If You Pay, They Will Come

When Hurricane Katrina made landfall and caused the damage to New Orleans the left was quick to jump on the Bush Administration as inept and unable to respond or help. They completely ignored the fact that FEMA is not a first responder and that the local officials, that is; Democrats, completely blew it. All blame was laid on the President by a well aimed effort of the media and the Democrats. The entertainment industry chipped in with the famous line by Kanye West, “Bush hates black people.” These are all pipe dreams and the President should have stood his ground. It might have been helpful if Republicans and people who know how to handle the media had gotten out and informed people of the truth. The images of stupid people who either did not have the sense to leave or were abandoned by their elected Democrats like Ray Nagin were too much for America and eventually people bought into the idea that the government is the savior and should be there on a moment’s notice and that personal responsibility was unimportant.
Bush rushed in with pledges of billions of dollars, money no one balked about spending like they do the money for the war, and he did this to appease people. The message was, we will throw money at this to help you. I wrote several posts at the time and indicated that not one red cent should go to the region until there was a method to account for the taxpayer money that was being spent on something that taxpayer money is not meant for. I was the voice calling for oversight because I know what happens when the government tries to be nice and give away other’s hard earned money. The conditions were set up for massive fraud and I hit that nail on the head. There is a report out today that at least a BILLION dollars has been lost to fraud. One thousand million dollars has been lost to fraud because the government, in its haste to appease people by throwing cash at them, had no method of oversight. This is how the government handles our money each and every day when they are not in crisis mode so anyone with a brain could see it was going to be a disaster.
The GAO cited incidents in which FEMA gave $17 million in housing assistance to individuals who had already obtained free housing in the form of trailers or apartments and $20 million that went to people who improperly claimed for help for both storms that ravaged the U.S. Gulf Coast area. al-Reuters
There were people who received money for housing even though they already had free places to live. They knew they were not entitled to the money and yet they took it. The government should find these people, get the money back and then give them free housing in a federal penitentiary. There were some who claimed to be victims of both hurricanes (Katrina and Rita) so they collected money for both. They need new accommodations as well. FEMA is not blameless in this fiasco but they have a hard situation to deal with. As soon as they try to cut funds or delay they are challenged in court and people clamor for their gubmint check. The public outcry and the lawsuits make it easier for them to just give up the money and forget about it.
FEMA needs to stop all assistance right now. They need to regroup and get a handle on how money is doled out and how it is accounted for. They need to ensure that they stop giving out our money to people who do not deserve it. This is the kind of corruption you get when people are made to believe they are entitled to something for nothing. This is what happens when an administration rushes to appease rather than assessing the situation and handling it properly (with regard to rebuilding and helping people). FEMA needs to involve the FBI and other law enforcement to track down the people who committed fraud and bring them to justice. FEMA also needs to hold off on any more hand outs until every penny is accounted for.
Put me in charge of the effort and I will fire people who are inept, be tough with slugs looking for handouts and I will make the people who lived in New Orleans go back there and work to rebuild it in return for the money they want. You want fiscal responsibility you keep politics and emotion out of the arena and you handle it like a business. All the Democrats in the world, the MSM, and the entertainment industry (especially Kanye) can call me any name they want while I am conducting business because as far as I am concerned, they can all get in line, behind the last person in line, to kiss my tail.
I recommend each of you contact your elected officials and let them know that you don’t appreciate having your hard earned money wasted.

Hillary Lied, Say It Isn’t So!

Hillary Clinton told everyone in the world (prior to the lat election) that she had not considered the presidency and that she was ONLY focused on winning reelection. This is the same mantra she chanted throughout her first term and she was evasive whenever she was asked if reelected, would she serve out her term. She answered by saying she was only focused on reelection but never said yes or no. Now that the election is over and Clinton won (she was never in any danger) she has begun the exploratory part of running for the White House. She has not directly said it but all of her actions are of a person planning on running for the White House. There is speculation that Clinton ramped up because of the people who have recently announced their intentions (she does not want them to build a head of steam). In the article about it, we see that she lied to everyone:

If she has not thought of it and was only focused on reelection, how can she be following a timetable that she has long planned? It would appear that Hillary has been planning this all along, as I stated from the outset, and all the while denying it. She lied about what she was doing, what she was focused on and what her intentions were. Does it really surprise anyone that Hillary Clinton is a LIAR?
Hillary Clinton is a cold, manipulating bitch and she does not care what she has to do or who she has to hurt in order to achieve her personal quest for power. She has been acting like a moderate and changing her positions on a number of issues in an attempt to take the edge off and to appear more electable to the moderates and those right of center. She has tried to cozy up to the military despite a lifelong hatred for it and she has planned all along how to take over this country. I hope there are enough people who recognize Satan or we will be in more trouble than we already are.

