Voting linked to taxes…
Walter Williams has made a bold statement but it is something I have said for some time. He does a great job of explaining it:
I’m not proposing that we take voting rights away from those who do not pay taxes. What I’m suggesting is that every American gets one vote in every federal election, plus another vote for each $20,000 he pays in federal taxes. With such a system, there’d be a modicum of linkage between one’s financial stake in our country and his decision-making right. Of course, unequal voting power could be reduced by legislating lower taxes.
This is not a far-out idea. The founders worried about it. James Madison’s concern about class warfare between the rich and the poor led him to favor the House of Representatives being elected by the people at large and the Senate elected by property owners. He said, “It is nevertheless certain, that there are various ways in which the rich may oppress the poor; in which property may oppress liberty; and that the world is filled with examples. It is necessary that the poor should have a defense against the danger. On the other hand, the danger to the holders of property cannot be disguised, if they be undefended against a majority without property.” Jewish World Review
Makes perfectly good sense. If you have more skin in the game (or as Biden would put it, if you are more patriotic) then you should have more of a say in how things are run. It would force politicians to new ways of thinking. One way might be to lower taxes so we all only have one vote…
Obama and state run media incite black man to commit violence
A white supremacist was beaten to death by a black guy. How ironic is that? According to the article, the white guy kept to himself in his neighborhood and had protested different things but never amounted to much in the supremacist movement and the black guy was a criminal who served time in jail for assaulting a police officer.
The police found the supremacist, Richard Barrett, after he was stabbed and beaten to death and then set on fire. Police arrested a neighbor, Vincent McGee, (who had done work for Barrett) and charged him with the murder. Here is the interesting part:
[Sheriff Ron] Pennington did not disclose a motive but said neighbour (sic) Vincent McGee, 22, was charged with murder on Thursday and deputies charged three other people in the case on Friday. Daily Mail UK
I can tell you the motive, McGee is a racist and he was incited by the rhetoric of Barack Obama (if they bring a knife, you bring a gun) and the state run media. For some time now Obama and his state run media have told us that anyone who opposes them is a racist and that they are dangerous and could commit violent acts. After hearing all this rhetoric from Obama and the state run media, McGee decided that he needed to get the racist before the racist got him. This is a direct result of Obama and the state run media using inflammatory language and causing the fringe elements to go berserk.
And since it was a black guy killing a white guy it had to be racism. We all know that if this white supremacist had killed the black guy Clinton, Obama and the state run media would be talking about Beck, Limbaugh, and Palin inciting him to violence and how this is an act of racism.
Well, the truth must be the same when the roles are reversed.
What to do about violence?
Two lawmakers in Illinois want the governor to activate the National Guard and have them perform police duties because of all the crime and gun violence in Chicago. Officials are even more concerned that since warm weather is upon us the number of murders will increase. Seems that Chicago has more death and violence than an actual war zone and the police are unable to do anything about the violence.
It must be an election year because these bozos are trying to show their concern for the citizens. They are at wit’s end with the problem they created and now they want to activate a military force to handle it. Not a wise idea. Let the police handle it, let the politicians handle it but keep the military out. I would love to see the military go in to neighborhoods and wipe out gangs but that is not their job and they will be set up for failure. The minute they kill some thug in a shootout the same politicians who put them there will scream about what they did and then yell torture and Abu Ghraib and then blame it all on George Bush.
Besides, how credible is this information concerning violence? Chicago has one of the most stringent gun laws in the country so no one is using guns to kill people. They can’t be because they cannot buy guns, they cannot carry guns, and they have a hard time keeping guns in the home. The only people who can carry guns are politicians who tell the rest of us that they are not necessary and others who have greased the correct political palms. No one is buying guns elsewhere and bringing them in because there are laws against that as well. Laws always work because criminals have a lot of respect for the law and law enforcement. They would never consider buying guns illegally or carrying them illegally or importing them illegally because there are laws against that and liberals tell us that gun laws work.
Nope, Chicago has no gun crime and no murders by gun because guns are practically banned there. This must be some election year stunt to get the National Guard on all the streets to make people feel safer and have them believe that their government is there for them.
I wonder what would happen in Chicago if the state of Illinois allowed law abiding citizens to carry concealed firearms. They should probably give that a try since the way they are doing it seems not to be working. Seems to me it would be a lot cheaper than calling out the Guard.
Crime would go down fast.
