Bill Clinton Epitome of Hypocrite
Nov 6, 2006 Political
The Democrats know that they might not take control and that voters will come to their senses when they weigh the choices and realize the consequences of a Democratic take-over. They are desperate so they brought out the former pervert in chief, Bill Clinton. Here is what the fondler had to say:
“They can’t run anything right,” countered former President Clinton, taunting Republicans about the war in Iraq, the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and even the scandal involving the House page program that complicated GOP efforts to win two more years in power.
Clinton has no right to criticize the war. He is the main reason we are in it and he dodged the draft when it was his turn. He proved that he was a coward when it was time for him to show that he really was a patriot. As for Katrina, even Bubba himself could not have stopped Mother Nature (though if he met her he would try to have sex with her). Perhaps though, the most hypocritical item he discussed was the page scandal that involved a Congressman sending obscene messages (notice that there was no sexual relations with that page). Who is Bill Clinton to criticize anyone for a sexual scandal?
Has he rewritten history so much that he forgot that he was involved in the biggest sex scandal in DC history? Has Clinton gone senile or did he just decide that what he did by having sex with Monica was not a scandal? Did he forget that he lied to the nation while wagging his finger and pronouncing that he did not have sex with that woman? I know Clinton is not running for office but I could not resist the opportunity to point out the desperation of the Democrats and the complete dishonesty and hypocritical nature of their savior.
These are the types of people who want to lead you. Foley resigned as soon as he was discovered. Clinton lied, lied again, and then had his wife claim Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. The Congressional Democrats (and sadly, some Republicans) stood behind him in support. He pulled out of Monica but he really should have pulled out of office. That blue dress was not the only thing he left a stain on and now he is out showing what a hypocrite he really is.

The Time Has Come To Stand Up and Be Counted
Nov 6, 2006 Political
Thirteen hours to go until the polls open on the East Coast and many races are still a toss-up. Democrats are poised to take control of the House and possibly the Senate. They have been encouraged by polls showing that they hold a lead over Republicans and they feel their time is now. The Democrats have not been in power since 1994 and they are hungry and they hope their hunger combined with dissatisfaction among Republicans will spell victory when the polls close tomorrow.
Some recent polls indicate that Republicans are closing some of the gaps and that some races have gone from leans Democrat to toss-up. This has worried some Democrats yet they remain confident that they can run the table and sweep into power. They have been fairly successful at running against George Bush and against the Republican Party but have offered little in the way of substance. They have no plan other than to criticize the way things are currently going. They conveniently forget that while some of the Republican’s problems are self inflicted many things have failed to materialize because the Democrats (those who are elected) have opposed anything that the Republicans have tried to accomplish. They have made it so that the Republicans have to fight the war on terror overseas as well as at home. People like Murtha, Kerry, and Pelosi are chomping at the bit for a chance to cut and run from the fight, a strategy that will surely embolden our enemies and lead to more attacks.
Tomorrow is the day that Republicans can set a clear path for the future. We as a people have control of the destiny of our country and we can effect change in this government but first we need to ensure that we keep control of both houses. The Democrats can not beat us if we all show up and vote. They can not win if we stand up and ensure that we are counted. Staying home or voting for the other party as a symbol of protest is harmful to us as a party and to our country as a whole. The Democrats will hurt us when they are in power and a year from now I would not want to be sitting at home lamenting over how bad things have gotten and wishing that I had voted or voted for the Republican.
The choices we make tomorrow are effective for two years until we get to vote again but the consequences of a loss can last for generations. Allowing the Democrats to take control of our country at this pivotal time in our history will lead to disastrous results and will last well past future elections. If we give up control tomorrow we will be sending a clear signal to the terrorists who believe that they can outlast us and boot us out of Iraq and Afghanistan much as they booted the Russians out of Afghanistan and us out of Somalia. Though there is enough blame to go around the simple fact is the cowardice of the last administration with regard to Somalia emboldened our enemies and gave us 9/11. If we lose our will again it will confirm their belief that we are a paper tiger and they will increase their attacks. Remember, the stated goal is to destroy America and if we allow the Democrats to gain control we will have helped the enemy effect our destruction.
