Walker, Tax-Less Ranger
Jun 6, 2012 Political
Governor Scott Walker of Wisconsin comfortably won the recall election the left worked to get (be careful what you ask for…). By now you know the story. Walker was elected, changed the collective bargaining terms of unions and worked to balance the state budget (which now has a surplus). The public sector union thugs were not happy and worked on a recall, a recall that the left across the nation supported (important to mention). The recall happened and despite support from the unions and liberals all across this nation Walker won.
The left is now saying the recall did not matter to liberals and it has no indications outside of Wisconsin because it was just a state recall issue. Lest we allow the left to rewrite history, here is a video of how they felt then and how they are talking now.
Barack Obama decided not to actively engage in this recall and a lot of Democrats are very unhappy about that. One wonders how they will respond later this year when Obama asks for their support in getting him reelected considering he did not support them in the recall.
Time will tell but I think Wisconsin is now in play for Republicans. Democrats there might not want to vote for the Republican but on Election Day they might decide to pull an Obama and stay out of the race.
Moonbats (there is a word I have not used in a while) have been showing how unhinged they are over the Walker victory.
Twitter lit up with death threats to Walker and his family.
Woman slaps Barrett for conceding.
Anti-Walker moron cries that Democracy Died Tonight. [Author note: Good, we do not live in a Democracy, we live in a Republic and Walker is ensuring we stay there]
And my favorite, Teary eyed Ed Schultz of PMSNBC laments the loss.
Why all the anger? The liberals realize this is a death blow to the public sector unions. The people of Wisconsin saw that Walker’s plan was working and that they were doing better. They realized all the doom and gloom predicted by their union puppet masters never came to pass. They saw that what Walker is doing is good and will help the state stay in the black instead of swimming in red ink, the result of what the recall supporters wanted to return to.
And why the angst among liberals across the nation? Because the plan that Walker instituted is working, it is a plan for success and it is the exact OPPOSITE of what Obama is doing. Walker showed the right way to do things and it is nothing like what Obama is doing.
And the Democrats are suddenly realizing that the electorate is not as stupid as they thought. The Democrats have been shown that people will choose fiscal responsibility over foolish, out of control spending.
Unions have seen that when people are not forced to join, they don’t and that people no longer think it is OK to be fleeced by fat cat thug union leaders.
Not everyone is on board and there are still people who think they should be allowed to continue getting “free” stuff from gubmint. There are those who are not able to think for themselves and who refuse to leave the plantation.
There will always be those kinds among us but the majority, at least for one night, saw the light.
Walker brought reasonable austerity measures, lower taxes, and control of the union mess to Wisconsin.
He also brought the nation something. Well, the Democrats actually did. By recalling Walker they showed the entire nation how ugly and mean they are and how Walker’s plan is working.
They also brought us closer to a major victory in November as the tide starts to move away from Hope and Change to real leadership.
Congratulations to Governor Scott Walker and the people of Wisconsin. Well fought and righteously won!
Cave canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

Michael Moore Is Still At It
Mar 6, 2011 Political
Michael Moore flew to Wisconsin to stir up trouble, I mean support the PUBLIC sector union employees. Moore, who thinks we have plenty of money and that the money people have is a natural resource that belongs to everyone, said that this episode has awakened a sleeping giant. Moore put it this way:
Right now the Earth is shaking and the ground is shifting under the feet of those who are in charge…
…America is not broke … Wisconsin is not broke,” Moore said. “The only thing that’s broke is the moral compass of the rulers. Wisconsin State Journal
Given the stature of the rotund movie producer the shaking ground was probably a result of his walking on it.
Moore is among the group of people who see absolutely nothing wrong with public sector union employees bargaining with politicians for the money of the taxpayer while the taxpayer has no say in the matter. To make a bad thing worse, those unions then get paid dues (which ultimately come from the taxpayer) and spend them on Democrats.
All people who pay taxes have their money taken by force and then laundered through unions so it ends up in the pockets of Democrats. It is an incestuous relationship where the taxpayer foots the bill and has no say.
Why should public sector union employees be allowed to bargain for deals that are better than the ones the people who pay them have? Why is it that the federal employees do not have these same bargaining powers and seem to get along just fine? All the things that private sector union employees have fought for regarding safety and a fair pay work environment are already in place in the public sector. How many public sector employees are in a bad way because of terrible working conditions and long hours with no pay? How many work in unsafe environments (not including inherently unsafe jobs like say, being a soldier) and are at risk every day?
NONE
The taxpayers foot the bill so there is no way that they get a fair shake in the situation.
Public sector employees do not need unions and they do not need the protection that unions are supposed to provide (I think all of them have outlived their usefulness but certainly the public sector has).
Moore also states there is plenty of money. He and people like him claim we are not broke. We borrow about 40% of the money we spend and we have a deficit that exceeds 14 TRILLION dollars. That ladies and gentlemen, is BROKE.
This is unsustainable and it would only take one of our creditors to demand payment of our debt for us to be in a dire situation.
