Why Rich Liberals Want Tax Increases
Oct 12, 2011 Political
All liberals want people to be taxed more. That is, of course, except them. Liberals love to discuss raising tax rates and forcing more people to pay more of their hard earned cash to the government so that the government can take that money and waste it on programs that support liberals. Welfare, bailouts, union payoffs, all done with tax dollars to keep the liberal base down and dependent on government while forcing others to pay.
Even very wealthy liberals say that the wealthy should pay more in taxes. Bill Clinton says he should be paying more, Michael Moore thinks the wealthy should be paying more and Warren Buffett says the wealthy should be paying more. Buffett is so revered in the Obama regime that a new tax plan is named after him. It matters not that the new tax is based upon a lie (that Buffett pays less in taxes than his secretary) what matters is that the man is advocating more taxes for the rich.
He and other rich liberals like to discuss raising taxes because they do not pay their taxes. John Kerry wants more taxes but docks his yacht in another state to avoid taxes. Charlie Rangel finds ways (mostly illegal ones) to avoid paying taxes. Buffett is no different. Last year Buffett made $62,955,038, making him very rich, but instead of paying his fair share Buffett has been fighting with the IRS for ten years to avoid paying about ONE BILLION dollars in taxes.
Mr. I need to pay more in taxes is fighting the IRS to avoid paying taxes. All liberals who advocate higher taxes (but only on the rich as we define them at any given moment) work very, very hard to avoid paying their own taxes.
Buffett is not different and neither are all the mush brained morons from Hollywood who claim they need to pay more. All of these rich people employ accountants to ensure they pay the IRS as little as possible. Here is a great summation of Buffett’s hypocrisy:
On top of this tax bill, figure the value of the time IRS agents have invested trying to collect it – they don’t work cheap, and we pay their salaries – and the resources Buffett’s people have invested fighting back. All of which would have been saved if Buffett simply practiced what he preached, and willingly handed over his fortune to the brilliant and compassionate “leaders” he commands the rest of us to support without resistance. Human Events
Buffett did not practice what he preaches for the same reason all liberals do not practice what they preach; because they believe the rules do not apply to them.
Buffett is no different…
Do as I say and not as I do, the mantra of the liberal left.
Cave canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

Taxes Are Not The Answer
Jul 19, 2011 Political
When taxes are raised there is a certain level at which they fail to produce the expected results. People who are taxed find ways to avoid paying the taxes or have incentive not to earn as much. The very wealthy find tax shelters and the middle class gets socked. This is true at the national level and is worth remembering as we debate the debt limit. The Democrats want to impose taxes (that and spending is all they know) on the wealthy which they define down to $200,000 for individuals and $250,000 for couples. The Democrats want these folks to pay their fair share even though they shoulder almost the entire tax burden. Lower taxes increase revenue and higher taxes suppress revenue but the Democrats do not care. Even Obama, who said that raising taxes during hard economic times was not wise, wants to raise taxes.
Any politician who votes for this scheme should be removed from office.
Even the middle class will look for ways to avoid taxes. Yes, those who always scream to tax the rich look for ways to avoid taxes. In Baltimore the City imposed a tax on beverages (the bottle tax) and though it has brought in about 5 million dollars that figure is 1 million lower than was expected and at least 70 jobs have been lost because of the tax. Now officials want to repeal the tax because it is killing jobs and not performing as expected.
And they have figured out what I said all along. People in the city can drive to a neighboring county and buy beverages and avoid the City’s bottle tax.
Well, not all of them have figured it out. The Mayor expects the repeal to be defeated and is not unhappy about that. In addition, a candidate for Mayor has stated he wants to impose a new tax, one he claims will lower the crimes that involve shootings.
Otis Rolley wants to impose a $1 per bullet tax on ammunition sold in the city. Rolley believes that this additional tax will make it harder for criminals to afford bullets and therefore will lower the number of shootings in the city.
