Mexican woman works hard to become a citizen

This woman, though dying, did it the right way and no one knows of her and her story fails to make the MSM. Instead, they are obsessed with a Mexican woman who sneaked into this country twice and broke a number of laws and then cried because she was being sent home. She is lucky because Judge Big Dog would have put her in prison for the fraud before she was sent home. This way she could pay for her crime and be prevented from sneaking in once again.

Freedom of religion, not freedom from it

A great article by Congressman Bill Sali of Idaho. He really lays it all out and makes it clear that this country was founded on Christian principles and that freedom of religion allows us all to practice our faith as we see fit. We need more people in office who understand this so that organizations like the ACLU, the Democrats, and the Muslims cannot take away basic rights that we all have.
BTW, the one thing our Constitution does not say is that you are free from being insulted.

Hippie Hillary

Hippie Hillary courts celebs

Hillary Rodham was in Martha’s Vineyard courting celebrities in order to gain support for her presidential campaign. Hillary told these folks that if George Bush will not end the war in Iraq before he leaves office she will once she is in. I don’t believe her for one minute. She will find reasons to keep the troops there and once she has been elected, screw you she can do what she wants. She will say and do anything to be elected. Look, she has changed positions on this one issue a number of times. She said it would be dangerous to remove the troops, then she said to remove them. She has had several positions and has flip-flopped a number of times. She panders to audiences. A leader takes a position and sticks with it. If that leader gains new information and changes his mind then the leader explains that decision. Hillary can not explain because her changes all depend upon who she is addressing. If Hillary is elected it will be a sure sign that God is unhappy with us. Satan will have arrived. She was elected to the Senate from New York and 9/11 happened. Surely she is to blame as God was mad with New Yorkers. That makes more sense than Bush was to blame or it was an inside job.

In regards to Elvira Arellano’s status and her immediate deportation after being picked up by ICE. Bravo!

Anchor babies should not be given US citizenship.

Elvira’s sense of her entitlement to stay in the United States was based solely upon having given birth to an illegitimate son, after committing identity fraud and reentering the country illegally after being deported.

Her son should have been deported with her. But the US government will not do it. Customs and Border Protection and Immigration and Customs Enforcement personnel allowed the child to remain in the United States.

The Fourteenth Amendment currently is being interpreted to grant automatic birthright citizenship to children born in the United States of illegal alien parents (called anchor babies because under the 1965 immigration Act, they act as an anchor that pulls the illegal alien mother and eventually a host of other relatives into permanent U.S. residency). This clearly is contrary to the original intent of Congress and the States in ratifying the Fourteenth Amendment.

I understand that the original intent of the 14th Amendment focused on injustices to African Americans. The 14th Amendment was ratified in 1868 to protect the rights of native-born Black Americans, whose rights were being denied as recently-freed slaves. It was written in a manner so as to prevent state governments from ever denying citizenship to blacks born in the United States.

But in 1868, the United States had no formal immigration policy, and the authors therefore saw no need to address immigration explicitly in the amendment.

The United States did not limit immigration in 1868 when the Fourteenth Amendment was ratified. Thus there were, by definition, no illegal immigrants and the issue of citizenship for children of those here in violation of the law was nonexistent. Granting of automatic citizenship to children of illegal alien mothers is a recent and totally inadvertent and unforeseen result of the amendment and the Reconstructionist period in which it was ratified. It is preposterous it is to grant citizenship to the children of foreign criminals. We must petition Congress to clarify the misinterpretation of the 14th Amendment and get rid of the “anchor baby” provision.

The misinterpretations of the 14th Amendment need fixing or this mockery of US laws will continue.

    BD,

If this is the woman in AZ I wrote a big opinion on someone’s site about it. If not I missed this one. The woman in AZ and her family worked hard to become citizens. Her husband has passed away and she has cancer. Her dying wish is to make sure she becomes a citizen and live long enough to vote in the next election. She has the citizenship now so she is trying for the election.

I saw on the news how Elivira Whatever is blaming us for her problems. If we had stopped her she wouldn’t be having these problems now???? If she hadn’t broken the law a 2nd time she wouldn’t have these problems now. Mexico is bring her back???? Because we have no right to treat her this way?????

Not once in her tv spots does she say anything about her son. She does say that she is glad to be where she is free and can come and go as she please’s. She wants her son to stay here to receive medical treatment for ADHD “AKA” in my kids time it was called hyperactive. It’s called being a kid. One that doesn’t sit in front of a tv or computer all day and stay out of mommy’s hair. My kids didn’t have computers but even on days it was raining or too cold to go out they did other things. But they didn’t sit in front of a tv. They drove me nuts. I’m sure that was more fun. I think I might have done the same thing when I was a kid.

Anyway why doesn’t she want her son with her where she is free and happy? Any odds on how long it’s going to take for her to get back in?Now that Mexico has taken to telling us what to do.

OK – one digression here: what the heck is up with THAT shirt? What has happened to good sartorial taste in this country? Even in Martha’s Vineyard: surely there are clothing boutiques there….

  4. Big Dog says:

I put that picture in there just for the shirt. Is she going for the free love hippie style of the 60s? Maybe that Mama Cass look. Maybe she is trying to hide that executive spread…
