Obama Should Blame Bush Again

Barack Obama has taken every opportunity to blame George Bush for anything that goes wrong. Obama blames the economy on Bush and since he was president when it happened he has some of the blame but there is plenty to go around and a lot of it goes to the Democratic Congress and those who allowed people to borrow money when they had no hope in hell of paying it back.

Obama made a promise to close Gitmo and he will likely not be able to keep that promise so he, you guessed it, blamed it on Bush. It seems that Bush never told him how hard it would be or did not keep good records or [fill in the blank] just as long as you know it is Bush’s fault.

There is one thing that Obama should blame on Bush and that is the recent arrests of terrorists who were well on their way to perpetrating the biggest terror attack on American soil since 9/11. Yes Bush is to blame because of the Patriot Act that he signed into law. That Act allowed the terrorists to be caught on the roving wiretaps. That Act allowed the FBI to track Najibullah Zazi when he went to Pakistan and received instructions on making a bomb.**

Yes, Barack Obama and the United States owe a debt of gratitude to George Bush for the Patriot Act and those who complained about it should be thankful that the attack was thwarted despite their opposition.

Obama and his people should think carefully before they dismantle the Patriot Act and they should think long and hard before deciding on another course of action.

When it comes to this incident of capturing terrorists before they could execute their evil plan I have one thing to say.

It is Bush’s fault they were caught.

**Commenter Darrel note they were able to do this before the patriot Act. Upon further review, I was not clear as to how the Patriot Act assisted. The linked article indicates; “Nine pages of handwritten formulas for homemade explosives, fuses and detonators were later found on his laptop, e-mailed from an Internet account originating in Pakistan, court documents charge. This is exactly the kind of foreign communications the Patriot Act was designed to intercept..”

Is Obama Hoping For A Dirty Bomb?

Well, I can say I told you so, but anyone with an IQ over that of the temperature of lukewarm water also had to have drawn the conclusion that the Resident just really wants a crisis, one he can use as a pretext to “Hugoize” the United States. Yes, our Communist in Chief has been rubbing up against the tyrants in the United Nations so consistently, he probably has a woody from the contact.

At any rate, he has decided, that we should reduce the number of border Patrol agents on the southern border. You know, the same southern border that Al Qaeda mentioned would be a really great place to smuggle weapons and people into our midst. We already have captured several people who are middle eastern Arabs or Persians- and this doesn’t include the drugs and illegal aliens who come into our land for  “ordinary”criminal enterprises.

Even though the Border Patrol now reports that almost 1,300 miles of the U.S.-Mexico border is not under effective control, and the Department of Justice says that vast stretches of the border are “easily breached,” and the Government Accountability Office has revealed that three persons “linked to terrorism” and 530 aliens from “special interest countries” were intercepted at Border Patrol checkpoints last year, the administration is nonetheless now planning to decrease the number of Border Patrol agents deployed on the U.S.-Mexico border.
 cnsnews.com

These aliens and persons from special interest countries came in through the checkpoints- how many came in by way of the desert, or across the Rio Grande in South Texas? We may never know, simply because our dear “leader” doesn’t want to assign the manpower to get the job done. His philosophy, as has all the Democrats been, is if George Bush did it, it must be undone- no matter that what was done wasn’t partisan, it was right.

Each year, the Border Patrol sets a goal for “border miles under effective control (including certain coastal sectors).” “Effective control,” as defined by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, means that when the Border Patrol detects an illegal border crosser in a particular area of the border the agency can be expected to succeed in apprehending that person.

In the May 7 update of its performance review, DHS said the Border Patrol’s goal for fiscal 2009 was to have 815 of the 8,607 miles of border for which the agency is responsible under “effective control.”  The review also said the Border Patrol’s goal for fiscal 2010 was to again have 815 miles of border under “effective control,” meaning DHS was not planning to secure a single additional mile of border in the coming year.

