Then Follow The Law Democrats
Oct 1, 2013 Commentary, Political
They keep screaming that Obamacare is the law. It is the law and we must follow it and it will proceed and you mean old Republicans need to stop.
I have already discussed how laws get changed all the time and that if we never changed laws Barack Obama would be picking cotton in the south. How if we kept laws in place there would be different schools based on the color of skin and people would eat at different lunch counters and drink from different fountains.
We changed the laws because they were wrong and they discriminated. It was good that we changed them.
But for some reason Obamacare is a law that cannot be changed. The messiah Barackus Obamus the one and only Hussein has given you a law and you must follow it.
Well let’s look at this because as recently as yesterday both Obama and Harry Reid said that this was the law and it was ruled Constitutional so people needed to get over it and follow it.
Well then let’s follow it and I mean follow all of it.
You see, since Obamacare was passed through brute force and without one Republican vote Barack Hussein Obama has changed that law. He has granted over 1000 waivers, he has exempted some labor unions and he has delayed nearly half of the provisions with the most recent being the employer mandate.
If you want to follow the damned law then follow it. You morons can’t scream that it is the law and needs to be followed if you are not following it. If you can change it then it can be changed so quit screaming about the Republican efforts and either get on board or follow it the way it was written.
By the way, that also means removing the carve out for Congress.
When the law was written there was a provision that required members of Congress and their staff to be in the exchanges without subsidies. They did not like this so Obama once again changed the law to provide taxpayer subsidies to members of Congress and their staff. The subsidies are about 72% of the cost of their health insurance.
I am sorry folks but if we are being told that this is the law and we need to follow it then we need to do just that. This means that Congress does not get subsidies and must follow the original law.
Republicans in the House tried to ensure this by adding a provision that removed the subsidies and forced Congress back into the original provisions of the law. Harry Reid and his Democrats rejected that.
To be clear, Harry Reid and his Democrats voted to keep a change to the law, a law that they say can’t be changed.
To add insult to injury Harry Reid said that the provision by the Republicans (TO FOLLOW THE LAW AS ORIGINALLY WRITTEN) was an attempt to punish 16,000 Congressional staffers.
You get that? Requiring Congress and its staff to follow the law as written is PUNISHMENT.
So now we have to explore this a bit further. If following the law as written is punishment and Harry Reid wants US to follow the law as written then isn’t Harry Reid attempting to PUNISH us?
The federal government is shutting down because the Democrats are inflexible when it comes to provisions that affect the people who make this country work. Only those who are in the favor of the King get special treatment. Only those in Congress get special treatment.
The rest of us get punished.
Democrats shut down the federal government because they would rather punish people than govern.
They made sure they were taken care of while everyone else gets screwed.
It seems to me they should be happy some laws get changed or we would still allow duels…

What Makes Congress So Special?
Jan 11, 2011 Political
In any given city in America there is gun violence. This is particularly true in cities run by liberals and where there are strict gun laws. Criminals do not obey the law so innocent people are slaughtered regularly. The people living in these cities do not get armed guards and they do not get special treatment at the airport from the TSA.
The shooting of Congresswoman Giffords is still under investigation and already members are looking to make it a federal crime to use language or symbols that could be perceived as threatening to members of Congress.
What makes them so special?
These pampered people already work in a secure place and they have security details when indicated. The people shot in the real world do not have this protection and they are many more times likely to be shot than any member of Congress.
In true never let a crisis go to waste fashion, Representative Clyburn wants special rules for members of Congress so they do not have to get the same screening at airports that the rest of us do. What does the event in Arizona have to do with the airport?
Taking it one step further, Clyburn wants to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine. The trumped up BS that right wing talk radio is responsible for this senseless act is driving Democrats to try to infringe even further on our freedoms.
Members of Congress are no more special than any of the rest of us and they do not deserve special treatment or special laws to keep people from criticizing them all under an umbrella of “perceived” as threatening. Perceived by whom?
The rhetoric is the same from both parties and there does not need to be special rules for the people of Congress. They do not need special treatment at the airport and they do not need a Fairness Doctrine.
The actions of this past weekend were those of a demented person hell bent on killing someone and all the laws in the world could not have prevented this tragedy from occurring.
The tragedy has been exploited by the left for political gain as the same people who told us not to jump to conclusions about Nadal Hasan are jumping to conclusions and they are doing so in order to further their agenda to take away as many of our freedoms as possible.
What happened to Giffords and all the other victims was absolutely horrible but our freedoms should not suffer because of them.
America is better than that no matter what the left thinks.

