Muslim Congressman Wages Jihad On Presidential Reception
Nov 15, 2006 Political
Incoming Congressman Keith Ellison snubbed President Bush and went to a reception hosted by the AFL-CIO instead. Ellison, the first Muslim ever to serve in Congress decided that it would be better to hang out with a bunch of union guys so he could get the stuffed ballot boxes next time rather than visit with the President.
“I went to the AFL-CIO reception, because I wanted to meet and greet leaders of labor, and get to know them,” Ellison, D-Minn., said in an interview during a break from freshman orientation Tuesday. “Those are the people who I came here to support.”
“It wasn’t even a close call,” added Ellison, who is replacing the retiring Rep. Martin Sabo, a Democrat. “Maybe one day I’ll get to meet the president. He’s the president, and I respect him in his role as the president, but I have exceedingly sharp differences with him on a policy level.” kare11 TV
I guess he does have exceedingly sharp differences. The President is a Christian who tries to live by the teachings of the Bible and Ellison is a Muslim who will be sworn in on the Koran, a book about the violent cult of Islam and its pedophile prophet, Mohammad. Ellison is a person to keep our eyes on. He has been at the conventions of the anti-American group CAIR and it was reported he attended meetings where there was a lot of anti-American sentiment from the Muzzies in attendance.
This man might be a mole and he might be the first in the plan of the cult of Islam to take over this country. One item on the list is to get Muslims elected to national office. We should be watching anyone who swears in on a book that calls for Sharia Law and we should ensure that anything he does is looked at to ensure that Sharia Law is not being sneaked into our system of justice.
I do not trust him and I think we should have little tolerance for him. If he gets out of hand then he should have to meet with the President so Bush can put an old fashioned Texas ass whipping on him.
Call this opinion what you will but the only Radical Muslim is the non-violent one, the violent ones are pretty much the norm.

Murtha Still Does Not See It As Corruption
Nov 14, 2006 Political
A quarter of a century ago Jack Murtha was involved in a corruption scandal known as ABSCAM. He was officially designated as the unindicted co-conspirator in a scheme where he tried to find clever ways to take a $50,000 bribe. When he turned against the others involved he came out of it without a conviction. He continues to this day to say he was innocent and evidently the idiots in his district believe him. Anyone who watches the full 57 minute (or so) film of the deal knows that Murtha was trying to find a clever way to take a bribe. He is dirty and has been so for his entire time in the House. It is amazing that when the Democrats were pointing fingers at corrupt Republicans it was fair game but now that members of his own party are questioning Pelosi’s support of him for majority Leader, he has taken offense.
“I am disconcerted that some are making headlines by resorting to unfounded allegations that occurred 26 years ago. I thought we were above this type of swift-boating attack. This is not how we restore integrity and civility to the United States Congress,” Murtha said of the ample press coverage of his link to Abscam and more recent negotiations he made as ranking Democrat on the Defense Appropriations Committee.
Murtha was not indicted in the bribes-for-political-favors probe and ultimately cleared of wrongdoing by the House ethics committee. But his raunchy language and open-ended option to consider a future deal with undercover FBI agents is forever captured on videotape.
The New York Times on Tuesday also reported that Murtha helped block changes in ethics policies that Democrats proposed last year and is known as “an astute backroom-deal maker known for trading votes for the pet projects known as earmarks. He has had family members who lobbied on issues under his control.” Fox News
Murtha is known as a back room deal maker who trades pork for votes. If this is known, where is the outrage that the Democrats showed at the idea that Mark Foley’s acts were known? Murtha says these are unfounded allegations so he must not have seen the same video tape that I saw. His actions are on that tape and it clearly shows he was trying to find a way to take the bribe. He also has his family members lobbying for issues under his control and he blocked changes to ethics policies. For those who say he was cleared of the charges, that is not unusual in Congress because regardless of party, they all look out for each other.
Pelosi’s support shows a lot about how she really views corruption reform and it says a lot about the Democratic Party in general.

