You Will See What Kind Of People The Dems Are

The Democrats are looking at losing the House and they are not pretending any longer that holding on is a possibility. Of course they could hold it but right now they believe they will lose it and they are making plans based on that.
The Democrats are leaving a week early for their month off and do not plan to return until sometime in September (all of Congress will be off but the Dems set the schedule) in order to work on keeping their jobs but they have all but conceded that they will lose control of at least one chamber of Congress.
So what will they do? Looks like they will try to pass every major piece of legislation but not until after the election. It would be political suicide to push those things now so they will wait and if they lose control they plan on pushing it all during the lame duck session. It looks like they will try to use some parliamentary procedures to avoid drawing things out so it remains to be seen if they will be able to thwart a Republican filibuster in the Senate.
Outgoing Dems will not have to worry about their votes so they will vote for anything and they will add as much pork to bills as they can. It will be one last shot for them to take as much as they can.
In other words, they will be sore losers and will saddle the country with even more debt. They will vote for things that their constituents do not want (the very things that cost them their jobs) as a big fat F**k You to the people who they are supposed to represent.
If they vote for things that they would not have if they were running for reelection then they will be showing us what cowards they really are.
It all remains to be seen but if they act stupid their constituents should be waiting for them with pitchforks, tar, and feathers…
And in case you were wondering, this is the Obama-Pelosi plan…

I wouldn’t put much weight in what Fund says. First of all the GOP isn’t exactly pulling away in generic polling like they need to for big gains so I have no idea why the Dems would start to feel any more nervous about it now than a few weeks back.
Second, just because there is rumblings of lame duck legislation does not mean the Democrats are conceding the House or the Senate. They’re certainly not going to gain seats in Congress so talk of finding ways of getting any last minute pieces with the current majority isn’t all that surprising.
What is wrong with Fund?
The generic polling matters little since all politics is local and many of the Democrats are polling badly or are closer than they would like. Fund refers to a Dem pollster and several other pollsters are predicting a change in ownership (so to speak).
It might not happen but keep your eyes open after the election to see who loads with pork and what they try to push trough. They will try to get small measures now and then just add to them with reconciliation or some other tactic.
You say not to pay attention but will you vow, right now, to condemn anyone who does this or parliamentary maneuvers that bypass normal procedures and thwart the will of the voters?
The Dems will lose big, and not because the Repubs are all that great, but just because the Dems ARE all that bad- it is one thing to have an agenda, but to treat the vast American public as if they are morons that can’t tell when they are getting unwanted and unconstitutional laws rammed down their throats DESPITE their opposition- well, that’s where, electorally, they are shooting themselves in the foot.
Let’s replace a Dem with a Rep., and a Rep with a Dem, just to clean house- then have a Constitutional Convention, where term limits are enacted into law, and the IRS is phased out in favor of a ten to twelve percent flat tax with NO loopholes, and we would have a good start on reclaiming our nation.
The petty divisional issues of abortion, same sex marriage, and gun control are just straw men to distract us- we can deal with these when we get majorities.
