CNN Tastes Its Own Medicine
Jan 12, 2017 Political
CNN is in a mess because it chose to mention a report with unbelievable (and unverifiable) tales of sex, depravity and espionage concerning Donald Trump and the Russians.
One can debate whether or not CNN actually reported the vile accusations found in a report or just reported that the report was out there but the fact remains it was something that no reputable (if we still have those) news source could verify so many left it alone.
CNN wanted to mention it and while it might not have actually reported “fake news” as Buzzfeed did when it released the entire report the fact remains that CNN mentioned it in hopes that people would look for it. CNN hoped to give itself plausible deniability by claiming it never released the details of the report while enjoying the reality that its reporting tacitly encouraged people to look for the information.
Donald Trump was having NONE of it and he made his dissatisfaction known to CNN when he refused to allow a reporter to ask a question and told him that he (his network) was “fake news.”
CNN is doing the song and dance today trying to convince anyone who will listen that the network never released the information and only mentioned the report. It is asking that folks do not judge it by what Buzzfeed did.
CNN wants people to think of it as an honest news network and not to give in to accusations that it peddles “fake news.”
Isn’t it ironic that CNN is fighting back at allegations that it claims are not true and are unfair when the accusations are that CNN reported something untrue and that was not fair?
I find this and Trump’s treatment of the network delicious. I am glad he lashed out so that he could set the pace from the start. He showed the media that he will not take kindly to these kinds of things and that he has no issue belittling anyone involved. He has no issue with punishing a network by removing its White House press credentials if that network does something that calls into question journalistic integrity.
I hope Trump removes their credentials and if they are ever allowed back (or if he can’t pull them for some reason) he assigns them a seat in the back and never calls on them for a question. They need to be shunned and they need to suffer so the other networks can see what happens when they are dishonest.
They have played fast and loose for years. They have been openly hostile to Republican presidents while treating Democrats like they walk on water. Hell, they still fawn over Obama and they gave Clinton a pass on his sexual escapades and treated his walking dead wife like she was a queen.
I am all for a free press that is hard on politicians when that press is busy protecting the American public as they are supposed to do. I have no sympathy for a press that is part of the problem and that has become nothing more than the media wing of the Democrat Party.
The attempt to smear PE Trump backfired in an awful way and now CNN is trying to convince people it is not fake news and these things being said about them are not true.
It looks like they are experiencing what they tried to do to Trump.
They are getting a taste of their own medicine and I think they are finding it slightly bitter.

There Is No National Popular Vote
Dec 19, 2016 2016 Election, Political
The left is continuing its assault on freedom by whining about the last election. Today the electors will convene in each state capitol and cast their votes and when all is said and done Donald Trump will officially be the next president of the US. The electors selected to do this have been harassed non stop by the left because they do not want Trump in there and are fighting to make that so.
They are also convinced that the electoral college system is outdated and cost Hillary the election. They believe the winner of the national popular vote should be the president. The way it is now is no democracy, they say.
First of all we are not a democracy. Second of all and just as important is that Hillary Clinton DID NOT win the national popular vote because we DO NOT have a national election. A national popular vote insinuates that there is one great big nationwide election and that Hillary won that but we do not have such an election.
We have 51 individual elections (each state and DC). The winner of each individual election in each individual state gets the electoral votes for that state (usually winner take all but different in a few states).
So Donald Trump won the popular vote in enough states to get more than the 270 electoral votes needed to win the presidential election. Hillary Clinton did not win the popular vote in enough states to become president.
The idea that she won the national popular vote is based on adding the totals of all 51 INDIVIDUAL elections and then declaring her the winner. Since we do not have a national election the total for all the states does not matter. The electoral college is in place to prevent a scenario where a heavily populated part of the nation could determine the outcome of an election even if the rest of the nation wanted otherwise just as it did in this case.
Hillary Clinton won by a huge margin in California so much so that it gave her the advantage in the total of all 51 elections. If California were removed from the totals then Trump has the highest vote total of the remaining 49 states and DC. In other words, if we had a national election (the democracy the left wants) then California would get to decide the president even though the other 49 states and DC combined wanted Trump.
By using the electoral system we ensure that all states have a say in the matter
The reality, whether they want to face it or not, is that Hillary did not win the national popular vote because we do not have a national election.
That should settle the debate once and for all but it will not because liberals are like little children who throw tantrums until they get what they want.