Our debt situation is the same as Social Security. Government collected money for SS from employees and then took the money and issued a Treasury Note for it. Then government spent the money so there is no money to pay back on the notes. If SS needs money the government has to borrow it to pay our obligations. If government had left the money alone there would be plenty to pay the recipients without borrowing. But since government could not keep its greedy little hands off that money we now have to borrow and we have to force people to pay more into SS or raise the retirement age to keep the scheme solvent. There is likely no way that those who make a fair amount of money and had the sense to save will ever draw that to which they are entitled.
SS and Medicare are a huge part of the budget and we cannot meet those obligations. We continue to borrow money to meet out obligations and the deficit continues to rise.
That is absolutely the definition of BROKE.
Despite what Moore and the uneducated among us claim, we do not have enough money to pay the bills. We take in less than we spend and unless we correct that we will continue to spiral out of control.
As for the money that is in the hands of the people, it belongs to them. It does not matter how wealthy they are or what they are doing with their money because it belongs to THEM.
Just ask Michael Moore. I am sure he can tell you that he is holding on to his money.
As for the moral compass being broke. The only moral compass that is broke is the one that leads people to believe that they are entitled to the fruits of another’s labor.
The compass that points to Moore’s kitchen however, seems to be working just fine…
Cave Canem!

AWOL Dems Need To Be Remembered In Next Election
Mar 4, 2011 Political
Elections have consequences as we have all been reminded since Obama was immaculated. The Obama, Pelosi, Reid cartel was fond of throwing its weight around and supporters agreed with what they did because, as they told us, elections have consequences. Obama told GOP leaders that he “won” which was his way of saying that is why things had to be done the way he wanted and why the opposition really did not have a seat at the table.
Well, elections do have consequences and the country has been seeing them unfold under the Obama regime. The November 2010 elections were the result of those consequences and the new set of consequences is that Republicans made huge gains at the federal and state level and now things are going to be done the way they want.
But Democrats, who told us about elections having consequences (you know, sit down and shut up), are not taking kindly to what happened. In a handful of states Democrats are fleeing in order to avoid the consequences of having lost. They do not want certain legislation to pass so they are abandoning the jobs they were elected to do in order to thwart the will of the people. As a Maryland Republican put it (when referring to a MD Democrat who was absent over a bill most Democrats support):
“As Republicans in Maryland, we get beat up on constantly. The trick is to be smarter, work harder and find ways to achieve as many victories as you can. But you can’t just leave because you’re not going to win.” Washington Post
You can’t just leave because you are not going to win. Suppose the federal politicians were able to walk out to keep votes from happening. Can you imagine how Democrats would have acted if it happened during the vote for Obamacare?
Elections have consequences and so do actions. The actions of Democrats led to their historic defeat in 2010. And now the actions of Democrat lawmakers who have gone AWOL should cause them to lose their jobs in the next election (if not sooner).
These people should not be paid and any privileges they have as lawmakers should be revoked.
And when they return they should be apprehended.
Most importantly, they should be fired in the next election.
As an aside, I find it interesting that Democrats called House Republicans in Wisconsin cowards after a vote on a bill. What does that make the Senators who fled to avoid their duties? To Democrats they are heroes.
Go figure.
Cave Canem!
Never surrender, never sublit.

More Crime In Wisconsin
Feb 20, 2011 Political
The Governor of the state of Wisconsin ran on a platform of getting the state budget under control and he has begun to do so. One of the things he is working on is to have teachers pay more of their benefits. The union member teachers in Wisconsin pay nearly nothing for retirement and not much more than that for their very good health care plan. The governor wants them to pay a bit more and that bit more still amounts to about half of what private sector employees pay.
This request from the governor has not been well received by the teachers and the union thugs. Throw in a smattering of race baiting poverty pimps and you have one hell of a mess. The teachers called out sick forcing the schools to close. These “sick” teachers then went to the capitol and protested.
This is crime number one. They called out sick and were not sick. They should not be paid for the days they were out sick and in the real world they would be fired.
This led to crime number two. Doctors showed up at the protests and started handing out notes excusing the people from work. These doctors did not examine anyone and it is unlikely a record of the “visit” was generated. The doctors are writing notes excusing people from work when those doctors did not examine them (in any meaningful medical way). This is a crime and it would be fitting if the doctors had their licenses revoked for fraudulent behavior.
Crime number three (which actually came earlier than the doctor crime) is that Democrat lawmakers left the state to avoid voting on the issue. The governor wants to remove collective bargaining for public employees allowing them only the ability to negotiate salary and the Democrats want nothing to do with it.
This seems reasonable and it is more than reasonable to expect these teachers to pay more for their benefits. I always hear Democrats cry about people paying their fair share. Let some rich guy get a tax break and he is not paying his fair share (even though the rich pay most of the taxes) but let Wisconsin teachers pay almost nothing for their benefits (which means TAXPAYERS foot the bill) and Democrats line up to defend them.
