwheat if they remake the Little Rascals show. Look at that picture in the article and tell me she would not make a great Buckwheat (Otay Panky). It is interesting that it took the people for Georgia this long to can this stupid racist but at least she is gone. Now if we can only make that permanent.

No Substitute for Victory
Dec 8, 2006 Political
There is an excellent piece in The Objective Standard that will be published on 18 December. According to them, “For promotional purposes, we are making the following article available early and to all.” I have read it and it is a great article. It is rather lengthy but worth reading every word. The article is entitled “No Substitute for Victory†The Defeat of Islamic Totalitarianism and was written by John Lewis. According to Mr. Lewis; “This article was adapted from a lecture I presented at the Ayn Rand Institute’s OCON conference ‘The Jihad Against the West,’ in Boston, MA, on October 21, 2006.” Here is some of what Mr. Lewis wrote:
The Greek historian Thucydides, writing about the calamitous war that had destroyed his own world, made an important observation about the causes of historical events: Even though circumstances may change, human nature remains the same; and certain human elements—especially moral and psychological factors—are at the root of all wars. We can disagree with Thucydides about the identity of those factors, and reject his pessimistic view of human nature, but we will benefit from accepting his challenge to rise above particular circumstances and focus on the principles of human action that are common to all time. Differences in technology, politics, or economics will always remain secondary to the ideas that motivate aggressors to launch bloody attacks and that empower—or restrain—defenders opposing those attacks.
In that spirit, let us begin by considering an event of cataclysmic proportions, a deadly attack against Americans, and then examine two possible responses to it. This approach will show us that the crisis we face today—a series of highly motivated attacks against the heart of civilization—is not unique, can be understood, and can be ended—if we choose to understand and end it.
The attack under consideration kills thousands of Americans. Foreign governments, well known to us, have sponsored such attacks for years in their pursuit of a continental-scale totalitarian empire. The fire motivating the slaughter is a militaristic, religious-political ideology that values war as a demonstration of loyalty to a deity, demands obedience to its spokesmen, and imposes its edicts over millions of people. Thousands of individuals, indoctrinated as youths, are eager to engage in suicide attacks, and many more are willing to die through acquiescence and submission, should the state so demand. The enemy soldier is highly motivated, thoroughly brainwashed, and willing to die for his god and his cause. The enemy’s children and soldiers memorize words such as these:
The battlefield is where our army displays its true character, conquering whenever it attacks, winning whenever it engages in combat, in order to spread our deity’s reign far and wide, so that the enemy may look up in awe to his august virtues.1
They accept, as moral imperatives, ideas such as these:
[F]ight and slay the unbelievers wherever you find them, seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem of war; but if they repent, and practice our way, then accept them. . . . You shall fight back against those who do not believe in God, nor in the Last Day, nor do they prohibit what God and His messenger have prohibited, nor do they abide by the religion of truth.2
Millions of people embrace such injunctions as unquestioned commandments. Their suicidal attacks continue for years.
Big Dog Salute to Heidi of Eupohric Reality where you can read the rest of this great article.
I agree with the article and the author’s assessment 150% (and have been saying much the same thing since the war began).

Bush and Blair Joint Press Conference
Dec 8, 2006 Political
The press conference with President Bush and Prime Minister Tony Blair was an impassioned conference where the President was able to forcefully explain to a hapless reporter how he feels. It was professional yet assertive, unlike a certain former President’s unhinged outbursts on the Fox News Channel.

Credit Where it is Due
Dec 8, 2006 Political
I have often criticized the Congress for its short workweek. This year, the do nothings in the Congress managed to be in session (I did not say worked) 107 days and they failed to accomplish anything. People from both sides of the aisle can blame each other but they are all at fault. They start on Tuesday and end on Thursday and take extended holidays. That is all about to end for the US House of Representatives.
Incoming House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer has sent word that the House will work five days a week. He expects them to be there Monday for votes and they may not leave prior to 1400 on Friday. That is not exactly a five day workweek but it is a start. There are quite a few members who are not happy about this. They are whining about this cutting into their time at home.
“Keeping us up here eats away at families,” said Rep. Jack Kingston (R-Ga.), who typically flies home on Thursdays and returns to Washington on Tuesdays. “Marriages suffer. The Democrats could care less about families — that’s what this says.” Washington Post
Mr. Kingston, quit your whining and act like a man. Our military members have been away from their families for months on end and they do not whine like you. Additionally sir, they do not get paid the huge sum of money you do for the little work you produce. They get shot at for one tenth the pay. I might add that no one made you run for Congress. No one twisted your arm. You ran because you wanted to and you need to be there to WORK.
I understand that it is tough for the folks who do not live in a state that is close to DC. I also understand that these power hungry politicians took a conscious decision to run and that they need to be at work and earn the money we taxpayers are paying them. No one else in this country gets a workweek like they have and people are not free to take a job thousands of miles away and then miss time from work because of it. So to those who cry and complain I have a suggestion, either suck it up or resign.
I do not care for Mr. Hoyer but I have to give him credit for doing this. This has been a constant theme from me and he is addressing it. I have a feeling that the fact Hoyer lives in Maryland (right next to DC) made this an easy decision for him. He can leave Friday afternoon and be home before most others are on a plane. I am sure if he lived in California he would be singing a different tune but at this point, it does not matter to me so long as they are working more hours.
Hoyer mentioned that there would be no more long Memorial Day weekends (they take six days) but he did not mention the other holidays that they usually extend to a week. He also failed to mention the month long recess in August and the weeks off scattered throughout the year. He needs to take those away as well and keep these people on the job so that they can actually earn their paychecks.
It is often difficult for me to find any positive act by a Democrat (and some Republicans for that matter) but in this case I will say kudos to Hoyer for making the House actually come to work.