Why So Quick Getting Abramoff in Jail?
Nov 14, 2006 Political
Jack Abramoff is not a threat to run away, or as they say a flight risk, or he would be gone already. He was convicted and sentenced some time ago and he is scheduled to go to jail tomorrow. Federal prosecutors say they want him out of jail for now because they need his help in the corruption investigations. They could leave him out and give him credit for the time he is helping the feds. Why are they so anxious to get him behind bars where it will be more cumbersome to get to him and find out more information. Perhaps:
Convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff is scheduled to report to federal prison tomorrow, over the objections of federal prosecutors who say they still need his help to pursue leads on officials he allegedly bribed.
Sources close to the investigation say Abramoff has provided information on his dealings with and campaign contributions and gifts to “dozens of members of Congress and staff,” including what Abramoff has reportedly described as “six to eight seriously corrupt Democratic senators.” [my emphasis] ABC News
Perhaps they want him in jail so the investigations will drag on and those corrupt Democrats will be old news by the time they are exposed. Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid all told us that only Republicans took Abramoff money and that they were what the doctor ordered to get things back on the up-and-up. It turns out, as I have said all along, that the corruptions crosses both aisles.
I am willing to bet that when these Democrats are exposed it will not be a big deal to the MSM or to the Democrats now running Congress. They hardly said anything about William Jefferson and he was caught with his hands in the till. They glossed over all the corruption that Reid is involved in and pointed fingers to the right. If I were Abramoff I would spout out the names the next time the cameras were in my face so that the American public would know who they are, though they would probably edit that out.

Economy Now Good, OK to Raise Taxes
Nov 14, 2006 Political
What is the first thing Democrats like to do when they are in control? Everyone all at once now, that’s right, raise taxes. It does not matter what promises they have made in order to get elected and it does not matter how much money the government is wasting, and it really does not matter to them that there is a good economy so long as they get to raise taxes. Like Pavlov’s dog, Democrats have a conditioned response to winning the majority and that response is raising taxes.
The economy is strong and has been for years. It is fueled by tax cuts that give people more of their money to spend and thus increases revenue to the treasury. In fact, inflation fell at a record pace in October of this year in part because of falling gas and new car prices. Speaking of gas prices, the Democrats were certain that the big oil companies were deliberately manipulating the price of gas in order to help Republicans. I heard more than one Democrat on talk shows asserting that this was the case and that gas prices would go up as soon as the election was over. It has been a week and the prices are still low. It is amazing how many so called smart people in government do not understand supply and demand.
Democrats have been telling people for the last few years that we have a terrible economy and that it looks good but there are no “real” jobs and wages are poor. The MSM trumpeted this claim as revenues to the treasury reached all time highs (the two records were set last September and this September). The tax cuts that Democrats claimed would send the economy into the tank had the opposite effect, as they always do. Now that Democrats are in charge, former Secretary of the Treasury under Clinton Robert Rubin, says that taxes need to be raised. This is unwise but Democrats need to raise money for the myriad of programs the want to enact. Universal health care and minimum wage increases will cost a great deal of money and politicians never decrease spending or cut pork so they need to look for, what they term as, alternative sources of revenue (which means increased taxes). Interestingly, Rubin made claims in 2003 that the economy was not strong enough for tax cuts and now that those cuts have given us a strong economy he is saying the economy is strong enough for a tax increase. Isn’t it amazing how quickly the economy gets better when Democrats are elected to the majority?
George H. W. Bush ran on a platform of no new taxes and committed political suicide when he broke that promise. He was snookered by Democrats who attached the increase to a women and children’s bill. He was put between a rock and a hard place because if he vetoed it they would claim he did not look out for needy women and children. he signed it and the rest is history. It appears that Democrats want to try much the same. According to the Wall Street Journal, Hillary Clinton and the Democrats would love to get a tax increase and take that off the table for the 2008 elections. George W. Bush would do well to learn from the mistake his father made and ensure he vetoes any tax increase regardless of what bill it is attached to, including spending for the war. He can send it back and explain to America that it contained a tax increase and that he is not going to raise taxes. If he signs a tax increase he will be playing into the Democrat’s hands and will put the chances of a Republican president in jeopardy for 2008.
