I have not done one of these for a while (or much of anything here really) so let us have some fun with the news.
1. Maybe they were all tall enough
A few weeks ago the Golden State Warriors were at the White House celebrating and Joe Biden knelt in front of them. Kamala Harris shouted “I am not doing that.” Given how her political career started it is interesting that she would refuse to get on her knees. Perhaps those fellows were tall enough that she did not have to.
Stephen Curry, a player for the team and an ardent Biden supporter is in the news this week as he is opposed to low income housing being built near his multi million dollar mansion. This is fairly typical for a liberal. They want millions of illegals here but not in their neighborhoods. They are all for the homeless camping out as long as it is not in their neighborhood. Hell, Maxine Waters does not even live in her district. She lives with the well off people and avoids the mess of the homeless encampments.
Curry has a $30 million mansion and is opposing a low income housing development near him. He feels for all you oppressed poor people but he does not want you near him.
If it were not for double standards liberals would have no standards at all.
2. Maybe Pink will be in the red
Alecia Beth Moore Hart, known to some as the singer Pink, wants people to know that if they are pro life she does not want them listening to her music and they can just F-Off. I have seen this person a few times (on TV) and I know that I have never listened to her music of my own accord. It is possible that it was playing someplace where I was but I would not know her music unless someone told me it was she singing it.
I am more than happy not to listen to her. If she feels comfortable losing revenue because of her intolerance then fine, I hope many folks accommodate her.
Maybe Pink will be in the red when it comes tax time next year. It would serve her right for being filled with so much hate and demonstrating intolerance to other points of view.

3. Profit ahead of people
You might think I am referring to the pharmaceutical companies and while that is a good guess and quite true, this time I am referring to the hospital systems across this nation. Hospitals were enticed to admit people with Covid (even if that was not the primary reason for being at the hospital or in some cases, whether they actually had Covid) and then put them on ventilators. Turns out that was not the way to treat people with Covid and there were indications of this early on. The problem is a Covid patient was worth about $13,000 but one on a vent was worth $39,000. Hospitals put people on vents even though it was a death sentence because they could get a lot of money doing so.
I said early on that vents were not the way to go. People needed a high volume of oxygen but at low pressure so that cells could get O2 into them. It was discovered that high flow nasal cannulas with a lot of humidified O2 was much better for patients. Doctors at UChicago Medicine used these cannulas on 24 patients, Only one required intubation after 10 days. It is reported that the Chinese figured this out early and made a fortune selling their ventilators to other countries.
There are lots of people who discuss how many people died in the US from Covid. I wonder how many of them would have lived if they were not considered secondary to the money that could be made. How many of them would be alive if simple things like Ivermectin and high flow nasal cannulas had been used?
Then again, the pharma companies needed their cut too and they could not belly up to the trough if we used effective methods to treat people.
Don’t trust government and do not trust big entities that are easily enticed with taxpayer dollars.
We need a lot of investigations.
4. Speaking of investigations
Dr. Deborah Birx lied to the nation and manipulated data and altered CDC guidelines in order to deceive President Trump. A lot of people will call Trump the bad guy and lay things for Covid at his feet but the so called scientists (follow the science) who were there to help him were actually working against him AT YOUR EXPENSE.
Birx is no different. In her new book she explains how she knew the vaccines would not work. She discusses manipulating data. Her belief is that the vaccines were overplayed. She admits she knew they would not protect against infection and yet she pushed them on people.
This woman is a subversive and should be treated as such. Forget anyone from J6 and throw her in jail.
I hope the Republicans investigating all this will not overlook her.
Senator Rand Paul is itching to get a crack at Dr. Fauci. He needs to throw Birx into the mix. Maybe we can force them both to forfeit their eye popping retirement checks.
If Donald Trump wins again he needs a better way to vet people. He needs to fire all these back stabbers and put his own people in place.
Birx is responsible for a lot of deaths.
5. Trump was right with regard to Biden and Ukraine
Remember when Donald Trump spoke with the Ukranian president and told him he needed to look into the Biden’s business dealings in that country? The left impeached him for it and they did so because Trump was very close to the actual truth of what was going on.
Turns out though, he was probably getting lip service since the Ukranian president is as corrupt as the Bidens. When Russia invaded that nation Zelensky gave an order for all information relating to Hunter Biden and a company his investment firm was heavily invested in, Metabiota, to be destroyed.
That very day government officials were seen burning a lot of documents. This is deep swamp level stuff here and the Bidens are neck deep in that swamp.
Why Trump thought he would get help is beyond me. Zelensky is like an American liberal. He begs for free stuff and when you give it to him he begs for even more. Every time this guy gets bilions of dollars he turns around and says it is not enough, he needs more.
And watch, when this is over (assuming Ukraine wins) he will be begging for billions of dollars to rebuild his country and no matter how much he gets he will complain that it is not enough.
We owe them nothing. I would love to see them beat Russia and embarass that country but not at the expnse of the hard earned money the government confiscates from me and not at the expense of equipment that this nation needs to protect itself.
Russia should not have invaded a sovereign nation. BUT we should not be giving Ukraine billions of dollars worth of stuff. That action will eventually lead to escallation and that means World War III is right around the corner. Worse yet, it could incite the Russians to use nuclear weapons or strike some of our cities with hypersonic missiles.
A few short months ago Joe Biden said he would not send tanks to Ukraine because that would mean starting WWIII. Then Joe came to us and let us know he sent Abrams main battle tanks to Ukraine. He said sending tanks would start WWIII and then he sent tanks.
Is there any doubt about what outcome Joe wants?
6. Captain Kirk where are you
Up in New York and New Jersey along the shore there where the Atlantic Ocean is being defiled by the placement of windmills a strange thing is happening. Humpback whales are dying and washing up on shore (or they are beaching themselves and dying). It appears that the sonar or sound waves used by the companies doing the work to install windmills is affecting the whales. The usual suspects one would expect to pitch a fit about this are amazingly silent and the green energy zealots are ignoring the deaths of these whales so they can have their wind farms.
Ten whales have been found along the beach over the last few months. Huge creatures that were once hunted to near extinction have partially recovered only to once again be the victims of man’s selfishness. The latest was just this week.
I know how this will all play out. In the year 2286 a large probe will appear in out solar system and disable everything in its path. It will play strange complex songs that no one will understand. Failing to get a response, the probe will start to destroy the earth. Captain Kirk of the United Federation of Planets (home of origin earth) will have to go back in time to rescue two humpback whales to keep the earth from being destroyed.
This voyage home will save mankind from its shortsightedness.
I have a better idea. Regardless of what the “experts” say, how about we stop the work in the Atlantic and study it. Perhaps the work can be done when the whales are someplace else. They are migratory so maybe there is a time when they are somplace else. We should be sure to check the impact on other creatures as well.
It amazes me how these animals are protected and hunting them has been banned but they can still be killed off and not one of the people who claim to be environmentalists and nature lovers bats an eye…
I won’t be here in 2286. But I might be when when Kirk has to come back to this point in time. I hope he phasers all the people responsible.