I urge every Republican to get out to the polls tomorrow and to vote for our party. I know that they have let us down in some areas and we can address that in other venues. If we hurt them by voting them out we will in effect be hurting ourselves. We will, to use a cliche, be cutting off our noses to spite our faces. We can not and must not allow our country to fall into the hands of the likes of Kerry, Murtha, and Pelosi or we will have signed our own death warrants. When the dust settles and we still have control, then it will be time to address our grievances with our elected leaders. If we vote them out, we will not have the chance to change anything because the Democrats will ruin us. From the war on terror to judicial nominees, the Democrats will ruin this country and hand us over to the enemy and back up their schemes with activist judges. Besides, the terrorists want them to win and that should be enough to keep them out of the majority.
My plan calls for us to reelect our Republicans and then we start a grass roots campaign to let them know what we expect from them. They will have two years to straighten out their acts or we vote them out in the 2008 PRIMARIES. Then we can still vote in Republicans but they will be fresh faces with fresh ideas. In order to get to that point we need to keep them in office right now. We elected George Bush to lead us and though he has let us down in some areas we owe it to him to, once again, give him the people he needs to effectively govern this country.
GET OUT TOMORROW AND VOTE AS IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT BECAUSE IT DOES!

Hussein Verdict Sparks Mixed Reactions
Nov 6, 2006 Political
Saddam Hussein was responsible for a reign of terror on his people and neighboring countries for a very long time and that reign ended when US Forces dug him out of a hole in the ground. The second chapter in the end of the reign came yesterday when Hussein was sentenced to hang for crimes against humanity. Saddam Hussein thought nothing of executing people with whom he disagreed. He had family members killed and I have heard stories that the bones of infants were found in his tiger cages. Iraqis were experimented on and they were brutalized for having the nerve to disagree with their leader. The videos of people being shot in the head, having their arms broken, and fingers or hands cut off have circulated and only accentuate the horrors that this man perpetrated upon his people. One story tells of how one of Hussein’s staff answered in the affirmative when Saddam asked (rhetorically) “Should I step down?” For being honest the man was arrested and his wife begged Saddam to spare his life and send him home. Hussein agreed to send him home and that night she went outside and opened a bag that had his parts in it. Hussein had him cut into pieces and sent home. These are items that horrify most people and help us to agree that he deserved a death penalty and that he indeed needs to die.
However, Hussein has his supporters, in a manner of speaking. There are many who agree that Hussein was wrong and that he deserved to be found guilty but they do not agree that he should be executed. Tony Blair opposes the death penalty and stated that he does not think Hussein should be put to death. The European Union has chimed in to say that they do not agree with the death penalty under any circumstances.
“The EU opposes capital punishment in all cases and under all circumstances, and it should not be carried out in this case either,” Finland, current holder of the rotating EU presidency, said in a statement. al-Reuters
Additionally, Hussein found a familiar supporter here in the United States. The New York Times, a paper opposed to the death penalty, believes that Hussein’s execution should be delayed until he is tried for his other crimes against humanity. Several judges and lawyers connected to the recently concluded case were killed during the trial. I imagine the Times would be OK with more people being killed in another trial in order to spare the one person in all this that deserves to die.
The editorial called for deferring the death penalty “long enough to allow the completion of a second trial, in which Mr. Hussein is charged with ordering genocidal massacres against the Kurds.” Breitbart
What happens after this trial? Do they delay for the next trial, and the next? He has been found guilty and has been sentenced. He will go through whatever appeal process is available and then, if his appeal is not successful, he will be put to death. Why waste time and money and place more people at risk to hold more trials when he can only die once for his crimes? Interestingly the Times, a paper that opposes our intervention in Iraq, wants to intervene in the process that was carried out by the Iraqis themselves. This paper has been traitorous to the US and is now providing advice to a people that do not want or need it.
What exactly does a tyrant need to do to deserve the death penalty. The EU opposes the death penalty under any circumstance but I do not recall the countries of the EU (since this occurred before they were an EU) opposing the death penalty for Germans convicted of war crimes from WWII. I am sure there were those who opposed it, I have just not heard of them and if anyone has information on this I would welcome it.
The EU is full of American Allies (the Times is not) and though they seldom act like our friends, we still consider them allies. President Bush made no bones about the fact he agreed with the decision even though our friends do not like it. In a twist of irony, Iran agrees with the verdict. Who can blame them after the crimes Hussein committed by using chemical weapons on them in their eight year long war.