If only we could get them to hold their breath until there is a change…

Use the Stick
Nov 28, 2016 2016 Election, Commentary
There is an old adage about a carrot and a stick indicating that one can be enticed or forced to do something. In the case of politics it would be wise for Donald Trump to use the stick.
Mr. Trump won the national election by winning the most electoral votes. I don’t want to discuss popular votes or any other non Constitutional issue. We use electoral votes, they are the best way for us to do things and they are not going anywhere barring an Amendment to the US Constitution in which case we will no longer be a republic,
During the campaign Mr. Trump indicated that if he won he would pursue criminal charges against Ms. Clinton for her illegal activities. After the election he softened that stance by refusing to say if he would prosecute her.
I understand how it works and it would be unwise for Trump to say he would prosecute her since that is not his job. It would be up to his DOJ, his Attorney General, to decide. Trump would need to stay out of it and let the DOJ do its job.
We now have this demand for a recount in three states. It is clear Trump won those states and it is also clear that the person asking for the recount, Jill Stein, could not possibly win no matter what a recount showed. The only person who could possibly benefit would be Hillary Clinton and her actually winning enough changed votes to matter is nearly impossible.
This is all being financed by George Soros in an effort to make Mr. Trump seem illegitimate. The goal is to have a hand recount take so long that there would not be enough EVs certified to give Trump 270 thus denying him the presidency. But Clinton would not have the 270 either so the reality is either the person with the most out of those available (the recounting states would not have theirs in in time) would win or the House and Senate would decide and Trump would still win.
However, this would tarnish him and the feeling is it would weaken him in the eyes of the public. Soros is unhappy that he could not buy this election and he is working to disrupt it in any manner he can (like paying for riots and recounts).
The Clinton campaign is now on board with the recounts. They are interested in assisting in the Soros project. Clinton knows she will not win even with the recount but she will help in the attempt to weaken Trump.
So Mr. Trump should make it clear that he expects his DOJ to go investigate and prosecute anyone who engaged in illegal activities including any co-conspirators. He should make it clear that anyone who did anything wrong will be prosecuted and sent to prison. He should make sure that all the lackeys know that they will be targets as well.
Mr. Trump does not appear to be a wallflower. He demonstrated that he can take a punch and return one quite effectively. He did not wither under the unrelenting attacks.
Now is not the time for Trump to go easy on opponents particularly those who are working to undermine him.
Mr. Trump needs to put the carrots away and wield a very big stick.

The Art Of The Khan
Aug 4, 2016 2016 Election, Terrorism
Before I begin I want to say that CPT Khan was a hero and he died fighting for America. There has never been any question about that regardless of how the media portray what has been said. No one has dishonored the service and sacrifice of CPT Khan. The important takeaway is HIS sacrifice.
Khizr Khan, CPT Khan’s father, sacrificed nothing. Let me be clear, he sacrificed nothing. The sacrifice was solely CPT Khan’s. The Khan’s suffered a loss and we grieve with them and empathize with them for their loss but it is a loss, not a sacrifice. Saying that the family of a dead service member sacrificed is like saying the family of a Medal of Honor recipient earned that medal. We service members and veterans take our own decisions and the sacrifices made (as well as the awards earned) belong to us and us alone.
Mr. Khan’s attack on Donald Trump at the Democrat convention was based on Trump’s assertion that we needed to stop Muslims from countries that support terrorism from coming to America until we could figure out what was going on. In other words, put a halt to this until we can determine what kind of people are coming in. We need to make sure the kind of people that killed CPT Khan are not allowed into this country.
The attack had nothing to do with CPT Khan and HIS sacrifice. Khizr made a slim connection by saying his son, a Muslim, served honorably and Trump would keep people like him out but this is part of the false narrative. CPT Khan is the kind of person who would have been allowed in (if, you know, he were not ALREADY and American citizen). Trump wants to keep out the kind of people who killed him so the argument from Khizr is false.
There has been a firestorm over Trump’s reaction to Mr. Khan. I personally think there were many better ways Trump could have responded that would have made a point in his favor without directly attacking Mr. Khan. Make no mistake, Khizr Khan went on national TV and berated a candidate for the presidency so at that point he became fair game. The fact that he lost a son in the war does not give him blanket protection. He is responsible for what he said and his hero son’s death is not a shield to keep him from being held responsible.
