Time For Boehner And McConnell To Redeem Themselves

Treasury Secretary Lew has informed Speaker John Boehner that the US will hit the debt ceiling on 16 March. Treasury would then be required to take extraordinary measures to keep government running and those measures would be exhausted by the final Quarter of the calendar year.
I am not a fan of raising the debt ceiling. I think that instead of raising the limit the amount we are spending should be reduced. The government is taking in record amounts of revenue from taxes but continues to spend more than it gets. Raising the ceiling would not (allegedly) involve new spending. Lew says that it would make sure that money is available to pay for things we have already obligated to. That just means we spent more than we had and now we need more to pay the bills.
This is the time for Boehner and McConnell to step up and redeem themselves over their poor performance regarding funding the DHS and Obama’s illegal executive action.
Boehner and McConnell should insist that getting rid of the illegal executive action (on immigration) by Obama is part of the deal. In fact, they should try to get everything they can as part of the deal. Democrats will balk and scream for a “clean” bill but they got a clean bill for DHS. Now it is time for them to step up.
The thing is these two spineless “leaders” will need to stand fast on their demands or the Democrats will own them once again. They need to be out forming the narrative NOW by telling people what they will do and that if Democrats do not go along they and ONLY THEY will be responsible for the government defaulting.
Put the onus on the Democrats and keep hammering them. Make it all about their unwillingness to compromise. Show them as the bad guys and associate all bad things that might come as being their fault.
I don’t want to see the ceiling raised. We keep adding to the mountain of debt we already have and it will not get better if they refuse to fix the problems that require them to spend more (ie out of control spending, unconstitutional programs, out of control welfare). If we can get a number of concessions for raising the ceiling then it will be worth it this time though if Boehner and McConnell had any guts it would not be necessary.
While I would like to see these two play hardball and ram this down the throats of the Democrats I am pretty sure they will end up looking like dumb and dumber when all is said and done.
It is likely they will raise the limit, give the Democrats everything they want, screw conservatives and the nation and end up telling us it was the best they could do and we should just sit back and take it.
These two could not lead a group of people out of a burning building so it is very unlikely they will actually do anything worthwhile on this issue.
Obama once said adding to the debt and burdening future generations with debt was unpatriotic. Obama and his Democrats, by that definition, are unpatriotic.
Unfortunately, a number of Republicans are unpatriotic as well.
One day we will be led by people who are not part of the establishment and who will get things under control.
Unless, of course, the current crop of morons kills the nation off before then…

Obama In His Own Words – Again

We already know that Barack Obama is not a leader by his own admission. In 2008 he said that when George Bush asked for a debt ceiling increase that it demonstrated a lack of leadership. Obama, as the White House occupant, asked for a debt ceiling increase which means, he lacks leadership. He fit how he defined it so he is it. He also voted against the debt ceiling increase Bush wanted but then he and his party labeled the GOP as hostage takers, terrorists and putting party over country for not voting to raise the debt ceiling (or agreeing to the stupidity the Democrats wanted).
It would appear that Barack Obama is irresponsible and unpatriotic as well.

Barack Obama was talking about Bush and his record over an eight year period. In just under three years Barack Obama has increased our national debt by $4 TRILLION himself. Obama increased the debt in under three years by the same amount Bush did in eight years. Obama said that what Bush did was irresponsible and unpatriotic.
This means that based on Obama’s definition, he himself is irresponsible and unpatriotic.
It is also ironic that Obama mentions Bush taking out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children when his own Vice President, Joe Biden, is in China right now with his hat in his hand asking the Chinese to increase the credit limit on that bank card.
Even if Obama is only in office for one term it is certain that he will surpass the debt that George Bush added to our country and by quite a bit.
There is no way for him to avoid doing so because it is absolutely certain that Obama will not half our debt deficit** by the end of his first term, as he promised.
The GOP needs to take all these positions Obama had back then and use them against him in the next election.
Call the campaign “One and Done” and subtitle it, even Obama does not agree with what Obama has done…

Give Us Your Tired, Weary, Illegals…

The Obama regime is granting amnesty by fiat and allowing illegals the regime deems pose no threat to national security to stay in the US. It is bad enough that the government refuses to secure our borders and prevent people from walking in but now it is allowing those it catches to continue on as if they broke no laws.
I know the argument. These poor folks are children of people who came here illegally. They had no choice in the matter and they grew up here so why send them away? Because they are here illegally. Not to mention that those who are not adults are kept here and their parents then stay so we do not split up the families.
The Congress has been fiddling with legislation to address illegal immigration and it has been stalled in Congress for quite some time. Let’s face it, Democrats don’t want to lose their voting base.
So instead of allowing the process, as slow as it is, to work things out, the Obama regime has just decided to bypass Congress and do what it wants via fiat.
This should come as no surprise. Obama and his regime do not like the Constitution and these people do not like the constraints placed on them. They have an agenda to push and they will not let the law of the land get in the way.
This, of course, is a move to placate illegal immigrants and their support groups before the next election. Obama made a ton of promises to his illegal supporters and he has been unable to fulfill them so he is bypassing Congress in order to appease those who have no say in things. He is shoring up his base so he can get the Hispanic vote.
Period.
This moron is playing politics with our sovereignty and our national security in order to get votes.
How is it that this guy claims to love America and then pushes on to fundamentally transform her? If you love her why does she need fundamental transformation?
The only conclusion is that he hates America as it is and will not be happy until his Socialist dreams are realized.
Maybe they need to organize a flash mob on DC and get rid of all the dead wood…

Wouldn’t A True Patriot Spare Three Minutes?