Democrats Do Not Support Strength

US Ambassador to the UN John Bolton announced that he will step down when his current term ends in a few weeks. Bolton was appointed by President Bush during a recess after the Senate failed in its duty to advise and consent and then give an up or down vote. Obstructive Democrats filibustered the nomination, as they have done with many of the President’s selections, and their objection to Bolton only means he does not stand a chance of confirmation when the Senate is controlled by the left in a few short weeks.
John Bolton is a tough guy who looks out for the interests of the United States, and that is where he rubs the Democrats the wrong way. They do not want people who will look out for our interests at the UN and would prefer someone who will agree with the UN agenda regardless of how it affects this country. The Democrats want the UN to be the nanny over this country as they [the Democrats] wish to be the nanny over its people. The UN is rife with corruption and most of the people in it spend time getting rich at the expense of those they are supposed to protect. Bolton was the guy who could have kept them honest while looking out for this country. The Democrats can have none of that.
By opposing Bolton the Democrats, and some Republicans like Lincoln Chaffee (we lost control but I am glad he is gone), have told the world we do not want to put people in the UN who will ensure what is right. There are those who question our authority to do so. The United States provides the most money to the UN and we let them have a nice place in New York. We pay the most and we should have the most say. Of course, the Democrats do not feel that way. Just as they feel the wealthiest among us should subsidize the rest of the population they feel we, as the wealthiest nation, should subsidize the UN and pick up the slack of other countries. Perhaps, the votes in the UN should be based on how much money countries pay in just like the number of votes in a company depends on how much stock one owns in that company. This would keep countries like China and Russia from stonewalling us and derailing our plans. Is it any wonder we need to go into countries to take care of business? After all, no one supports us and it is because those countries are as corrupt as the UN.
The reluctance of the Democrats to allow a man who is strong and supports our country to actually serve this country gives even more proof that they are not strong on national Security and that they do want us to go down in defeat, become subservient to the UN, or both. Two more years of obstruction and destruction, that is what the Democratic Party will give us.

Amnesty is on the Way

The unfortunate thing is that the Democrats won control of the Congress. That is unfortunate for America regardless of how many moonbats are happy about it. The moonbats are the ones pushing the same agenda that the elected Democrats are in favor of and an agenda that will certainly put us on the path of destruction. George Bush will help in part of this destruction because he favors giving criminals amnesty. Not all criminals, not American citizens who are criminals, but criminals who have entered this country ILLEGALLY.
The President is happy about one aspect of the last election and that is he now has a Congress supportive of giving amnesty. A story today in the Washington Times indicates that the Democrats will grant amnesty to the 12 to 20 million ILLEGALS who are sucking the life out of this country.
Congress will approve an immigration bill that will grant citizenship rights to most of the 12 million to 20 million illegal aliens in the U.S. after Democrats take control next month, predict both sides on Capitol Hill.
While Republicans have been largely splintered on the issue of immigration reform, Democrats have been fairly unified behind the principle that the illegals currently in the country should get citizenship rights without having to first leave the country.
“Years of dawdling have worsened our border security and made it harder to fix this broken system,” said Sen. Patrick J. Leahy, the Vermont Democrat who will lead the Judiciary Committee next year. “We should not let partisan politics and intolerance continue to delay and derail effective reform.” Washington Times
Leahy is an idiot and he fails to realize that the reason we have millions of ILLEGALS here now is because we granted amnesty to about 4 million of them years ago. When the short bus riders in the Congress allowed that to happen they promised that we would correct the problem that allowed them to come here in the first place. Years later nothing has been done and more people are crossing our borders because they figure one day they too will receive amnesty and get something for breaking the law that millions of others have gotten through blood, sweat, and tears. Leahy is part of the problem. He thinks we should give these people a free ride and let them become citizens and then we will fix the problem. This problem will not go away unless we secure the border and make those who broke the law pay for their transgressions.
The Democrats are salivating like Pavlov’s dog at the prospect of flooding the country with millions of potential voters because they know if they grant the amnesty their benefactors will repay them with votes, votes, votes, and they will be in power forever. The Democrats believe that it is their birthright to be in power and they will sell the very soul of this country in order to get in and stay in office. People who break the law should not be rewarded for doing so. It is absolutely true that you get more of what you pay for and if we pay ILLEGALS (with citizenship) for breaking the law then we will get more of them breaking the law. If we do not secure the border we will be flooded with more and more ILLEGALS as soon as they see that carrot of amnesty. We can not allow this to happen. We can not allow the federal government to usurp their authority and we can not allow them to give this country away. We can not allow them to sell out this country for personal gain. This is not in the best interests of the US.
I have a plan. If the Democrats in Congress allow these ILLEGALS to receive amnesty for breaking the law then every American who has some legal action pending or has a record needs to petition their Senators and Congressmen to forgive that indiscretion and clear that record up. If anyone has not paid their taxes in a few years now is the time to demand the same deal as they are giving the ILLEGALS. The Congress must grant amnesty to every American CITIZEN who needs it. If the Congress does not grant amnesty to every American who needs it then each one should file a lawsuit against the government and name their particular Senators and Representatives as defendants. There should be millions of lawsuits and the legal proceeding should tie up the legal system for years. If They do not give us amnesty then we riot in the streets, we refuse to pay taxes, we live in the shadows, just like the ILLEGALS they are rewarding with AMNESTY.