Rangel Mess Shows Congress Is Protected Class
Dec 3, 2010 Political
Before I start, let me say that I admire Charlie Rangel’s military service to this country. On 30 November, 1950 he and his unit were attacked by the Chinese while he was serving in the Korean War. Rangel was wounded but managed, as a Private, to take control of about 30 soldiers and get them to safety in freezing temperatures. His actions saved them from capture and likely saved their lives. He received several medals for his heroism and for that, this nation should be grateful.
But that does not negate the fact that over the years that Rangel has served in Congress he has done things that would get the average citizen thrown in jail.
Yesterday, Rangel was censured by the Congress, a punishment just below expulsion. Rangel was found guilty of nearly a dozen ethics violations including not paying taxes for a rental property. This is particularly bad because Rangel was in charge of the group responsible for our tax laws. It is not likely that Rangel will be prosecuted for failure to pay his taxes. He has already paid what was reported that he owed and the matter will be considered settled. If he were the average guy on the street, he would be in jail.
Even the not so average guys go to jail. Wesley Snipes, the actor, was sentenced to three years in jail for failure to pay his taxes. Snipes was led to believe that there was no compelling law that required him to pay the taxes so he didn’t. The fact that he paid $5 million dollars (of the $15 million he owed) did not sway a judge and he will serve three years.
What is the difference between what Snipes did and what Rangel did? Rangel knew the tax laws and did not pay his taxes. He claimed that it was a mistake and poor bookkeeping. Snipes was told by his tax advisers that he did not have to pay the taxes and he didn’t.
Both men were guilty of not paying their taxes but one of them had to face Congress and have his censure read aloud while the other will spend three years behind bars.
To top it off, Snipes has not been accused of any other wrongdoing.
Snipes was made an example. His jail time is a direct message to those who think there is no law compelling them to pay taxes. This is an intimidation tactic to get people who think the same thing to stop and think before they decide not to pay taxes.
There are obviously two sets of rules. One set for the members of Congress (and other top government officials) and one set for the rest of us. How many people in the Obama Administration alone were outed as tax evaders only to pay what they owed and move into high paying positions?
Rangel made a big show of his censure proceedings and asked others to vote for a lesser punishment. People have talked about the embarrassment of standing in the well of the House floor while the censure is read by the Speaker.
I bet if one were to ask Wesley Snipes which punishment he preferred he would gladly stand in the well of the House and have a censure read.
And you can bet Rangel prefers this to three years in jail.
You can bet they would both prefer the Tim Geithner resolution where they could apologize for the oversight, pay the back taxes (no interest or penalties) and then move on with their lives.
At 80 years of age it is time for Rangel to consider retiring and enjoying the rest of his life.
And it is time for Congress to have real oversight where members are held as accountable as the poorest person in the country.

Surprise! Obama’s Aunt Gets Asylum
May 18, 2010 Political
Who did not know this was going to happen? Barack Obama’s Aunt Zeituni Onyango was granted asylum here in the US six years after her first request was denied and she ignored the deport order. That’s right folks, she stayed in this country illegally for six years receiving government assistance. Once nephew Barry ran for the White House she was rediscovered. Now that he won she has been granted asylum.
The White House insists that it had nothing to do with the approval and this might be true in the technical sense but in reality the fact that Obama occupies the White House had to help her out. What judge would send her back where she belongs with such a powerful relative?
Zeituni Onyango is wheelchair bound because of illness but if she had gone home when she was ordered to leave she would have been able to walk onto the plane.
Why does she deserve asylum? What is going on in Kenya that would put her life at risk? The people of Kenya worship their native son who now leads the US and many of his other relatives live there without any problem (and without any money).
This is the Obama illegal immigration policy. Grant them asylum or amnesty and let them stay. Reward the lawbreakers.
Anyone with brains knew this was going to happen when she was discovered living here illegally and sponging off America. Stevie Wonder could have seen this coming.
I have an idea. Why doesn’t she move into the White House and have nephew Barry pay her way. He is a millionaire and can afford to support his auntie. Better yet, he has a house in Chicago that is not currently occupied. He can let her live there while he pays her way. Why should the taxpayers foot the bill when he can afford to take care of her and she is only here because she ignored the law and then got special treatment because of little Barry?
Being in America under questionable circumstances seems to be a common theme in the Obama family.

Democrat Women Send Mixed Message
Aug 25, 2008 Political
Nancy Pelosi, a practicing Catholic who does not know the Catholic Church’s position on abortion, has been telling people how she broke a marble ceiling in Congress by becoming the Speaker and how Hillary Clinton inspired a ton of young women. The message is that young ladies (and evidently a couple of old ones) can do whatever they want because they are independent and strong.
But they must not be so strong in Florida where a Democratic Congresswoman, Corrine Brown of Jacksonville, was unable to sandbag her own house during Tropical Storm Fay. She called the mayor who dispatched a crew of inmates on a work crew to sandbag her house. Her neighbor asked for some help from the crew but they laughed at him. Evidently, women are not able to do as much as Hillary and Nancy think.
Come now, you skeptics don’t actually think that the mayor would waste taxpayer money doing a favor for a member of Congress, you know, one of the critters who works for you? As a matter of fact the mayor, John Peyton, said that he did not give her special treatment. She called and since she is a woman, a single mother, and sounded scared, he sent her help. I am willing to bet that this mayor would do that for any single mother who is scared. So let’s put this to a test.
Another storm is brewing off the coast of Florida. All you folks who have Payton as your mayor need to keep a close watch on the weather. If it gets rough where you are, call the mayor and tell him you are a single mother and you are scared. He will send you help in a jiffy. What’s that? You don’t have his number. You have the office number but not his private ones (any of them). Well this just won’t do. If Peyton only helped because she was a regular citizen in a bad way then he needs to give his numbers out to everyone so that all the other regular folks will have a way of calling him direct when they need help.
If everyone else does not have his number maybe, just maybe, he dispatched that crew to help because she was a member of Congress. If that is the case he gave her better treatment than the people who they both happen to work for. I mean since Nancy and Hillary told us women can do it all and there are no obstacles that cannot be overcome (except one well spoken half black guy from Chicago) then maybe she got special treatment after all.
It is time to throw them both out of office because they seem to have forgotten who they work for and that is unacceptable.
This is misuse of government funds, it is abuse of power and it is wrong. Every resident who lives in that area was entitled to the service before any elected official because they work for the people, not the other way around. That is not to say that it should be done, rather it is an idea of a conceptual pecking order. In reality, the people should not have government swooping in to take care of their property. This is a homeowner responsibility.
It is Democratic attitudes like this that gave us the attitudes that caused melt down in New Orleans. Then again, maybe most of those folks in NO were single mothers who were scared.