There have been accusations that Barack Obama is unpatriotic and that he cares little about the country. He was not wearing a Flag pin until it became an issue and he did not place his hand over his heart when respect for the flag was called for. Obama wants to bring our troops home in defeat but we are not supposed to question his patriotism. I don’t think the wearing of a Flag pin makes one a patriot. Obama has one and he is no patriot. Failure to render proper respect shows a lack of knowledge or lack of willingness, neither of which is acceptable. And yes, I am questioning his patriotism and I don’t care if he likes it or not.
Wouldn’t a true patriot spare three minutes for the National Anthem? I just want to know if a true patriot would do something unpatriotic because it would cost about three minutes?
You see, the Obama campaign canceled the singing of the National Anthem at an event in New Hampshire because they needed to make room for another speaker.
[Londonderry senior Zach] Bencal, who sings the anthem for a number of school events and is actively involved in local community theatre [sic], had been contacted by the Obama campaign to sing the anthem. He agreed to do so, then was told later in the evening the anthem had been scratched from the program. Bencal said he was told by the campaign the decision was a simple programming change to make room for another speaker. Union Leader
How important could that person have been that a song which lasts about three minutes had to be scratched to make room? Did this important speaker only talk for three minutes or did this person speak for much longer than that? Why would the addition of another speaker cancel the singing of our National Anthem?
There was no reason whatsoever for canceling the singing of our National Anthem at this event and the very act of doing so demonstrates that Obama and his campaign have little respect for this country or its anthem. The three minutes it would have taken to sing the song is too much of an inconvenience for Obama and his band of unpatriotic cretins.
There is just no logical reason to do this and I can only conclude that Obama is unpatriotic. I welcome any other views that might be able to better explain it because it seems to me that they could have cut the campaign music and kept the Anthem, if time was really a concern.
Everyday on military posts throughout the world American men and women in uniform stop to pay respect to the flag when it is raised in the morning and when it is lowered in the evening. The songs played vary by service but this is done, twice a day, each and every day.
Why is it the man who wants to lead the troops as Commander in Chief can’t find three minutes to honor the Flag they fight for and are carried under when they make the ultimate sacrifice?
Obama is not ready to lead.

If You Don’t Vote Obama You Are An Unpatriotic Racist

I wrote earlier about the line I have heard for a while and that is, if you don’t vote for Obama you are a racist. This is becoming a more common theme as The One fails to take control of the election and faces the real possibility that he will lose. His surrogates are out in full force and they are playing a complete deck of race cards and they are dealing from the bottom. The sleazy Obama campaign used Rush Limbaugh’s words out of context so it could pander to Hispanics. Limbaugh had this reaction.
Today, two more Obama surrogates from Ohio came forward to call Democrats and Independents who will not vote for Obama racists and said that not voting for him would be unpatriotic:
Monday afternoon, state Representatives Bob Hagan of Youngstown and Tom Letson of Warren met with reporters.
They argue many voters who call themselves “Democrats” or “Independents”, but won’t vote for Obama, have only one excuse, with Letson saying, “I would say that a lot of it is they’re not going to vote for ‘the black guy'”.
Hagan called the issue “unpatriotic,” adding those not willing to vote for Obama need “to face that fact. That that’s not acceptable in America.”
Both men say they will work to convince those “swing voters” to change their minds between now and election day.WYTV
I think it is worthwhile to take a look at this. Since only Independents and Democrats are mentioned, Republicans who do not vote for Obama are not racists and they are patriots.
If we accept that not voting for Obama is unpatriotic and racist as true then it would mean the converse is also true. Those who vote for Obama are not racist and are patriots. Joe Biden, Obama’s running mate, said that it is patriotic to pay more in taxes.
So, a vote for Obama is patriotic and paying more taxes is patriotic, therefore a vote for Obama is a vote for more taxes. No surprise there.
However, let me educate these two dim witted liberal morons. There are plenty of people who do not care what color Obama is. They oppose his policies and what he wants to do to this country or they feel he is not experienced enough for the job. There are many, many reasons that people will not vote for Obama and NONE of them have to do with being racist. This is nothing more than a strong armed tactic designed to play on white guilt and try to make people believe they are racist if they don’t vote for The One. Remember people, the ballot is secret so you may vote for whom you want. Also, you are not racist because you do not vote for Obama anymore than you are an ageist or a sexist if you don’t vote for McCain/Palin.
This is the way the left thinks. They believe that their views are so natural and so good that there must be something wrong with a person who will not vote for their candidates. In the case of Obama, race MUST be the only reason because, naturally, no person in his right mind could disagree with his positions. It never occurs to the left that people could actually disagree with their views.
I am a conservative Republican so, according to these guys, I must vote against Obama so I won’t be racist or unpatriotic. Happy to oblige!
For you Independents and Democrats who don’t want to vote for him then don’t. If you are worried about the racist tag, this will ease your mind. Obama is half white so just vote against that half of the man.
As for your patriotism, you are displaying it when you go out and vote regardless of who the vote is for. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
BTW, would these people be unpatriotic racists?