First of all, as with the bottle tax, people can drive to a neighboring jurisdiction and buy bullets. There are plenty of stores that sell ammunition surrounding the city and people can go there and avoid the additional $20 to $50 per box of ammo. Come to think of it, a box of 500 rounds of 22 caliber would incur a $500 tax!
People could also order their ammo through the internet and have it delivered to their house or to the house of a relative who lives outside the city.
People will avoid taxes no matter how much they claim to support them. One only needs to look at Warren Buffett, John Kerry, Tim Geithner, Charlie Rangel and a slew of other Democrats who always seek higher taxes but work hard to avoid paying them.
And putting all that aside, what makes Mr. Rolley think that people who obtain firearms illegally, carry them illegally, and use them illegally will worry about obtaining ammunition legally? I imagine some enterprising person will purchase a lot of ammo from surrounding counties and sell it to people in the city. Rolley will create a black market of ammo dealers who will look to make a buck by circumventing the tax.
Only a liberal would believe that a person who breaks the law will suddenly follow another law designed to impede his criminal activities.
Raising taxes is a bad idea and allowing liberals to get into office is an even worse one.
A side note to Mr. Rolley. The city has a high crime rate with or without guns. The city needs to lock criminals up and keep them in jail instead of operating a revolving door justice system. And allowing law abiding citizens their Second Amendment right to carry arms would make criminals think twice. They would never know who is carrying. But this is Maryland and the Democrats in this state love to trample on our Constitutionally protected rights.
Cave Canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

Like A Good Lib, Kerry Avoids Taxes
Jul 24, 2010 Political
Like Tim Geithner and Charlie Rangel, John Kerry is not fond of taxes if he has to pay them. He is perfectly OK with voting for tax increases which he has done his entire career but when it comes to paying taxes, well that’s another thing all together. We already know that Kerry does not check the box on his Massachusetts tax form asking that he be taxed at the higher rate but now he has avoided six figures in tax by berthing his new, 7 million dollar yacht, in Rhode Island where he can avoid nearly a half million dollars in taxes up front and about 70,000 dollars in taxes yearly.
Isabel – Kerry’s luxe, 76-foot New Zealand-built Friendship sloop with an Edwardian-style, glossy varnished teak interior, two VIP main cabins and a pilothouse fitted with a wet bar and cold wine storage – was designed by Rhode Island boat designer Ted Fontaine.
But instead of berthing the vessel in Nantucket, where the senator summers with the missus, Teresa Heinz, Isabel’s hailing port is listed as “Newport” on her stern.
Could the reason be that the Ocean State repealed its Boat Sales and Use Tax back in 1993, making the tiny state to the south a haven – like the Cayman Islands, Bermuda and Nassau – for tax-skirting luxury yacht owners? Boston Herald
A spokesperson says it is berthed there for maintenance (how often should a new 7 million dollar boat need maintenance).
There is no coincidence here and the maintenance story is a ruse. The man does not want to pay taxes and he has found a way to avoid them. This is typical for the ruling class because they consider themselves better than the rest of us. Taxes are for the serfs, not for the elites who vote to impose them.
This guy is a fraud and is a perfect example of the Democrats who think taxes are a wondeful thing unless they have to pay them.
Of course, they like tax cuts in election years. But then again, hypocrisy reigns supreme among the liberal elite.
Where are the liberals screaming that he can afford to pay the money? Hell, he bought a 7 million dollar boat so he should be able to pay the half million in sales taxes and 70,000 dollar annual tax. He is depriving Massachusetts of money it desperately needs to pay for the bloated health care system and other social programs that are in the hole.
It is, after all, for the children.
Has he no shame? Where is his compassion?
Is he not a patriot? Joe Biden said paying taxes was patriotic so what does that make Kerry?
Scratch that, we already know he is not a patriot by his past anti American activities. Where is sheriff Joe Biden to police this up and make this man a patriot?
Never surrender, never submit.