However, Acting Deputy Assistant Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Todd Owen told a House committee in July that the Border Patrol already had 894 miles of border under effective control as of May 31 of this year.  These 894 miles, Owen said, included 697 miles on the Mexican border, 32 miles on the Canadian border and 165 miles in the coastal sectors.

cnsnews.com

Gee- one tenth of the total border is under control- that is a stat to be truly ashamed of- as a Commissioner, I could not actually present that report without presenting my resignation also. Granted, so should Napolitano, who is the “Border” Czar, and thus is responsible for the situation on the border. Also granted, is just where the buck stops- and it stops in the Oval Office, and thus our nation’s “First Immigrant” (if you believe the birthers) seems, well, less than enthusiastic about clamping down on anyone who wants to break the law to get into our country.

But even if the Border Patrol is able to maintain or marginally improve on the current level of security on the U.S.-Mexico border, most of the border will remain effectively open to smuggling both contraband and persons.

The entire U.S.-Mexico border is 1,954 miles long, according to theInternational Boundary and Water Commission. While 697 of those miles are now under “effective control,” according to the Border Patrol, 1,257 miles are not under “effective control.”

Reports from other government agencies paint a vivid picture of the massive drug and alien smuggling that takes place in these uncontrolled expanses and the national security problem created by unsecured border lands.

Each year, the Justice Department’s National Drug Intelligence Centerproduces “drug market analyses” for each of 32 regions of the country that the NDIC describes as “high intensity drug trafficking areas.” Five of these areas sit along the U.S.-Mexico border. These include the California border region, Arizona, New Mexico, West Texas and South Texas. The latest reports, released in March and April of this year, use candid language in portraying the U.S.-Mexican frontier as wide open to drug smuggling and even vulnerable to penetration by potential terrorists.

  cnsnews.com

Wide open- lovely. This is not a sustainable scenario for our country, and we need to do something substantial to rectify this, or sooner or later, we will have uncontrolled violence along our border, and then regular citizens will have to begin enforcing the laws that our government is too reluctant to do. The violence is already here- Phoenix Arizona is now the number two city in the world in terms of kidnappings. Hey FBI!!!! Sitting on your hands? WTF?

We cannot stand for this- the status quo is unacceptable, and if Nobama will not do his job, he should be impeached, plain and simple.

Arizona’s border was judged to be open not only to drug smugglers but also aliens with “extensive criminal records” and from “special interest countries,” which are defined as “countries that could export individuals who could bring harm to the United States through terrorism.”

“Some criminal organizations smuggle aliens and gang members into the United States,” said NDIC’s report on Arizona. “These particular individuals typically have extensive criminal records and pose a threat, not only to the Arizona HIDTA [high intensity drug trafficking area] region but also to communities throughout the United States. Alien smuggling organizations reportedly also smuggle aliens from countries other than Mexico, including special-interest countries.”

“Special-interest countries are those designated by the intelligence community as countries that could export individuals who could bring harm to the United States through terrorism,” said the NDIC report.

The NDIC described the Arizona-Mexico border as “largely underprotected” in the areas between official ports of entry.

“Large amounts of illicit drugs are smuggled into the area from Mexico, and bulk cash is transported from the area into Mexico,” said NDIC. “These trafficking activities are facilitated by several factors unique to the region, including the continuing economic and population growth in Arizona’s two primary drug markets (Phoenix and Tucson), the highways that connect major metropolitan areas in Arizona with major illicit drug source areas in Mexico, and a remote, largely underprotected border area between Arizona’s ports of entry (POEs).

 cnsnews.com

And that is just the Arizona border- we also have the New Mexico Border, the California border, and  the one that concerns me the most, (because I live here) the Texas border. When there’s only one third of the Texas border that can be considered “secure”, we have a problem that is aggravated because many on this side of the border collude with the drug and alien smugglers. There should be terminal punishment for this- trafficking in people is harmful to all concerned, and trafficking in drugs ruins lives here-

The people who traffic in these things should be shot and their bodies left right on the border as a reminder that some things should and will be punished to the fullest extent possible.

It is time to send a message here- nothing less will do.

There has been much discussion in the past week about whether President Barack Obama will heed the advice of Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal, the U.S. commander in Afghanistan, to increase the U.S. troop deployment there.  The administration, however, has already decided to decrease by 384 the Border Patrol agents deployed on our own southern frontier.

cnsnews.com

That is not the message we need to send- with an attitude like that, we will be attacked again, and it will be Obama’s fault.