But Trump could have handled it better. This, of course, is why the Khan’s were paraded out in the first place. The Democrats used them to score political points because they knew full well Trump would respond and their supporters (as well as a large portion of the electorate) would be too stupid to see all of this. All they needed was a compliant media to start a lie that Trump attacked a Gold Star family and dishonored their hero son and the bait was set. Liberals and many establishment Republicans took it hook line and sinker and the firestorm over Trump began.
It was a con game from the beginning. Hell, one only needs to look at Khizr Khan’s background and what he does to know he is a liberal who works to bring Muslims into this nation and he thinks Sharia Law trumps (see what I did there) the very Constitution he waved around on stage. He aligns himself with the party that does not give a rodent’s derriere about his son or any other service member and then plays the victim when he is taken to task for his politically motivated speech. You know it is a con game when the families of the Benghazi victims are treated horribly by Hillary Clinton and not a word is said but Khizr is taken to task by Trump and boom, suddenly she and the liberals care about those who sacrificed their lives for America.
If Khan’s motivations were not political then he would embrace Trump’s plan because it is designed to deny the kind of people who killed his son from coming here.
But that would be bad for Khizr’s immigration business….
As for Donald Trump, he would probably benefit from an old idea called thinking before you speak, or tweet, as the case may be.
There are plenty of ways to tell people to go have sex with themselves and have them leave wanting to actually do it.
Trump knows the art of the deal, perhaps he should learn the art of tact. Remember Donald, being tactful is not political correctness.
Imagine if Trump had responded by saying; “I understand their grief and I am sorry for their loss. I would think they would support a plan such as mine that ensures the kind of people who killed their son are prevented from entering our great nation. God bless.”
We would probably be talking about something else and Mr. Khan would not be all over the TV continuing the con.
In short Mr. Trump, if you get beat you get beat but don’t get beat because you gave your enemy the weapon that caused your demise.

Hillary, A Wealth Of Stupidity
Apr 25, 2016 2016 Election
Hillary Clinton is in general election mode. She figures she has Sanders beaten and the nomination is hers so she has turned her focus to Donald Trump, who she must figure will be the GOP nominee.
Hillary went on the attack and bashed Trump for his wealth. She claimed that he could not fly in on his private jet, give a speech and fly out on that jet back to his luxury homes and expect to know how regular people live.
There is no doubt that Trump is very wealthy. He talks about his wealth quite a bit so it would be hard to overlook. But Trump made his money as a businessman in the private sector. It matters not how he got the seed money, the reality is he earned it in private business.
Now Hillary, on the other hand, made her money only after she and her hubby served in public office. Remember, Hillary told us that she and Bill were dead broke and owed a lot of money when they left the White House. Now they have a combined wealth of over 100 MILLION dollars. All that money was earned after they were in office and as a result of their elected positions.
It is beyond me how Hillary can go after Trump for flying in a private jet when Hillary flies around in private jets. It is beyond me how she can talk of Trump’s luxurious homes when she and Bill own several very nice residences.
All the things Hillary claims put Trump out of touch are the very same things she has or does. Admittedly, the amount of money the Clinton’s have pales in comparison to what Trump has but he earned his and he is spending it (his own money) on his campaign. Bill and Hillary spend very little of their own money and win lose or draw she will be sending out emails after the election in November begging people to contribute to pay off her campaign debt. She had over 100 million in wealth in 2008 and begged people to pay off the millions she owed for her failed campaign.
The Clintons are a work of crappy art. Only liberal morons like those two (and throw in the daughter who makes hundreds of thousands for doing very little) could live the life of royalty on money “earned” as a result of public service and then turn around and slam a rich guy who earned his money in the private sector.
This is no different than Sanders screaming about the unfair tax system that favors the rich while he, a wealthy man, writes off everything he can to avoid paying the taxes he wants everyone else to pay.
For the life of me I can’t figure why anyone would vote for this woman. I am baffled by Sanders supporters but Hillary’s supporters are even more troubling because they have decades of her antics to look at before they decide.
None of her criminal behavior keeps people from considering her.
She claims Trump is out of touch because of his wealth and the life he lives but how in touch can she be if she is doing the same things as he?
Only a liberal could get rich off public service and then smear a rich guy who earned his money in business.
Class warfare and hypocrisy. Without them liberals would dry up and blow away.
