Want To Know How Screwed Up America Is?
Jun 24, 2014 Commentary, Political
America is on the way down spiraling out of control and the people who are supposed to be in charge, THE PEOPLE, are letting it happen. Voter turn out in Maryland was abysmal and two members of Congress from other states who should be in the old age home have been reelected.
Thad Cochran won his runoff election by soliciting votes from Democrats. You read that right, a Republican appealed to Democrats (Mississippi has an open election) to help him win reelection. There is no way this buffoon would have won if he relied on constituents in his party. This RINO behavior is why there was a big push to get rid of him. The uneducated low information morons in the state answered his call and helped him out. Of course another worthless POS, John McCain, showed up to campaign for him.
Cochran is everything the TEA Party opposes and with the help of Democrats he was reelected. Remember this in the general election Republicans. Vote for the other guy. You see, Democrats supported Cochran and helped him in the primary but they will vote Democrat in the general election. If you want to show Thad how much you appreciate him vote Democrat. Screw taking the Senate back if it means keeping this puke. The next time people tell you we have a two party system remind them of this race. There is no difference between the two.
The ethically challenged Rangel who is in his 80s and has been in Congress for 44 years was reelected. It appears as if the people in his district are OK with his criminal activity and ethical challenges. He has been abusing the system for decades and takes advantage of every perk there is. He loves living off your hard earned money.
He is a slick talking mac daddy who shows that you can take the man out of the ghetto but you can’t take the ghetto out of the man.
America is full of people who can’t pour water out of a bucket if the directions are written on the bottom. They pull levers based on name recognition and the letter next to the name (and this goes for both parties). They all think about what the guy promised to give them rather than what is best for the country.
Face it, the seat Rangel holds would still be Democrat based on the district. If the district had voted in a younger person who has not lived on government welfare (that is what a lifetime job in Congress is) they still would have had a Democrat in the seat. But they chose a guy who has committed illegal acts that resulted in his censure but would have certainly landed the rest of us in jail. He is a liar and a criminal and the people in his district still voted him back in office.
The only thing working in our favor is the age of these folks. Rangel and Cochran are in their 80s so the Grim Reaper will be visiting them soon.
When he gets there he can take McCain, Mikulski, and the rest of the lifers with him.
Too harsh? I think not. The only way to get rid of them is for them to die off so just think of it as G-d casting a ballot on the issue…
We are in a serious decline and we will be in serious trouble as long as idiots are allowed to vote and criminals are allowed to hold office.
Cave canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

Enforcers At The IRS Harass $10 An Hour Worker
Dec 7, 2009 Political
A hair stylist in Seattle who makes fewer than $20,000 a year was recently investigated by the IRS because the government organization claims that she does not make enough money to live where she does. According to the IRS, Rachel Porcaro, cannot possibly be living on her low wages and they have determined that she is not making enough to provide for her children so she is losing her earned income credit.
I am no fan of the EIC but it is legal and if she is entitled to it, she should get it. But the IRS is convinced that she makes too little and they believe she must have unclaimed income.
Porcaro lives with her parents and does not live a lavish lifestyle. The IRS spent tens of thousands of taxpayer dollars in order to get a little more than a thousand dollars from Porcaro. That is efficiency at its finest. To top it off, Porcaro and her family are out thousands of dollars because they racked up bills defending against the harassment.
Why is it that a guy like Tim Geithner can deliberately not pay his taxes and he does not get fined or put in jail but a $10 an hour worker is harassed by the IRS? The same is true for Charlie Rangel who is a tax cheat. Why does not the IRS spend more time going after real tax cheats (just look at the Obama administration or Congress for that matter) and leave hard working people alone.
Obviously if this woman or any other taxpayer is breaking the law then the IRS has a duty to check it out but people in this income pay NO taxes. Why harass them when there are people skirting the tax laws everyday?
We need to abolish the IRS and simplify the tax code so that everyone pays a piece of the bill and we need to eliminate things like the EIC that allows people who pay NO taxes to get money back. This is backdoor welfare.
But until we do just that, this woman and many more like her are living on what they make and filing taxes in accordance with the law.
H&R Block did her taxes so it is not like she cheated them. Besides, she pays no taxes so how could she cheat anyone?
As for her kids, neither she nor her parents can claim any EIC. She cannot claim her kids because the IRS says she can’t possibly be taking care of them.
And yet she is.
Government idiocy at its best.
Hey IRS, go pick on the tax cheats in government and leave the hard working folks who try to obey the laws alone.

Liberal Doesn’t Mean Legal
Oct 10, 2009 Political
Well, you can tell whose party is who’s- Republicans, when they are caught in illegal shenanigans, are prosecuted- and leave office. When liberals, or Democrats, or socialists are caught in some nefarious scheme, they double down on the bad behavior. Such is the case of Charlie Rangel, the head of the committee that writes the tax code- the patron saint of CPAs.
