Code Pink is Absolutely Right

Code Pink has been outside a Marine recruiting station in Berkeley California for some time now. They have gotten special treatment from the town government and they have been allowed to protest the Marines. They have been loud and obnoxious and they are lucky that someone has not wiped the street up with them and despite their dwindling numbers and the relative ineffectiveness of their protests, they continue on. They have themes to liven things up and add some spice to their otherwise boring lives of unemployment. They have a theme for tomorrow and for the first time I must say that Code Pink has hit the nail on the head. They are 100% correct with their theme and I actually agree with them.
Tomorrow’s theme is witches, clowns, and sirens. I can think of few other themes that would fit Code Pink and its members as accurately as this one. Those that I can come up with are not suitable for mention in polite company so these are the next best and describe these people to a tee. They are witches, they are certainly clowns and they act like sirens1 in that they would love to lead our military (and our country) to destruction by continually singing a tired old tune.
Yes America, as much as I hate to admit it I agree with Code Pink 100% and they have my complete backing with their theme for tomorrow. I could not agree more with them and I think they have finally spelled out what they really are.

Can Islam Take Over?

In Pat Buchanan’s latest book, “Day of Reckoning” he makes the argument that Islam poses little threat to the US because they share the same religious ideology but are very diverse otherwise. He also indicates that we could be attacked, as we were on 9/11, but that we could weather those attacks and that Islam, or Muslim nations, could not come into the US and take over. He likens the potential attacks to our dropping nuclear bombs on Japan. They are smaller and yet they were able to recover and become a productive nation. Of course, this idea is only tolerable if you or your family are not caught up in the attack. I imagine that while Japan recovered many family lines were eliminated and no amount of recovery will ever change that (not that I have a problem with what we did back then).
I agree that the nations that are Islamic could not waltz into the US and fight us. We would slaughter them as millions of gun owners took liberties with the enemy’s lives. However, Buchanan seems to base his conclusion on them coming here as aggressors and taking us by force. In reality, they could take over much the same way the Mexicans are retaking the south. They can continue to arrive here and then when they are sufficient in number (their birth rates are way up and ours is barely sufficient to sustain our population) they can exert political pressure in order to achieve their goal of imposing Sharia Law on the world.
Interestingly, Buchanan, in his book “State of Emergency”, discussed the take over of America by our neighbors to the south and he discussed at length how they could eventually retake the south unless we did something to stop the flow. However, he seems to ignore that this very thing could happen with the Muslim population as well. They are well rooted and have their advocacy arm in CAIR, a group that is hell bent on making the mere thought of something bad toward Islam a criminal offense.
Buchanan addressed the heavy Muslim population in Europe and discussed how they are taking over and yet he seems to think this is not something that can happen here. One can argue whether it was wise to go to war over there but the fact remains that they can, and will if we let them, take over this country. It is one thing to say that they cannot beat us in a fight but it is another to ignore the plight of Europe and say it could not happen here. One only needs to listen to the Imams, Clerics and other leaders to realize that world domination is their goal.
Cleric Irshad added: “I’m ready to become a suicide bomber and lay down my life for Islam. My friends are already doing this to the invading British forces in Afghanistan.
“Democracy is wrong. I hope Britain and the rest of the world will have sharia law this century. We will continue to sacrifice our lives to achieve this.†The Sun UK
These are not isolated words. One hears them again and again coming from Mosques all around the world. Some of those very Mosques are right here in America. When one has an enemy it is wise to listen to what the enemy says it wants to do. Failure to pay attention or absolute ignorance leads to complacency and eventually to defeat.
One other thing that is important to remember; our enemies have help from inside the US. The Democrats are invested in our defeat and liberal activist courts continue to make rulings that cause more and more Americans to fear saying anything about suspicious activities that involve Muslims. We continue to placate them so as not to offend them at the expense of the non Muslim people in this country. The Democratic Party is full of socialists and they were full of Communists over 50 years ago. It was, after all, that party that allowed the Communists to get into our government. It is not a stretch to say that the very same party would allow Islam a foot in the door and would help them all in the name of diversity and understanding.
I respect Pat Buchanan and I think he is a great writer with very good insight. However, he misses the boat on this issue and that is dangerous. We should be ever vigilant and work hard to protect this country from those who would hurt us including the enemy within.
Tigers Prefer Taste of Moonbats