One other thing they might consider and that is letting gangs have shootouts with each other. Put them all in an abandoned part of town and let them have gun battles with each other. If they are hell bent on killing each other then why stop it? We do not need them and putting them in jail does not seem to curb gang violence so just let them kill each other off.
Keep the people of Mississippi in your prayers
A number of people were killed and many more impacted by a tornado that touched down in the Yazoo County area. Keep these folks in your prayers.
Never surrender, never submit.

Former ACORN Head Is A Socialist
Apr 22, 2010 Political
The former head of the now defunct organization ACORN is screaming racism and warning those mush heads who listen to her that things are worse now than they were during Jim Crow and the internment of Japanese Americans during WWII. She is spouting the liberal line that the TEA Party movement is full of racists who will take off their masks and come after black folks.
What a load of horse dung.
This moron has no clue whatsoever. To her ACORN lost federal funds (the Second Circuit Court of Appeals reinstated that ban) and disbanded because of racist white people. The fact that ACORN was involved in criminal activity never crossed her mind as a possible reason that the organization ran into trouble. Voter registration fraud, voter fraud, assisting people with tax evasion, prostitution, and importing minors for prostitution were all committed by members of her organization. Of this there is no doubt.
But that is not the reason ACORN had problems. No, it has to be racist white America.
Bertha also told the crowd that she is a Socialist and she stated that it is OK with her when groups tell her they are young, Democrat, and Socialist (as if there is a difference between a Democrat and a Socialist). That is all well and good. This is America and she can be what she wants but what she cannot do is slander other Americans by painting them as racists because she lacked the integrity to run her organization in an ethical manner.
Lewis also took a shot at the TEA Party movement referring to it as a “bowel movement.”
Ha Ha, how very juvenile. Is there any wonder why people do not take her or her former organization seriously?
The only bowel movement I saw was the one being executed when she was talking crap because it is obvious that this moron talks out her anus.
Which might not be all that impressive considering that her head is up there.

These Are My People; Americans
Apr 16, 2010 Political
The talk about the TEA Party movement is that it is filled with racists, those opposed to Barack Obama’s agenda because he is a black man. The thought never crosses the minds of the MSM that perhaps the people are opposed to his policies and his agenda.
During TEA Party gatherings the MSM looks long and hard for the one person who says something wrong or has an inappropriate sign. Those folks might belong to the gathering or not but are always used to broad brush the entire movement as racist haters. Blacks who attend the TEA Parties are looked at as sell outs or misguided people and they are asked about feeling out of place.
One such interview took place yesterday by an NBC reporter who asked a black man if he felt uncomfortable. His answer is priceless and is an example of the TEA Party members.
The answer was; “No, no, these are my people, Americans.”
And that is the rest of the story.
Never surrender, never submit.

Who Are The Racists?
Apr 6, 2010 Political
The left is pretty quick to scream racism regardless of whether it actually exists or not. Disagree with Obama, racist. Disagree with health care reform, racist, member of the TEA Party, racist. They see racism everywhere that a conservative walks but are blind to the racism that exists among their ranks.
Let me be clear, there is no place for racism from either party or from any individual or group in this country. We are a nation of diverse people which is one of our greatest strengths. This nation is perhaps one of the only ones in the world where so many different kinds of people live together and we achieve so much because of our diversity.
There is also no room for the phony calls of racism as a weapon to silence dissent. During Health Care Sunday in Washington DC the race card was used after Nancy Pelosi and members of the Congressional Black Caucus attempted to provoke TEA Party members. When that did not work they fabricated an incident of racism. There were claims that black lawmakers were spat upon and called the N word (15 times no less). There is absolutely no video or audio evidence that this happened. It appears to be a coordinated effort among different factions to fabricate the entire thing in order to marginalize the TEA Party members. Doug Ross has the time line of a TEA Party smear.
What is not fabricated is the absolute hatred of any black conservative. Blacks who happen to be conservative are called Oreos, Uncle Toms and sell outs. They are viewed as having left the Democrat plantation and as people who betrayed the Democrats and their race.
They’ve been called Oreos, traitors and Uncle Toms, and are used to having to defend their values. Now black conservatives are really taking heat for their involvement in the mostly white tea party movement—and for having the audacity to oppose the policies of the nation’s first black president.
“I’ve been told I hate myself. I’ve been called an Uncle Tom. I’ve been told I’m a spook at the door,” said Timothy F. Johnson, chairman of the Frederick Douglass Foundation, a group of black conservatives who support free market principles and limited government. Breitbart
Black conservatives are embracing the TEA Party movement and feel at home among the mostly white crowd because they know that the people there do not care about race and that we all, as AMERICANS, share the same goal.