What a strange world it is indeed when a country that we are at odds with agrees with the same thing we do and our friends do not. Of course, many in the EU made a lot of money off Hussein so they are worried about losing their business partner (in crime).

Marylanders Should Vote Against Ballot Question 4
Nov 5, 2006 Political
Paul Jacob has an interesting item at Town Hall that deals with a ballot measure in Los Angeles. Basically, the ballot measure is disguised as an ethics in government bill that is actually an anti-term limit bill. The politicians are trying to get people to vote against term limits by portraying the bill as ethics legislation and by hiding the term limit information. That in and of it self is not ethical but what do you expect from politicians? The ethics items in the bill are already required by law so the exercise is a game of deception to dupe the voters.
I am never in favor of voting on these ballot measures because they never send you the entire text of the item on which they want you to vote. The part on the ballot is always a snippet and, like in LA, they can mask the bad parts of the bill and dupe people into voting for something bad. They should provide the entire item and allow people to read through it to ensure they have appropriate information. The government should be required to pay for lawyers to explain it to us before we vote on it. If it is that important then we deserve to know what it is.
One such ballot measure in Maryland is Question 4 which deals with election law revisions. This bill was originally passed by the legislature as emergency legislation. The emergency was that a Republican is in the Governor’s mansion and they want to change that. The original law allowed early voting but only in some areas of the state. Those areas were all heavily Democratic so the effort was a blatant attempt to give Democrats in certain areas a leg up on the election and to discriminate against Republicans. This item also allowed a number of ways to vote including voting out of one’s regular polling place. These items were all open to a great deal of fraud and yet, in their desire to regain power, the Democrats decided it was OK.
Governor Ehrlich vetoed this “emergency” legislation and that veto was promptly overridden by the Democrats in Annapolis. The courts here in Maryland shot down the early voting portion of the bill as being unconstitutional. However, the items not shot down went into effect and there had been enough signatures to place it on the ballot so it is there. All Marylanders should vote against Question 4 and reject all of the remaining items. If a portion of it was bad enough to be shot down in court then the whole thing can go back to the drawing board.
It is also unwise for Marylanders to ever vote on something that has a statewide impact but will only apply to a portion of the population. If Democrats think early voting is good then it should be good for everyone and not just those in heavily Democratic parts of the state. Unfortunately, Marylanders have a legislative body that does not care about fairness or the will of the people. This body only cares about power and they will do anything to achieve it and to keep it.
Marylanders can end some of that problem on Tuesday by voting Republicans in to office across the state. Even if Republicans do not have a majority they should have enough representation to keep the Legislature from being veto proof. Marylanders deserve to have people in office who will actually work for the people and not the special interests. Despite the lies you hear from them, it was those very Democrats who gave Maryland the electrical energy crisis and it was those very Democrats who have been overturned at least 7 times by the courts.
Isn’t it time to have proper representation in Maryland? Vote NO on Question 4 and vote for Republicans for state office. For those of you reading across the country. Take a look at Maryland politics and see how poorly it is run by the Democrats. This is what it will be like if you put them in office at the National level. Screwed up and screwed up a lot.
If any Maryland Democrat from the Maryland House or Senate cares to discuss this or any other issue I will be happy to discuss anything with you on my radio show at Wide Awakes Radio. You can contact me via the contact form and I will be happy to set something up. But come prepared because I will not let you blow smoke. You won’t get a pass at the on the Dog’s show.

A Strong Senate Equals a Strong Judiciary
Nov 5, 2006 Political
Video from Justin at Right on the Right. Voice over by Dave of Total Kaos. Both of these talented folks are fellow Wide Awakes Radio personalities.
This election is about more than rebuking the Republicans, or showing dissatisfaction with the President. This election has far reaching consequences. Not only does a Democratic win put them in a position to pull out of Iraq, make us less safe, and pursue an agenda of liberalism, it also allows them to affect the judicial system. We do not need another Ruth Ginsberg on the bench. We do not need liberals deciding who gets to sit on that bench. If we allow that then we will have several more decades of flawed judicial decisions.
Vote Republican as if your future depends on it, because it does.