A tiger escaped from a zoo in San Francisco and killed one man and injured two others before police were able to shoot it and put it out of its misery. The three men were minding their own business when the tiger appeared and decided to have one of them for lunch. I imagine the moonbats did not perceive the tiger as a threat and that if they only reasoned with it, all would be well. This is how I think the conversation might have gone:
Moonbat 1: Here it is, another Holiday Season, and Chimpy McBush still has troops in Iraq in his illegal war. There was no threat to us and he used his doctrine of preemptive strike to upset the entire Muslim world. We cannot bring democracy to a region that does not want it.
Moonbat 2: If only we would have tried diplomacy and talked to Hussein we could have seen that he was no threat and we would not be in this war that costs billions of dollars and instead used that money for AIDS research and on paying for services for illegal immigrants.
Moonbat 3: Look, a tiger. Now most neocons would see this tiger as a threat. But if we are nice to it then it will not hurt us. Here kitty kitty. Listen to him purr, Ahhhhhhh my arm!
Moonbat 1: Oh God, the tiger is eating Stefan. (sounds of screaming and tiger chewing).
Moonbat 2: Call the police. We need a gun, who has a gun? Oh man, Ahhh.
Police show up and kill the tiger. One moonbat dead and two injured.
If this had happened in Texas the conversation would have been:
Texan 1: Look at that damned tiger. Where’d he come from?
Texan 2: I don’t know but call the cops. I’ll shoot the damned thing if it gets close.
Texan 3: Here he comes. (blam, blam, blam, blam, blam, blam [reloading sounds] blam, blam, blam).
Texan 1: He’s dead. Thank God we shot him before he attacked anyone. Who wants the head for his den wall?
Texan 2: Good thing we are allowed to carry guns. I would hate to see what would have happened if this had been San Francisco.
The lesson: Sometimes preemptive strikes are good and people are only safe if they are armed.

Let’s Leave Iran Alone

The report is out and the intelligence community has weighed in on Iran and it has determined that Iran has no nukes and that while they might acquire the capability to build them, they are not yet at that state. Basically, according to the intelligence community, Iran does not pose a threat. Never mind the fact that this is the same intelligence community that said Iran was working on nukes and never mind the fact that Israel has a vastly different opinion. We should also ignore the fact that Iran stopped working on its nuclear program and then started back up without anyone knowing and that they deliberately took actions to keep from being detected. We should also forget that the people telling us Iran is not a threat is the same community that missed 9/11 completely.
I think we should just leave them alone and let them do whatever they want because if we try to stop them now then everyone and their brother will scream that they had no nukes or no WMD. We will be looked at as aggressors rather than the liberators that we have been throughout history. People have used the “we found no WMD” mantra to question the validity of the war in Iraq despite the fact that WMD constituted a very small portion of the resolution for going in there and people seem to forget that Hussein actually used WMD on his enemies as well as his own people. Iran has shown that it cannot be trusted but that should really be none of our business. No matter what they build it is unlikely it can reach the US or that they can get it here so we should be safe.
Let the Russians and the Europeans worry about the fallout from a nuclear blast, should Iran develop a nuke. If they never develop one then it was prudent not to go after them and if they do build one then those who said they would were right and those affected can pay the consequences for not listening. However, any person (or nation) who opposes interfering with Iran and its nuclear ambitions now will have no right to blame their development of nuclear weapons on George Bush. Any member of the US Congress that does should be immediately taken to Gitmo and left there until they die. Any nation that has the audacity to blame it on him should be cut off from the world. This scenario is not beyond belief. Bill Clinton gave nuclear technology to the North Koreans and then Bush was blamed for “taking his eye off them” when they ended up testing a nuclear device.
I say the hell with Iran and let’s just ignore them. We will have proof of their nuclear ambitions when they announce they have the weapon (they wouldn’t lie, now would they) or when they launch one. In any event, we will then have the provocation we need to send about a hundred thousand Tomahawks toward their country and wipe that miserable place off the map. I bet then the naysayers will want action.
Of course, this all assumes that Israel is going to play the wussy games that the US is playing and sit idly by while Iran develops a weapon that will be used to destroy that country. If Israel gets fed up Iran might not exist too much longer.
Tough sanctions are needed right now and without them the world will be getting what it asked for. We need members of the UN Security Council to sanction Iran and we need the damned Russians and Chinese to get on board with the program instead of selling the Iranians what they need to make war.
I believe we should try diplomacy first but sine the diplomats are cowards and will not go practice diplomacy we are left with few choices should things get dicey.
The old Goodwrench commercial used to say; “You can pay me now or you can pay me later.” If we don’t do something now (like sanction Iran) then someone will pay for it later. It will be harder, of course, because Iran looks at the latest intelligence report as a declaration of surrender.
The only way to deal with Muslims is to be tough and to never back down. Thanks to the spineless people in our intelligence community and the greedy rulers of Russia and China, we will have a tougher road to travel from this point forward.
Democrats Fail to Support the Troops