And that is a fatal breach of responsibility.

Don’t Take Flight 93 To Mecca 7-16-2009

Everyone involved with the Flight 93 Memorial knows that the Crescent of Embrace points to Mecca

Blogburst logo, petition

In 2007, Flight 93 Advisory Commission member Tim Baird told Alec Rawls (the author of these blogburst posts) that everyone at the meetings he attended is fully aware that the giant crescent, originally named the Crescent of Embrace, really does point almost exactly at Mecca. Professor Baird says they all just assume (himself included) that the Mecca orientation must be an innocent coincidence.

Pretty crazy, when they have also been told the meaning of a crescent that Muslims face into to face Mecca. Every mosque is built around a Mecca-direction indicator called a mihrab, and the classic mihrab is crescent shaped. Geometrically, the Crescent of Embrace is the world’s largest mihrab.

However honestly Project Partners believe that the Mecca orientation of the crescent must be a coincidence, this is not what they tell the public. When reporters asked Memorial Project Superintendent Joanne Hanley about the Mecca orientation, she denied it:

“The only thing that orients the memorial is the crash site,” she said.

Thinking that the Mecca orientation of the crescent must be a coincidence in no way justifies lying to the public about this explosive information. If Baird’s account is accurate—that the dozens of Memorial Project Partners all know that the giant crescent actually does point to Mecca—then the Memorial Project has a lot of explaining to do. Now an overlooked article from 2007 corroborates Professor Baird’s information.

Dr. Glenn Kashurba

It turns out that a Pennsylvania psychiatrist who has been intimately involved with the memorialization of Flight 93 (writing two books on the subject) argued to a reporter before the July 2007 Memorial Project meeting that the Mecca-orientation of the giant crescent (which he took as a given) should be seen as coincidental:

“When you calculate angles to Mecca – I’m going to be in Washington, D.C., this week, and I’m sure if I calculate angles of the monuments, at least one points to Mecca,” Kashurba said. “I don’t know if it will be the White House or the Lincoln Memorial, but at least one will. People looking for a way to support their way of looking at things will look at this in this way for ever and ever.”

If Dr. Kashurba was getting his information from the Memorial Project’s public statements, he would have denied that the crescent points to Mecca. Here is what Memorial Project Partner Patrick White told the press 9 days before the Kashurba story:

Rawls, of Palo Alto, Calif., contends that the centerpiece of the design points toward Mecca.

Rawls’ claims are untrue and “preposterous,” according to Patrick White, Families of Flight 93 vice president. “We went through in detail all his original claims and came away with nothing.”

Kashurba knew better, as did Patrick White himself. The week after his public denial, a local woman asked White how he could be okay with the Mecca orientation of the giant crescent. This time White did not deny the Mecca orientation, but argued that it cannot be seen as honoring Islam because the inexactness of the Mecca orientation would be “disrespectful” to Islam.

Mecca orientation takes literally 2 minutes to verify, starting from source documents

It is not surprising that these Memorial Project insiders would know that the giant crescent does in fact point almost exactly at Mecca (1.8° north of Mecca to be precise, ± 0.1°). After all, they had by the summer of 2007 been examining Rawls’ report, and answering questions from the press about it, for over a year, and the near Mecca orientation of the Crescent of Embrace is trivially easy to verify.

Just use any of the online Islamic prayer-direction calculators to print out the direction to Mecca from Somerset PA. Place this graphic over the Crescent site-plan on your computer screen, and you will see that the Mecca-direction line (which Muslims call “qibla”) almost exactly bisects the crescent:

The green circle in this image is from the qibla calculator at Islam.com (down at the moment, but you can use the one at Qibla.com, or QiblaLocator.com). A person standing between the tips of the giant crescent and facing into the center of the crescent will be facing almost exactly at Mecca.

Patrick White knows this and deceives the press and the public about it. Dr. Kashurba knows it and stands by as White and others deceive the press and the public about it. These deceptions have been blatant.

Everything points to Mecca?

The Project even went to far as to dig up an academic fraud from Texas, willing to deny that there is any such thing as the direction to Mecca:

Daniel Griffith, a geospatial information sciences professor at the University of Texas at Dallas, said anything can point toward Mecca, because the earth is round.