Apparently he can’t read his own tax code, or even hire anyone to help his decrepit butt to do so. As a result, he finds himself embroiled in a mysterious “ethics investigation” that was supposed to be over and done a year ago, but as usual, the Libs are dragging their feet.
Rep. Charles B. Rangel (D-N.Y.) sat stone-faced as the House chamber buzzed around him, preparing to vote on a measure that could partly undo his almost four decades of work in Congress.
As Republicans pressed their attempt to remove him from his perch as chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, Democrats stood by Rangel — who is under investigation for a series of alleged violations that include improperly occupying several rent-controlled New York City apartments and not disclosing a laundry list of income and assets — and deflected the measure to committee.
washingtonpost.com
Of course Dems stood by him- they do not want to lose such an accomplished crook- they still have so much to learn at the feet of a master scam artist. His range is so exquisite- from apartments that are rent- controlled, to a slew of automobiles, to vacation paradises he claims he “knew nothing about”. Yeah- right!
The Republican-sponsored resolution said Rangel was unfit to serve as the chairman of the powerful committee that writes tax laws while he remains under investigation. Democrats blocked the move, sending the resolution by Rep. John Carter(Tex.) to the ethics committee and saying Congress should not act until that panel completes its investigation.
The resolution was the fourth attempt by Republicans in the past 16 months to censure Rangel or strip him of his committee chairmanship. House Republican leaders pushed their members to back the resolution against the Harlem lawmaker, arguing that his conduct violated pledges from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) in 2006 to oversee the “most ethical Congress in history” and end what she called “the culture of corruption” when Republicans ruled the House.
washingtonpost.com
Oh Snap! You didn’t think that Nanny Pelosi actually meant what she said, did you? You silly wabbit! Tricks are for libs.
Republicans keep trying to make Demmies do the right thing, something apparently very permissive and negligent parents never taught these people- morality- but these libs are resistant to doing the right thing. If they were a horse I was trying to make ridable, well, I would have given up by now and sent these to the slaughterhouse, because that would be all they would be good for- dog food.
In an occurrence rarely seen on the House floor, Carter read his resolution — nine pages and more than 2,000 words. While other members talked to aides or read, Rangel sat silent and expressionless in the first row on the Democratic side of the aisle, eyes fixed on Carter.
“We can already hear the defense of the next tax deadbeat called into court. ‘If Charlie Rangel doesn’t have to pay his taxes, why should I?’ ” Carter said, quoting from an editorial in the New Haven Register.
Carter listed nearly every allegation against Rangel, who himself called for the ethics committee to examine his conduct last year. Rangel admitted last month that he failed to report more than $500,000 in assets on his 2007 federal disclosure forms. Last year, he acknowledged failing to disclose and pay taxes on at least $75,000 in rental income from a villa in the Dominican Republic that he has owned.
He has been accused of improperly using congressional stationery to solicit donations for an academic center bearing his name at the City College of New York and attending a conference last year in St. Martin that was paid for by donors who employ lobbyists, a violation of House rules.
washingtonpost.com
He has flouted House rules with seeming abandon, and apparent glee- the rules do not apply to him- he has stolen money from the Federal government, plain and simple, and if it was you or I, we would already be behind bars, worrying about picking up the soap in the showers. Not Good Time Charlie. The rest of his posse, all as guilty as he, rally behind the Head of the Ways and Means Committee. Yep he has both the ways AND the means, and the rest of the Dems (and some Republican turncoats too) protect him.
On a list of reasons why people do not trust their government, Charlie Rangel has to be real close to the top, with John Murtha close behind.
And a whole bunch of libs bringing up the rear- their preferred position.
They will always be behind you- 100%.

The Wealthy Will Be Tapped To Pay For health Care
Jul 8, 2009 Political
How many ways can the wealthy (those making more than 200k or 250 k depending upon who in the administration is speaking) be taxed to provide for all the grandiose schemes that Obama has come up with? It has already been shown that if all the income of all the wealthy were completely confiscated it would not pay for the massive increases in spending so taxes will trickle down to those below the stated threshold.
The Obama administration (in its redistribute the wealth philosophy) keeps talking about raising taxes on the wealthy as a method to pay for “things.” It is a given that their regular income taxes will increase though Obama has delayed that until 2011 (just after the midterm elections). Now the House Ways and Means Committee is looking at adding a surtax to the wealthy as a way to pay for health care. The surtax, favored by tax CHEAT Charlie Rangel, will be applied to adjusted gross income before any itemized deductions are allowed.