The hatred and the racism comes from the left as they work to marginalize black conservatives. My good friend Lloyd Marcus is a black conservative and he has been attacked from the left because of his beliefs. I am proud to call him my friend and know he is firm in his beliefs.
Another black conservative who is comfortable among the TEA Party members is Angela McGlowan. She is running for Congress in Mississippi’s First Congressional District and I think she will be a welcome addition to the Congress. If you are interested in learning more about her or contributing to her campaign, her website is here.
The American landscape is changing because of the radical Obama regime in DC. He promised us change and now it looks like that change is more black conservatives running for office.
They will certainly get the support of conservatives. I don’t expect liberals to support them but I do wonder how long it will be before the left starts spewing their racist rants about them.
And they say conservatives are racists.
Never surrender, never submit.

How Black Republicans Feel About What Reid Said
Jan 11, 2010 Political
From Frances Rice, NBRA:
Wielding a sharp racial sword, Democrats ruthlessly destroy the careers of Republicans on racial matters, accepting no apologies. Yet, using a glaring double standard, those same Democrats quickly give a pass to any Democrat, such as Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid who again displayed egregious racism.
Hardly a ripple of protest was made in 2004 when Reid shamelessly slurred Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas as an incompetent Negro who could not write good English. “Slap at Thomas stinks of racism,” was the headline of the New York Daily News’ December 7, 2004 editorial.
Now, Reid has described then-Senator Barack Obama as “light skinned” and “with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.” With this racial slur, Reid denigrates not only Obama, but also the entire population of black Americans as being uneducated Negroes who cannot speak standard English, the same type of disgusting remark he made over five years ago about Justice Thomas, a graduate of Yale Law School. A tribute to Justice Thomas [link in original] that includes details about his stellar career is posted on the NBRA website. Read the rest
It strikes me that Al Sharpton said Reid’s comments disturbed him but that it was not the same as what Lott said. Lott was praising a 100 year old man and he made the comment that if Thurmond had been elected in 1948 we would not have these problems. It is only speculation as to what Lott meant but he apologized all over for offending people. Though Diane Feinstein says no Democrats jumped up and down about it she was actually one of those who did as did Barack Obama. How is it that Reid’s apology allows him a pass and Lott’s did not?
I remember Barack Obama saying that he could not be accountable for his association with a man who did despicable things when he (Barack) was only 8 years old. When Strom Thurmond ran for the presidency in 1948 Lott was 7 years old.
How can we hold him accountable for what he said about a guy who ran for president under segregation when Lott was only 7 unless we can now believe that Obama is guilty by association with Ayers?
What Lott said was wrong depending on what he meant. He never explained that. What Reid said was wrong unless he can tell us not what he meant, that has been explained, but whether he also holds those beliefs. If this had been Reid’s only foray into the world of racism then it might be excused but, as the NBRA piece points out, Reid made a racist remark about Justice Thomas.
The other thing that people miss in this is the implication of what Reid said and that is that Obama is attractive because he is not your typical black guy (before you lefties call that racist remember you gave Obama a pass on the typical white person remark).
The explanation is that Reid was saying that Obama was attractive to Americans because he is light skinned and does not speak negro. Does this not mean he believes that the racists in America will not vote for a dark skinned person who speaks negro, whatever that is.
Americans will vote for a person who can lead regardless of color (and as has been shown with Obama and Carter, they will vote for someone who can’t lead regardless of color). And since the left bashed Bush daily about his manner of speech we have to assume that speech is not a big issue with regard to getting elected.
I wish Reid were held to the same standards as a Republican but that is never going to happen as long as liberals continue to excuse racism from the left. So, since he will not be forced to step down, it will be just as much fun watching this brain damaged moron bumble his way through life and it will be even more fun watching him be removed by the voters.
Barack Obama said it would be up to Republicans to drive Lott out. They did but as Obama showed by accepting Reid’s apology, he does not hold Democrats to the same standard.
Maybe when it is all said and done Obama can have a beer summit with Reid and invite Robert Byrd to explain racism and the history of the Democrat organization known as the KKK.
Might be a bit much to ask since Reid and Byrd might expect Obama to serve the beer. After all, a few years ago he would have been getting Bill Clinton and Ted Kennedy coffee…