Was the reporter embarrassed to ask Muslims if they can really face any direction to face Mecca? Hard to blame her. Just to ask such a stupid question is to answer it, but the obviousness of the fraud is no excuse for letting it stand.

According to Professor Baird, every Memorial Project member who saw these denials knew that they were fraudulent, yet not one of them has tried to tell the public about the Project’s dishonest cover-up. When the truth does get out to the broader public, Project members are going to have a lot to answer for, which is presumably why they are keeping their mouths shut now. They have done a very bad thing and they don’t want it exposed.

What proves Islamic intent is the architect’s elaborate repetition of the Mecca orientation

No one ever claimed that the almost exact Mecca orientation of the Crescent of Embrace proves Islamic intent. Architect Paul Murdoch proves intent in a different way: by elaborate repetition of his Mecca orientations. His first confirmation of intent is to include an exact Mecca orientation.

In Murdoch’s explanation, the flight path breaks the circle, turning it into the giant crescent. To find this thematically defined crescent, remove those parts of the full Crescent of Embrace that extend out past the point where the flight path breaks the circle. The resulting true or thematic crescent points EXACTLY at Mecca:

At the upper tip of the crescent, the flight path comes down from the NNE and symbolically breaks the circle. What symbolically remains standing is the true or thematic Crescent of Embrace, pointing exactly at Mecca.

Murdoch’s next confirmation of intent is to exactly repeat this entire multi-Mecca oriented geometry in the vast array of crescents of trees that surround the Tower of Voices part of the memorial. Setting aside the chance that an architect could in the first place design a memorial to Flight 93 out of nothing but crescents just by innocent coincidence (which must be close to zero), the odds that these crescents would by random chance manifest Murdoch’s repeated Mecca orientations are 1 in 131 billion:

The only change was to include an explicitly broken off part of the circle

The original Crescent of Embrace design included the symbolically broken off parts at the upper crescent tip. When the bare naked Islamic-crescent shape caused a public uproar, the Memorial Project added another broken off part of the circle, floating out in front of the mouth of the original crescent.

They call it a broken circle now, but the unbroken part of the circle, the symbolic result of 9/11, is still a giant Islamic shaped crescent, still pointing EXACTLY at Mecca. That makes it a mihrab, the Mecca-direction indicator around which every mosque is built. The planned memorial is actually a terrorist memorial mosque.

Global Justice Initiative? Are you Kidding?

The FBI has been quietly re- jiggering the rule of law regarding terrorism, as it has begun to Mirandize terrorists at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan. This is ridiculous, to say the least- the FBI has no business in the middle of a war, and treating combatants as if they were garden variety burglars is asinine- just the completely wrong application of justice.

The FBI and Justice Department plan to significantly expand their role in global counter-terrorism operations, part of a U.S. policy shift that will replace a CIA-dominated system of clandestine detentions and interrogations with one built around transparent investigations and prosecutions.

Under the “global justice” initiative, which has been in the works for several months, FBI agents will have a central role in overseas counter-terrorism cases. They will expand their questioning of suspects and evidence-gathering to try to ensure that criminal prosecutions are an option, officials familiar with the effort said.

Though the initiative is a work in progress, some senior counter-terrorism officials and administration policy-makers envision it as key to the national security strategy President Obama laid out last week — one that presumes most accused terrorists have the right to contest the charges against them in a “legitimate” setting.

The approach effectively reverses a mainstay of the Bush administration’s war on terrorism, in which global counter-terrorism was treated primarily as an intelligence and military problem, not a law enforcement one. That policy led to the establishment of the prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; harsh interrogations; and detentions without trials.

latimes.com

Treating terrorists with kid gloves is just the wrong approach-we can see how well this worked for Clinton, when he bombed an aspirin factory, thinking it was a terrorist bomb- making center- or the times he misfired trying half- heartedly to get bin Laden. Oooops. His bad. But then, he was kind of occupied at the time with blue dresses and kneepads. The FBI, otherwise known as the feebs, should be concentrating on the tax troubles of all the democrats, but I can understand why the dems want the feebs out of the country- anywhere but near Capital Hill, where there are true criminals. No, instead of leaving overseas operations to the CIA, the FBI is going into unfamiliar territory, which will make their job that much harder.

