Why So Quick Getting Abramoff in Jail?

Jack Abramoff is not a threat to run away, or as they say a flight risk, or he would be gone already. He was convicted and sentenced some time ago and he is scheduled to go to jail tomorrow. Federal prosecutors say they want him out of jail for now because they need his help in the corruption investigations. They could leave him out and give him credit for the time he is helping the feds. Why are they so anxious to get him behind bars where it will be more cumbersome to get to him and find out more information. Perhaps:
Convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff is scheduled to report to federal prison tomorrow, over the objections of federal prosecutors who say they still need his help to pursue leads on officials he allegedly bribed.
Sources close to the investigation say Abramoff has provided information on his dealings with and campaign contributions and gifts to “dozens of members of Congress and staff,” including what Abramoff has reportedly described as “six to eight seriously corrupt Democratic senators.” [my emphasis] ABC News
Perhaps they want him in jail so the investigations will drag on and those corrupt Democrats will be old news by the time they are exposed. Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid all told us that only Republicans took Abramoff money and that they were what the doctor ordered to get things back on the up-and-up. It turns out, as I have said all along, that the corruptions crosses both aisles.
I am willing to bet that when these Democrats are exposed it will not be a big deal to the MSM or to the Democrats now running Congress. They hardly said anything about William Jefferson and he was caught with his hands in the till. They glossed over all the corruption that Reid is involved in and pointed fingers to the right. If I were Abramoff I would spout out the names the next time the cameras were in my face so that the American public would know who they are, though they would probably edit that out.