Too often the word is put out that the Democratic Party supports the troops and anyone who dares to question that is castigated by anyone associated with that group. People can’t really be blamed for the perception that the Democrats do not support the troops because they have a strange way of showing their support. In the past year they have voted on over 40 pieces of legislation designed to hurt the mission and to lose the war. They opposed the troop surge and now that the evidence is clear that the surge is providing benefits they claim it is not and that a decorated general is a liar. They have trumpeted the cry that we have lost the war and they wave the white flag in front of our enemies. This is what passes as support and how dare anyone question that. The same holds true with funding the war.
The Democrats have tried very hard to take money away from the troops who are in harm’s way. They haggle over cut and run strategies while those who are in harm’s way are denied the very items they need to survive. The Democrats have taken a beating from their fringe kooks who have chided them every time they voted for more money yet the Democrats are never voting to fund the troops. They are voting on a military package that they have loaded with pork because they realize this is the only way to push their unpopular agenda. They have added minimum wage increases and all kinds of other items that have nothing to do with the war to the spending bill because they know that the President will sign it as long as it does not have a time line for withdraw.
After taking a beating for the past year the Democrats are again playing politics with our troops. The president has asked for $196 billion to continue the war effort and the Democrats have responded by offering a $50 billion dollar package but only if it contains provisions for the withdrawal of our troops. They want to begin bringing them home by the end of December and have them completely out by the end of next year. This is a debate that has been rejected time and again so now the Democrats, fed up with the beating they are taking, have decided that they will not provide any money unless it includes a cut and run strategy. This is going to cause problems.
The Pentagon has announced that about 200,000 federal employees will be furloughed between now and February if the money is not authorized. The Secretary of Defense has reported that many military bases will operate with only enough people to provide protective services (fire, police, security) for the people living on those bases. The furlough notices will go out before Christmas and people will begin being told to stay home just after the first of the year. The troops will not have money or equipment and now they will not have the federal employees here to support them and their mission. This is nothing but pure politics and it comes at the cost of peoples paychecks which is always bad but even more so around this time of the year. Even more importantly, our troops will be placed in increased danger because of the politics of the Democratic Party, a party that does not have the guts to just cut off all funding for the war.
The Democrats have failed to pass any of the required budget items this year. They are months overdue and it does not look like they will be getting this accomplished any time soon. In addition to neglecting their Constitutional duties with regard to the budget, they have also neglected their Constitutional duty to provide for our war fighters.
So I have news for you Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and all you other left wing pukes. Don’t you dare tell me that you support the troops. Don’t you dare come out and act like you care about them and don’t you discuss how wonderful your party is with regard to them. You have abandoned them time and again and you have put their mission and their safety in jeopardy. If you ever say that you support the troops again someone should punch you right in the mouth.
I want the people in this country to remember that it is the Democrats who are screwing our troops. No matter who gets the nod in the primaries, none of them are fit to serve as Commander in Chief. The ones who are in Congress have voted to cut funding for the troops. They want to be the leaders of the greatest military in the world and yet they lack the guts to properly fund the people who make up that military and whose lives depend on Congress doing its damned job. This should be a wake up call to those who are sitting on the fence with regard to the next election. None of the Democrats are fit to serve. They are selling out our troops and are selling out our country. To hell with all of them. It is also important to remember that many of the ones who are not running for the presidency are up for reelection next year. It is time to send everyone of them packing.
Obviously, the Congress has to appropriate money for their own salaries and they need to send that to the President to be signed. The President should veto the appropriation for their pay until they get money to the troops without the strings attached. If the Congress votes to override the veto for their own pay it will send a clear message that they care about their own asses more than they care about our troops.
My challenge to the twits in Congress is simple. Either cut off all funding for the war completely right now or appropriate the money needed to properly fund them. You have the power to vote to end the authority for the war and to end the funding. Ask your older colleagues, they know how from their cut and run days during Vietnam. If you oppose the war have the testicular fortitude to cut off the funding and bring the troops home. Otherwise, let the President run the military and you fund it as the Constitution spells out. I realize you don’t want to be seen as weak on national security or not supportive of the troops but believe me, that ship has sailed.
Your party is weak on national security and none of you filthy slugs supports the troops. Perhaps instead of asking Hillary about what jewelry she prefers someone could ask this stinking wench why she does not support the troops.
And President Bush, let me show you how to deal with these jackasses. Tell them that you will veto every thing they send up until you get the money for the military and that there will be no money for anything including their staff and all federal employees will be furloughed, including Congress, if they don’t get their act together.