Politicians in general have no fiscal responsibility. They have spent so many years spending money that they do not earn that they think there is an endless pot of cash sitting around ripe for picking. They all dole out huge sums of money in pork projects in order to secure reelection. Democrats specifically, never met a tax they didn’t hike and love to spend money like it is going out of style though many Republicans fell into this pattern over the last 12 years. All this bunk about tax cuts helping only the rich is mindless prattle. Tax cuts help the people in society who actually pay taxes. People who complained about not getting a refund check should start paying taxes and then they can get a refund when the taxes are lowered. Tax cuts, though not directly paid to those who pay no taxes, help those people nonetheless because the economy is stronger, there are more jobs and the price of most goods becomes more affordable. A strong, healthy economy helps everyone.
Hold on to your wallets because the Democrats are back in town. Fortunately we have a Republican president so the tax increases will not necessarily be automatic, assuming Bush has the testicular fortitude to veto any increase. If he allows taxes to go up then he proves that the apple does not fall far from the tree and, in my opinion, he should be taken to the town square and thoroughly thrashed.

Hillary Care Might Return
Nov 13, 2006 Political
Hillary Clinton, who has been running for the 2008 Presidency while denying what is so blatantly obvious that Stevie Wonder can see it, has described an aggressive agenda which includes the resurrection of universal health care. Hillary and the rest of the donks do not understand there is no Constitutional authority to provide such services to everyone but they never let the Constitution stop them from spending money illegally. It is the Liberal Utopian idea that the wealthy (read that as anyone who pays taxes) should pay for the items in life that others can not afford. Perhaps these folks should just be like the ILLEGAL aliens and go to the Emergency Room and not pay for the care.
Health care is available and the system we have, while not perfect, is a hell of a lot better than the one the libs like to point to, the one in Canada. Canada has such poor health care delivery that wealthy people come to the United States to get care for serious illness. People in the US want to adopt a government run system that would guarantee long waits and no choices. The US military already has a system just like it which is run by, the government. Ineffective with long waits and very few choices in who to see for treatment or what drugs are available for treatment.
I have never seen a person denied emergent care. Sure, they were billed later for the care, but at least they are alive to pay the bill. They can do what they do when they buy a car, or other major item, pay for it on time. Most institutions will allow people to pay over time. It is their bill, they should pay it. But, the libs would have the rest of us pay it. They will tell you that evil pharmaceutical companies and greedy doctors are responsible when the fact is their trial lawyer friends have caused the cost of health care to sky rocket.
Lawyers like John Edwards sue for everything. Somewhere around nineteen out of every twenty dollars spent on research is for litigation and juries routinely award huge sums for malpractice causing the insurance rates to be so restrictive that many doctors are leaving their practices. The sue happy country in which we live has caused the problems with the cost of health care.
I recommend we require all doctors who have student loans to serve a certain number of years in free clinics. People who use the clinics will have to show their income and prove they are really poor and they will be required to pay a nominal fee so as to discourage abuse. Doctors who lose their licenses for malpractice could be put on probation working in these clinics. If they do not screw up they can appeal the decision to remove their licenses. We can also take the doctors out of the penal system. Inmates get much better health care than the indigent so we can reverse that trend. I have seen jail health care and the inmates get all kinds of feel good pills at taxpayer expense. Give them an over the counter Motrin and make them pay for it. I would also check the status of every person entering a hospital for treatment (everyone means no profiling) and then refuse non-emergent cases and force those with emergencies to go to jail when they recuperate (not before because there will be no doctors in jail).
We will be in for a fun time as they try to pick our pockets. Those of us in the middle class who are “rich.” One last thing, take a look at the picture of Hillary in the linked article. Does it look like she sits on her ass too much? She has more chins than a Chinese phone book.