Regardless of where any bad guy is caught, we want the bureau to be in a position to put charges on them,” the official said, adding that the Bush administration’s emphasis on CIA and military operations often marginalized the FBI — especially when it came to interrogating suspects.

Like others interviewed for this article, the official spoke on the condition of anonymity because no one has been authorized to discuss the initiative publicly. “We have no comment on it at this time,” FBI Assistant Director John J. Miller, the bureau’s chief spokesman, said when asked about the initiative.

latimes.com

The CIA has been marginalized, and wrongfully so- they have been the boots on the ground versus the FBI, who will now have to rely on the CIA’s contacts, and that’s going to hurt the flow of information. All this talk of torture has been a red herring- in the first place it is “enhanced discomfort”, and was used on three people, total. In the second place, these are people who do not play by any set of rules, and if we handicap ourselves, we will lose. I will say this again- We Will Lose. Anybody with a lick of common sense will recognize this fact.

When you go into a fight, you go in to win. If you are fighting fair, you are using a losing strategy. Rules are great for parlor games, and football, but if your opponents are cutting your heads off, it is time to get real.

IA spokesman Paul Gimigliano said the agency would continue to play a central role in interrogations and counter-terrorism operations — using techniques approved by the U.S. Army Field Manual– in conjunction with other U.S. agencies.

Behind the scenes, some intelligence officials are resisting a broader criminal justice role overseas for the FBI, contending that it could inhibit the flow of intelligence if their own agents, or foreign governments, believe top-secret sources and methods might be disclosed during criminal prosecutions.

Two senior U.S. officials said efforts are being made to ensure that intelligence-gathering and law enforcement efforts proceed side by side. They stressed that the CIA and military would continue to play pivotal roles, particularly in gaining strategic intelligence against terrorist groups and thwarting future attacks.

latimes.com

Yes, I am sure, with all the turf wars in the past, that the CIA, the Military, AND the FBI will get along swimmingly. After all, haven’t they always? You know, there is a reason that the CIA is forbidden from domestic operations- the FBI should be forbidden from overseas operations, simply because it makes sense- you have a territorial familiarity  that goes along with your principal duties, and I can guarantee that the CIA knows the streets of Kabul much better than the FBI, and should be in the lead.

But that wouldn’t suit Husseins’ New World Order, now would it? I believe it is time to rename Hussein FUBAR- because this is what he wants to do with our country,

Next, he’ll send Andy Griffith and Barney to Pakistan- oh joy.

Saudi’s Finally Recognize Terrorism?

For decades the Saudi government has given its approval to terrorism by ignoring it. Sure they pretend to be with us in the battle against terrorists and they claim to be taking an active stance against it, but they continue to condone it by looking the other way. As long as America was being attacked (but still buying oil) Saudi Arabia didn’t really care.

But now, as Obama’s pastor of 20 years would say, the chickens have come home to roost. Somali pirates have seized a Saudi oil tanker containing $100 million worth of cargo. The Saudis are not too happy about this and Prince Saud Al-Faisal said:

“Piracy, like terrorism, is a disease which is against everybody, and everybody must address it together.”

Here is a newsflash numb nuts, terrorism has existed for quite some time and it was up to everyone, including YOU, to address it. You ignored (some might say encouraged) terrorism but now that you have been the victim of an act you liken to terrorism, you want something to be done.

Your country has a navy so why don’t you deploy it to protect your ships? Why does the rest of the world have to help you now that you have finally awakened to the reality that terrorism exists? Come to think of it, why is there a piracy problem anyway? Can’t countries put enough weaponry on ships so that the crews can protect themselves?

Anyway, I don’t necessarily agree that piracy is the same as terrorism. It is a crime designed to make the criminals rich. Terrorists do things to terrorize people in order to persuade behavior or push a political or religious agenda and their behavior is not designed to enrich them.

But, since the Saudis want to label it terrorism, fine. We can call it what they like. And since they have ignored terrorism I believe we owe them the same tepid response they have given us.

Ohh, Saudi Arabia, that sure is bad. We denounce those pirates.

There, now you are on your own.