So what we have is a person making over 250k who already pays taxes at the highest tax rate. Then, the government will raise that tax rate on these people so that they will pay more in income taxes. Then, to add insult to injury, the government will add a surtax to the AGI of these same people who pay about half of the taxes in this country (the data breaks down at 1% and 5% where 200k would be at about 3%). The bottom 50% of wage earners, by contrast, pay only 2.99% of the income taxes in this country and yet that group stands to benefit the most from the health care plan.
The “rich” (and 250k is by no means rich) are a tapped out resource. They are continually robbed of their money in order to pay for schemes that Congress devises. They are robbed of their money by people who do not pay their own taxes and then that money is redistributed to pay for the well being of others. It is not the job of the rich to pay the bills of the poor. If a person does not pay his own way he should be deprived of the vote. One should not be allowed to vote in a system which benefits him financially when he does not contribute, has nothing to lose and when he lives on the largess of the wealthy people in the country.
Is it any wonder that people who make just over the 250k mark are looking for ways to reduce income to avoid taxes?
Why should they continually pay for schemes that Congress comes up with?
How long will they continue to be raped before the backlash comes?
One way or another we are going to hit a tipping point where people say enough is enough and then things are going to get very, very nasty.
We can start being nasty by voting all these people out of office.
Tax and spend is no way to run the country.

The Rangel Rope-A-Dope
Jun 14, 2009 Political
Charlie Rangel and his Democrat buddies are working on the Obama health care plan. The plan is supposed to provide health care coverage (we all have access) to those who have no health insurance. The actual number of people who have no health insurance is about a quarter of what politicians report because their numbers include people who have access but choose not to have it, are not entitled (illegals), and those who were without for a short period of time (like in between jobs and elected not to take the COBRA extension). The numbers also include those who are eligible for already available assistance but, for whatever reason, have not signed up.
The Democrats want to rush this trough like they did the bogus stimulus package so that people do not have time to react. They want to have this in place quickly before people find out what it costs and what it involves. Democrats will use sleight of hand and trickery to gain acceptance. They will display a grandiose health plan and talk about all the bells and whistles and how wonderful it will be but they will not talk about how it will be paid for. Sure, they will claim it saves money or that we can afford it by taxing the rich or other such nonsense but they will not discuss specifics. Charlie Rangel wants to make people feel real good about it all before he hammers them with the specifics. He must believe that once people are thrilled they will be less likely to oppose any method to pay for it. The only ones who will not oppose are the ones who won’t pay for it anyway.
In other words, they will not be discussing the $600 BILLION in tax increases required to pay for this monster. We cannot get that much money by taxing the rich so taxes will involve a lot of other folks. First they will consider taxing the health benefits that employers provide. Then they will continue to add taxes until they have forced everyone into government care or until the plan has grown into a monster like Medicare which is more expensive than private run insurance (the 2-3% operating costs are lies) and is less efficient. Rangel said he wants to butter people up before hitting them with the tax bill:
Rangel said that while House Democrats will likely release more details about health policy changes in their legislation next week, the package of offsetting tax increases and spending cuts likely will come later. Democrats, he said, want to put forth the more-positive aspects of an overhaul first. Rangel also wants to let lawmakers have time to study and weigh in on proposed offsets.
“We have a problem in not wanting to attract enough negative attention to the bill in terms of the pay-fors,” he said. “Let them get a good feel for the coverage.” Bloomberg
They have a problem in not wanting to attract enough negative attention to the bill in terms of the pay-fors. That means he does not want to put emphasis on how it will be paid for because it will garner negative attention, as it should. Rangel and his buddies, as indicated above, will roll out the plan without specifics regarding costs and then, later, hit us with the particulars on the cost.
They can’t let a crisis go to waste by telling us the truth because we might get negative.
The government does not belong in health care. It cannot run anything efficiently and it cannot run anything effectively. Everything government touches becomes bloated and suffers cost overruns.
Obama wants this rushed through. He and the Democrats are rushing head first into this with little regard to the consequences. They are going for this without long and proper debates reagrding the pros and cons of any government devised system. They are forcing their will on us.
Will it take a revolution before these people understand that they work for us? Will it take a revolution before they understand that we want smaller, limited government?
Anyone who does not pay taxes and ends up getting free health care (paid for by the tax payers) should have to work every weekend cleaning streets, picking up trash, cutting grass and cleaning graffiti.
When I was a kid my dad would make me get a certain kind of haircut. He said if he was paying for it he got to decide on the style. Those of us paying for other’s health care should have a say in just what care they get.
But remember, you will hear a lot about how wonderful it will be but you won’t hear much about cost. Rangel and the rest of the tax cheats will screw us with that later on.