My friend Don Surber had an interesting item in his Daily Scoreboard:
12. From Fox News: “If changes aren’t made to the benefit contributions paid by Wisconsin’s nearly 300,000 public sector employees, about 10,000-12,000 workers will lose their jobs, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker warned Sunday.”
Looks like that many walked away from their jobs last week. Fire them and balance the budget.
This is a very astute observation. The union must agree to changes to benefit compensation or 10-12 thousand workers will have to be fired to make up the shortfall. The union is not interested in changing benefit compensation. About 10-12 thousand teachers walked off the job to protest after fraudulently calling out sick. Fire them and balance the budget and then work on raising how much public sector employees have to pay for benefits.
This whole crime ridden issue is backfiring on Democrats. They thought they had a lot of support but the cowardly Democrat politicians turned tail and ran while the Republicans stayed and tried to conduct business and they did so at great peril because angry union thugs bused in by the unions were causing problems and trying to intimidate people.
In the world of American media the Tea Party folks, who have never been violent, are accused of all kinds of violence but the violent left is not taken to task for its demonstrable acts of violence and intimidation.
The people of Wisconsin elected Republicans because they wanted these kinds of reforms. Now it is time for the people of the state to stand up to the violent left. The people, the ones who pay the bills, need to demand that those teachers who called out sick be fired. People should consider a tax revolt if the teachers are paid for their crime.
The people should also consider moving their children to private schools. The investment in their children’s future is well worth the money it costs. Considering some of the signs at the protests it is no wonder our children are not well educated. If teachers can’t spell or use words correctly then how can we expect the children they teach to do so.
Voters should remember those Democrats who ran away from their jobs and refused to do the work they were elected to accomplish. Recall them now or vote them out in the next election.
Finally, the people should see what doctors wrote the fake notes excusing protesters from work and never go to them or switch if they are their doctors.
One final thought. The left always says it is about the children but this is not about the children, it is about the teachers and their compensation (actually, their lucrative benefits package) and nothing more. These teachers called out sick and protested because they did not like something that affected them. This was not about the children.
But what lesson did these teachers teach their students? If you do not like something then refuse to do your work, lie about it and then protest until you get what you want.
So what happens the next time a teacher decides to have a test and the students in the class decide they do not want to take it? What happens if they all call out sick and then show up at school and protest the teacher? What happens if they have fake doctor notes to excuse them? No teacher has any authority to do anything to prevent such a situation because this is what they showed the students to do…
It is people like these teachers, these cowardly politicians, the doctors writing notes and the complacent media (along with the race baiting poverty pimps) that someone had in mind when the final syllable was added to the name of the state…
Do you suppose that Keith Olbermann would wonder where the black faces in the crowd were as he did during Tea Party rallies (they were there but the MSM ignored them)? Well, Jesse Jackson was there…
Cave Canem!
Never surrender, never submit.

Court Decides Cops Need No Warrant To Place GPS Trackers
May 11, 2009 Political
A Wisconsin Court ruled that the police did not need a warrant to put a GPS tracker on anyone’s vehicle. The case involved a man who was accused of stalking a person and the police obtained a warrant and placed a GPS on his car. They were able to determine that he was in fact stalking. So far, so good because they got a warrant.
The stalker, Michael Sveum, went to court to argue that his Fourth Amendment rights were violated and that police were able to track him in the privacy of his home (his car was parked in a garage). The court ruled that the tracker was not a search or seizure so Sveum’s rights were not violated. They did have a warrant for the tracker. So far, still so good.
Then the court ruled that a warrant was not necessary to put a GPS tracker on a vehicle even if the person who owns the car is not under suspicion of anything. In essence, if the cops want to track you they can even if they have no reason. The court ruled that the tracker does not provide any more information than the police could obtain by observing a person.
Does this mean they no longer require warrants to tap a phone? The tap does not provide any more information than the cops could have obtained if they were there listening.
The police should have some probable cause to follow a person and this includes putting trackers on cars. If there is no probable cause then they should not be allowed to place tracking devices on vehicles. This is why warrants are necessary. The warrants ensure that the police have a valid reason for tracking people (or listening in on them). There are laws that cover surveillance where a warrant is not needed but, in general, GPS trackers would not fall into that category.
This ruling is moronic and it opens the process to great abuse. Police officers could use trackers to track a person for profit (as in following some guy for a wife who thinks he is cheating). The police could put trackers on cars and then wait until they are parked at bars. They could then send police officers to follow the car when it leaves and invent probable cause to pull the person over and see if he has been drinking.
The process is in place to ensure the rights of the people. The guy in this case had no ground to stand on because the police had a warrant but the ruling now gives police officers greater access to the public and provides a greater possibility of abuse.
If I ever found a tracker on my car I would take it off and put it on a freight train heading across the country.
It is a sad day in America when a court decides that the police can tamper with private property whenever they want.
I wonder what will happen when a cop is placing one of these in the middle of the night and gets shot as a suspected car thief…
Could happen.*