Democrats Are Good At Pointing Fingers

We know that Democrats are good at blaming others for their shortcomings. Barack Obama displays this regularly when he blames George Bush for everything that is wrong and when he blames Republicans for things that he is responsible for.
Harry Reid is a typical liberal Democrat who needs to retire and yell at kids walking on his lawn. Reid is blaming the problems in Crimea on Republicans. It seems that Republicans held up aid to Ukraine because the bill includes changes to the IMF. Reid complained that the bill was held up prior to the last break and now that they are back at work the Republicans need to do something so we can show we are committed.
[note]If it was that important then why did they recess and go on a break?[/note]
Harry blamed the Republicans saying that their refusal to comply endangered our national security.
“As we begin debate on this aid and sanctions package, I also hope that the Republicans stopped action on this legislation prior to the break have considered how their obstruction affects our great country’s national security as well as the people of Ukraine who are struggling so very, very much,” Reid said on the floor.
Reid said that Republicans blocking action on the bill sent “a very weak message to the Russians” that the U.S. was taking its time, saying since the bill failed to advance, Russia has been aggressive in the Crimean region of Ukraine.
“It’s impossible to know whether events would have unfolded differently if the United States had responded to this Russian aggression with a strong unified voice, which we did not do,” Reid said. [Politico]
First of all the situation in Ukraine has little to do with our immediate national security (once again, if it does why did they go on break). The Russians did not attack us though their action might cause us to react because of treaties. They only thing they really did was demonstrate that we have a weak leader in Obama. Putin has made Obama look like a child on the playground of life.
That leads to the second point. The refusal of Republicans to act on the bill did not demonstrate weakness, Barack Obama did. He believes that all he has to do is speak and people will be hypnotized by his message. Putin was having none of that and, recognizing he was dealing with a weakling, pressed on.
The final point is that it is not impossible to know if things would have unfolded differently, they would not have. Sarah Palin and Mitt Romney warned of this years ago. They were both mocked and criticized by Obama and his cronies.
Turns out they were right.
Putin has known for a while that Obama is weak. He demonstrated that in the Syrian issue and he knew that he could outplay Obama on the world stage and that Obama would not have the testicular fortitude to do anything.
Putin was right and that, Harry, is why things happened the way they did. The Russians forced their will on the people of Crimea and are turning toward Ukraine to do the same.
You Harry, should understand forcing something on people who do not want it.
We call it Obamacare.
