A Lawsuit Would Get A Response
May 7, 2013 Political
A 5th grade boy wrote on his desk and the teacher caught him. Now most adults would recognize that the child did something wrong and then provide an appropriate punishment. The child could have been made to wash his desk and all other desks in the classroom during recess or after school. The child could have been made to wash his desk and then be given detention for a certain period of time.
There are plenty of methods of punishing a child for doing something wrong that will provide the child a lesson and prompt him not to do the bad thing again. The teacher’s punishment was not appropriate. She forced the child to lick the desk clean.
The parents of the child were very upset and wanted something done to the teacher for the inappropriate punishment. They have gone through the proper channels to get their concerns addressed but have been stonewalled. They even said that the issue could be resolved if the teacher were forced to get in front of the class and apologize but the principal says he can’t do that because it would be a directive which he cannot give (what sense does it make to be in charge then) and that it would not be sincere.
They have been advised that the teacher was dealt with but the situation is confidential.
I have an idea that will get them a response. The parents should get an attorney and sue the school and the teacher for a ton of money.
I bet that all kinds of directives can be issued by the principal if they will avoid a huge lawsuit and I bet the teacher would publicly apologize and be sincere if it will keep her from paying out money.
Of course I think it is too late for that and the parents should go for all they can get. The people in these positions need to be made examples of in order to keep them in line.
I do not condone what the child did and certainly he deserved an appropriate punishment. If that had happened there would be no issue.
But this teacher went over the line and the principal is not working to resolve it to the satisfaction of the parents so now it is time to make them pay.
If they can’t get satisfaction then lick them in court…
Cave canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

What Happened To The Stimulus Money?
Jun 13, 2010 Political
And why are teacher’s, firefighter’s and police officer’s salaries a federal concern?
The stimulus bill signed into law last February was a 787 billion dollar boondoggle. The total package, with interest on borrowed money, will put the thing over 1 TRILLION dollars. The unfortunate thing is that we got very little for our money and the things it was spent on are NOT things that will stimulate the economy and a lot of them are things states are responsible for.
Obama is pleading with Democrats to pass another 50 BILLION dollars of “emergency” funds to prevent teachers, firefighters and police officers from being laid off.
President Obama urged reluctant lawmakers Saturday to quickly approve nearly $50 billion in emergency aid to state and local governments, saying the money is needed to avoid “massive layoffs of teachers, police and firefighters” and to support the still-fragile economic recovery. Washington Post
The first thing we should realize is that the federal government is not responsible for teachers, firefighters or police officers unless they work for the federal government. The states AND ONLY THE STATES are responsible for the people in these professions who work in the individual states. It is not the responsibility of taxpayers from Maryland to pay for the teachers, firefighters or police officers in Michigan or any other state. Each state is responsible and using federal tax dollars to pay for these things taxes Americans twice for the same thing.
People are taxed by their states to pay for these services and then their federal tax dollars are used to pay for the same services, often because of mismanagement at the state level.
It is up to the states to decide if they can afford to pay for the same level of services or if they will have to be scaled back. The states need to decide whether or not to raise taxes to pay for these things. It is not the responsibility of the federal government and our tax dollars should not be paying it.
This is Obama pushing our tax dollars to the people in the unions. Obama has the support of the teachers and many of the law enforcement and firefighting unions (whether the individual members support him or not) and he wants to ensure he has their votes so he will pay for them with OUR money.
Obama already signed one stimulus into law and that stimulus provided for teachers and for law enforcement.
- $4 billion for state and local law enforcement agencies
- $44.5 billion in aid to local school districts to prevent layoffs and cutbacks, with flexibility to use the funds for school modernization and repair (State Equalization Fund)
Read the Wiki article and see how much money the stimulus funneled to things that will not, in any way shape or form, stimulate the economy. The total education package was over 90 BILLION dollars.
Obama spent 48.5 BILLION dollars for teachers and law enforcement and now he wants 50 BILLION dollars more. If the stimulus worked as sold then these entities would not need additional money, if we were to accept that the federal government should be paying for them at all.
The stimulus is not stimulating and it is a failure. Obama wants more money to throw at his supporters in the unions at the expense of the taxpayers and our national sovereignty. How much more debt will we accrue before we are totally owned by another country?
It is not the job of the federal government to pay for the salaries of people working for the individual states. The states are solely responsible for these salaries and if they cannot afford them then they need to make the same tough decisions that plenty of private companies have made and lay off employees.
Obama is trying to use OUR money to pay off the unions and to pander for their votes. We should not be paying for these things and it is criminal that we paid for them with the first stimulus.
Let us not keep making the same mistakes by continuing to throw good money after bad on an economic folly.
Never surrender, never submit.

Did Students Also Suck up Government Benefits?
Dec 19, 2007 Immigration
A Spanish teacher in Ohio has her students conduct a role playing exercise where she has them assume an identity of a Latino and try to apply to enter the US legally. She then stamps all their papers DENIED and tells them to figure out how to get in ILLEGALLY. This is supposed to be an eye opening experience that teaches empathy as each student goes to local businesses and asks for applications that are written in Spanish and then tries to figure out how to live here and make a living as an ILLEGAL.
The teacher, Erica Vieyra, feels that immigration is one of the most important problems of our time and she believes that by teaching these students to have empathy they might make a difference when they grow up and become voters and possibly lawmakers. I wonder why this teacher did not have them go to the government assistance offices and figure out ways to bilk the US taxpayer out of money? Perhaps she could have had the girls get pregnant and drop a jackpot baby here so it would be given the status of citizen and guarantee generations of other family members entering to ride the baby’s coattails. Maybe she could have had them apply for college at great tuition rates and then watch as real citizens pay more money, no doubt to offset the handouts to ILLEGALS.
I think this teacher should have focused on teaching her students how to obey the law rather than to break it. Imagine a business teacher telling students to apply for a job and then denying it only to inform the student to get it illegally, by forging documents. Perhaps the business teacher could give an assignment for students to already have a job and they have to make a million dollars and when they don’t he teaches them how to do it illegally.
Perhaps someone should teach this teacher how to stop blaming the United States for the ILLEGAL acts of immigrants. They have a hard time because they break the law. They have no regard for the law and they expect people to ignore their activities as if they are entitled to a life here. This is our house and we get to say who enters and who does not.
I wonder how this teacher would react if a student who was failing her class broke into the school computer and changed his grades so he would pass? That is the lesson she is teaching…
